GAELIC STORM IN CONCERT:

"High energy", "fun-filled", "tremendously talented", and "the ultimate party band" are just a few of the ways that ticket buyers have described Gaelic Storm in concert. The five-piece Celtic band specializes in blending traditional Irish music with modern rock, whipping up a dance-ready sound that appeals to music lovers of all kinds. At their raucous live performances, you'll see rock fans who love the band's infectious energy alongside folk fans captivated by their entertaining stories. Along with fun renditions of traditional Irish and Scottish music, the band is also famous for their crowd-pleasing comedic banter and their easy ability to engage the crowd with sing-a-long favorites like "What's The Rumpus?" and "Drink The Night Away". With no signs of slowing down, Gaelic Storm is an unmissable live act that concertgoers won't want to miss.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Led by founding members Patrick Murphy and Steve Twigger, Gaelic Storm started playing at pubs in 1996 in Santa Monica, CA, stunning audiences with their modern take on Celtic music. Their big break came in 1997 when they appeared onscreen as the steerage band in the Oscar-winning film Titanic performing "An Irish Party In Third Class". The exposure led to extensive touring and they've since performed throughout US, Canada, UK, Japan, and France. They've also become a staple on the cruise ship circuit, where they've toured alongside major acts like Bare Naked Ladies, Zac Brown Band, The Beach Boys, and Michael Franti. Their tenth album, 2014's Full Irish, compiled the band's greatest hits from 2004-2014 and became their fifth consecutive release to top the Billboard World Albums chart.

  • Gaelic Storm were perfect.

This band is the worlds most underrated group. Their energy and cohesiveness on stage is remarkable. Note for note, they deliver a perfect performance. The banter and interaction with the audience is well done and you end up feeling you are part of the performance. Their songs are witty and well thought out. The solos played by each musician are laid down flawlessly and were inserted into each piece like the ingredients of a perfect recipe made by a Three Michelin Star Chef. And after the gig the band came out to meet the audience and interact with us like old friends.

This band is always fun. I have only seen them perform at festivals where they had time limits to share the stage. At RAMA the stage was all theirs and allowed for hilarious audience participation and more time for comedic back stories about the songs. We felt like we got a music perforomance and a comedy act. It was a toe tapping, handclapping, incredibly funny night. Gaelic Storm has never disappointed.

The concert was amazing! The band got the audience involved and everyone in the audience was dancing and singing by the end of the night. Also, the band made themselves available after the show for pictures and signatures, which was really nice. I loved it so much that I'm already planning to see them again, and bringing all my friends.

  • Gaelic Storm at the Ark

It was an outstanding concert . The venue was perfect for the group. The interaction Steve and Patrick had with each of and the crowd is as much a part of the event as the awesome music. Jesse Burns was on fire with her fiddle playing and Peter Purvis made this Canadian/Scotsman proud with his bagpipe/flute/tin whistle playing. If you haven't had a chance to see a great concert I recommend you see this Band. The duals Jesse and Peter did were fantastic and Ryan Lacy's drum playing is something to see.
