    Gigantour 2013

by Anonymous on 2013-07-29Stampede Corral - Calgary

    - there were 6 bands on the original schedule, one band had to pull out, so given the change we were surprised that instead of the overall show having slightly longer sets - maybe an extra song per band? All it meant is that the show finished early and there were longer breaks between bands - VERY disappointing. The line to get drinks took 40 (forty) minutes. Unbelievable. The venue (Stampede Corral) was horrible. It would put me off seeing another show there. They need to sort out their refreshments set up. It was unbelievable. Black Label society were disappointing - mostly droning monotonous noise and ZW fret wanking through a lot of it. I nipped off to the washroom a few minutes into the overly indulgent guitar solo, came back, and it was still going on...zzzzz.

    Megadeth Gigantour2013

by scottallica on 2013-07-28Stampede Corral - Calgary

Jason Newstead missed playing due to health reasons.Death Division have a huge future, very great band. Hellyeah were amazing. David Draimans singing for the band Device is a must see & the band sounded great. Black Label Society were bang on as usual. Megadeth are the best heavy band live ever. The current lineup has the best live sound. Shawn Drover is an incredible drummer. Dave Ellefson is solid as always. Daves singing sounded great and it also helps that he is the best rythem guitarist ever. Chris Broderick is the standout lead guitar player of our time. The concert was very fluid, setup times were quick between bands.

What a great show and a thrill to see super talented legends Megadeth for first time. Loved the show and the energy. Tons of talent on display.

Awesome show, great bands with great music I'd never heard before. I just REALLY wish Megadeth would come to Calgary and do a full show with just one other band to open for them. Without question, they've got more than enough music to put on a 2-3 hour show with just themselves. Love you Megadeth, come back soon!

    Megedeth or nothing

As far as I am concerned, Megadeth is and always was the number 1 metal band on the face of the earth! My son & I loved every minute!

    Hellyeah was awesome!!!!

by skullsinc on 2013-07-28Stampede Corral - Calgary

Once again Hellyeah put on one hell of a show and got screwed by being the second opening band! How is it that device came on after them and killed the crowd? The beer line up was longer halfway during devices set, then it was during break between bands. Megadeth also killed it. For those to still be putting on a great show is awesome.

    Megadeth Ruled

by Kurtuzzi on 2013-07-26Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - Regina

Although 2 of the 6 bands on the tour did not perform in Regina, the other 4 made up for it. Chad from Hellyeah has way too much energy. He cut himself open while raging around the stage. Device was solid, played a couple covers, and set the stage for Black Label Society. The Zakk Wylde show was intense. A 10 min guitar solo... Unbelievable. Then there was Megadeth. The visual show was impressive and the music was bang on. One can tell they have been doing this for a long time.

Awesome show! Was supposed to be 6 acts but was only 4. Still a great show for the price of the ticket. 4 great bands that did not disappoint.

All the bands were awesome Hellyeah, Device, BLack label Society and Megadeth. The only complaint is that the sound crew wasn't good couldn't hear the what they were singing half the time had it too loud or something and I had earplugs in.

Would of appreciated an email regarding the no show for 2 if the acts as the opening act would if been the 3 rd act and I would of seen the whole act as I worked till 5 and it stated at 4:30 and would of seen the whole set of Hellyeah not part if it. You at ticket master notify me before and ask for a review how come no notification of this change??

2/3 of lineup arrived and still delivered

by chiefkewj on 2013-07-25MTS Centre - Winnipeg

The concert headlined by Megadeth was an amazing show, along with Black Label Society, Device, and Hellyeah. Unfortunately the other 1/3 of the lineup of Gigantour was a no show. The four bands who showed stilled delivered tho. Only downer, and many people who spoke to in attendance were displeased with the fact that Hellyeah was opener, when should have been co-headliner or at least the 3rd band to take the stage. The superband known as Hellyeah is backed by the legendary Vinnie Paul, and they were given opening status. Other then that, it is was a great show.

    Deth and BLS! AWESOME!

by Furk on 2013-07-25MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Megadeth and Black Label Society are my two favorite bands. Playing together on the same tour is an automatic go see the concert. Black Label was amazing in their 60 minute performance. Megadeth with video screens, a smoke machine, risers in front of the drum kit was very interesting, but the live performance was the best I have ever seen.

    Gigantour Edmonton 2012

by BenDover on 2012-07-20Shaw - Edmonton

I typically love going to concerts at the Shaw but was disappointed this time. The line up was huge and we stood in line for over an hour and missed Lacuna Coil. I know they are trying to get people through security as fast as they can but it was not enough. Volbeat was awesome (but put on a better show last time they were in Edmonton at Reds). I thought Megadeth wasn't as good as I've seen them in the past as well.
