About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

by Heather on 2025-10-31The Arena at TD Place - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

5440 and Foreigner at TD Place! One of the best shows I have seen this year. Only hit after hit after hit. We knew ALL the songs and that makes the experience FABULOUS. More like this please.

Sound was amazing. Light show awesome. Both 54-40 and Foreigner were amazing. Venue was great too. Would definitely go see both bands again!

The sound system was great not like the one for back up bands at the Canadian Tire Centre. The entertainment provided by the leader singers through their stories was great. Of course, the music was the centre piece. Really great concert.

  • A Fine Show

by Hugo on 2025-10-31The Arena at TD Place - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Luis Maldonado, as lead vocalist, was highly impressive. And that he is an amazing guitarist made it even more interesting. I noted that the low notes of a few songs were problematic (especially ´Bridge Over Troubled Water’), but that might have been related to sound equipment used. It was also great to have a Canadian presence on stage (54-40, Gordie Brown), although these folks were not on the same musical level.

the Foreigner concert did not disappoint. It was like listening to their studio albums of the last 50 years. Incredible experience. I would go back in a heart beat! Rock on!!!

We made this concert a family event with our nephew, his wife and our great nephew, who is 14 years old. He LOVES all our 70s-80s music. We were singing along to all the songs and, of course, loved all the music.

  • Near perfection

by Syl20 on 2025-10-31The Arena at TD Place - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

FOREIGNER (new era) was exactly like the 80's band ... every word, every note was perfect ... it was like listening to the CD ! Lighting and Sound was perfect also ! Too bad they didn't Play a great hit like "That was yesterday" The only negative thing was the Time IT took for FOREIGNER to start ... Didn't pay to listen to 54-40 go on and on and it was very long to change the set !!! Luis as lead vocal was PERFECT !!!

Amazing Music! Loved the Foreigner Concert. But the venue is not a great place. TD place is very run down. Definitely won’t be returning until the Reno’s Are complete.

  • Great concert

by Red Bel on 2025-10-31The Arena at TD Place - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

The band played all the tunes that we remembered , sound was good and the new lead singer Luis Maldonaldo was exceptional...sounds exactly like the original singer. The lighting was below expectations , kind of on the cheaper side and the video screens were not projecting the singers, which is disappointing for the concert goers who are farther up..compared to most concerts we went to, where you can focus on the band members when they are singing or doing a solo..

  • Bon du début à la fin.

    by Cedric A on 2025-10-28Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

Tres bon show, le decor assez simple mais avec une jeux de lumières exceptionnel. Le groupe était tres interactif avec le public et se donnait a 100%. Je suggère a tous d aller voir si l occasion se représente.

I will start with the opening act, 54-40. I found them to be one of the best opening acts that I've seen. Their musical style was unique. Their stage presence was great. Foreigner's set was excellent. They ran through most of Foreigner's hits, which are numerous. The lead singer had a dynamic voice and did justice to the Foreigner songs. The sound was excellent and the lighting was good. Foreigner is all about the songs. It doesn't matter that the original members do not play with the band anymore. What matters is that the band members are good players and that they play the songs like they were originally recordrd.
