About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

More about FOREIGNER -- including individual band member bios, tour dates, merchandise, and more -- can be found on the band's official website, www.foreigneronline.com.

    That Was Fun!!!

by CJDFNS on 2011-03-19Southern Alberta Jubilee 03/18/2011 - Calgary

That was amazing. A great time. Second row and happy as can be. Unplugged was far better than expected. Opening act, some comedian, could have been a lot better. Sang all the classics just about, a new hit, a tune from The Beatles, and an Elvis hit. There was Q&A time where a few concert goers could ask Foreigner a question. Great responses, very funny. A few nice stories from the band. Laid back yet rocking good time. Autographed picks thrown in to the crowd. Got to touch Kelly's hand at the end after the encore as he ran across the stage giving high fives.

    unhappy new year.

by bcboy2 on 2011-01-08Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

IN 35+ Years of concert going this one rates as one of the worst........ The sound was terrible, and I mean terrible........ bass and treble driven to the highest peaks . Sound bouncing off the theater walls again and again and again. Plus this was sold as New Years with Foreigner !!!... But the band went off at 11.50 and we had to spend 10 long minutes with the babblings of Red Robinson....... Not what I had ordered.......... We didn't even wait for the band to return........ Ears bleeding, head spinning, we had to leave.......... $120 per ticket, worst New Years EVER.........................

    Keep on rockin!

by AH1974 on 2011-01-03River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Ya gotta keep on rockin, "The jukebox hero, got stars in his eyes". Well this karaoke hero here had stars in his eyes that night as they put on a rockin show! The new singer sounded similar to Lou Gramm, surprised only Mick Jones, guitarist, left! Did most good songs like Double Vision, Dirty White Boy, and Hot Blooded, could've done with Women, Say You Will, I don't wanna live without you, and midnight blue! Other than that, awesome show! Good energy and good theatrics!

    Foreigner was outstanding

by lulu8888 on 2011-01-02River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

I've become a 57 year old groupie. 2nd time seeing Foreigner was better than the first time (couple of years ago) at the River Rock. Great songs, loved the lightshow and I'm in love with the lead singer Kelly ... I'm sure most women are. To the band - keep up the passion, it shows. CD/DVD was a great buy at 20.00 Cdn. I was happy to see that 1/2 went to promote arts in BC.

    Great Show!

by AuntyLiLi on 2011-01-02Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

What a night! Great way to bring in the New Year. We went with a large group of friends, and we all enjoyed the show. Wheelchair seats aren't the best, it would be nice to be able to get those seats a little closer to the stage.

If I could afford it , I would do this every weekend. I was happy with all aspects of this event. I do wish Foreigner could have played longer but I do relize it was past Mick's bed time.

    Fantastic Performance

by swanky on 2011-01-02Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Kelly Hansen has definitely breathed new life into the band. And you'd swear Mick Jones (founding member) on lead guitar is still in his mid-40s with his guitar prowess. I loved the couple of songs from their new album as well. A huge bonus for me was how they squeezed in a song called "Long Long Way from Home", which wasn't on that night's setlist. They play it a lot on KZOK Seattle, and It's one of my all time fave's. I'd noticed on the setlist.fm website that they don't play it very often, so I requested it on their Facebook fan page, and lo and behold... they played it just before the midnight New Year's break! I'm thinking one of them reads the messages on the fan page? Who knows - anyway, I was ecstatic!! Would see them again in a heartbeat - maybe I should make a trip to the UK in the spring??

    Great Show So So Service

by Anonymous on 2011-01-02Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

The overall experience was great however they ran out of food and the sound wasn't that great even though our group of 4 sat 4 rows from the stage. Had to line up to buy a drink at the bar instead of having table service and when you spend $175.00 per ticket you'd expect a better level of service.

Foreigner at the River Rock Theater

by Binkylove on 2011-01-01River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Awesome, excellent, fabulous concert. Great guitar, great lead singer. Loved every moment, looked like everyone was having a wonderful time. Sound may have been a little too loud. Flashing lights a little too much.

    Foreigner was awesome!

by Saucylady on 2011-01-01River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Wow - that was an awesome show! Kelly, Mick and the rest played and sang their hearts out! We loved Kelly's vocals and I remember him from Hurricane! Foreigner is one of the best live bands I've seen in a long time! Love how they work with local schools and give back from their CD sales (which is one of the best CD/DVD combos out there) to local Music Dept. As a school teacher myself I see beyond the value of this....What a rush for those young kids to have an opportunity to sing with the band!

    Wrong night to see Foreigner

by Stickboy on 2011-01-01River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

They had 2 or 3 weeks off and it showed. Slow start . Double Vision and Head Games are great songs but it wasn't until Dirty White Boy they got going. The sound was below average and I've seen 20 shows there. Micks guitar problems were horrific . No sound for the whole intro to Hot Blooded and that wasn't the first time . Hot Blooded is at the end of the night . Jube Box Hero no guitar for the last minute plus. He must have been floored at the sound techs. Pretending to play a guitar with no sound,....... embarrassing i'm sure . Wonder how the next night went at Red Robinson. Would love to see them when everything is working and maybe they should warm up backstage. Overall great musicians.... off night for them and there crew .

Nice and loud, lots of energy. Sounded good, great vocals. Better than expected which is good because ticket price more than Styx, REO Speedwagon and other comparable bands. Good set list. Would recommend.
