    Old School Concert

    by Teddy101 on 2018-04-10Century Casino - Edmonton

When he played and sang, the music was good. He still has the voice. But I thought he talked too much. Always with the story before a song. One time when he started talking, I went to the washroom, stopped off at the bar to get a drink on the way back and when I got to my seat, he was still talking. Too much talking. And unfortunately, we were at table 85. Directly behind the sound guy, so he was always in the way. And he wore a cowboy hat, which made it even worse. They shouldn't have a table there.

    Rockin after all these years

by Goulash on 2013-03-18Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

Saw Gary live 30+ years ago. Truly amazing he can still belt it out -hitting the high notes without effort. He confided that he had just hit a milestone birthday - as he called it 60 + 10. Sharp wit , trim physique, quick one liners. Wouldn't we all be so lucky. Keep up the good work! If you are reading this Gary, how about coming up to Vancouver and the spacious confines of the 2 area casinos with great fan seating; the River Rock or Red Robinson Theatre.

Gary Puckett is a real showman

by Crafty on 2010-06-25Century Casino - Edmonton

I have been a Gary Puckett fan for many years but never saw him live until this week. He had one of the best voices of all pop singers in the 60's and it is still going strong. He had a great back-up band(no, not the Union Gap) and he peppered his show with jokes and revelations from the sixties(a meeting with Elvis). I hope he comes back to town again as I would recommend to all to see him live. GREAT show!!!

    Puckett still has it !!

by KeithfromCanada on 2010-06-24Century Casino - Edmonton

Even though the Union Gap broke up in 1971, Gary Puckett carries the flame and keeps the bands' name alive.. With a great selection of hits and oldies ,Gary Puckett still has that great voice that made Gary Puckett & The Union Gap radio staples in the late 60's. Looking much younger than his 50-17 years, Puckett gave the crowd what they wanted- all the hits and not much filler. After the show, he mingled with the fans and promoted his self produced CDs which included not only the standard hits and live show but a rare gem consisting of "lost Tapes" from the early 70's.
