Lacuna Coil and Motorhead both played fairly short sets, but were amazing. Volbeat played a full set and absolutely aced it! Did not stick around for Megadeth.

Megadeth VIP in Edmonton was great fun!!

by 1hipmama on 2012-02-26Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

Treated myself and my son to VIP tickets for Gigantour/Megadeth in Edmonton. We both enjoyed it. I was surprised there were that may VIPs, however, all parts of the meet seemed to go as planned. The bands inclided Lacuna Coil, Volbeat, Motörhead and Megadeth. All bands were pretty good. I would gladly do again

    Volbeat Stole the Show!!!

    by Bill123 on 2012-02-25Prairieland Park - Saskatoon

The Venue sucked...the sound was horrible...the beer garden set up made viewing the show at a good location nearly impossible. On the upside, VOLBEAT rocked the night!!!!!! We need to get them back as a headliner!!

    The Gigantour is awesome!!!

by Instagator68 on 2012-02-23Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

Seen 3 bands for the first time. The Italian gothic band, Lacuna Coil was good. Volbeat from Denmark was better. Motorhead was awesome to see as well. i had seen Megadeth at Woodstock 99 before. They are still great today. Dave Mustaine is a guitar wizard!!!

by deathmob on 2012-02-21Prairieland Park - Saskatoon

my son had a wonderful, unforgettable time of his life. That was his 16th birthday present and he loved it. I think he had a tear! He even cought a pick from Dave Mustane. Aww, He is his reason for playing a guitar..He will never forget his first time attending a concert, he will tell his kids and probably will take them to concerts.

    Motorhead stole the show !!

by Kutter on 2012-02-21Big Four Building - Calgary

opening band, not a fan. Volbeat should have played more. Motorhead was awesome, Lemmy rocked it out, nothing fancy, just rock n roll. Megadeth, good, the duet made me think of Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, its a metal show come on.

Great bands, great set up for the concert but not so great acoustics. Loved the drum solo. Volbeat had a very clear cut sound.

    simply mind blowing

by Soelmo on 2012-02-20Big Four Building - Calgary

All three bands were awesome. It was my first time seeing all three bands live, and tecniqually my first metal concert and my mind was definitely blown. Motörhead was amazing for lack of a more epic term, my neck still hurts from head banging. Solos were phonominal. Lacuna coil was awesome I can't wait to see them again in April. Megadeth of course amazing. Volbeat rocked it. Bands I didn't know I'd like blew my mind. Go to this concert!!

    Excellent night of Metal

by Switchy on 2012-02-20Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

An absolutely amazing night. I missed Lacuna Coil due to the insane line to get in, but the three other bands were phenomenal. Motorhead stole the show, but Megadeth was a winner as well. Would definitely recommend this show to a friend.

    Great conert...

by Colin74 on 2012-02-20Big Four Building - Calgary

Let me just say that I'm a lifelong Megadeth fan, so bear that in mind when reading. As my friends agreed, Megadeth and Motorhead sold the show - but Volbeat stole the show. They looked great, sounded great and put on a kick ass performance! Motorhead... Lemmy.... What more needs to be said. They were exactly what I expected them to be. (in a good way) Megadeth: Here's where it gets fun. Their sound was awesome. The music was tight, the sheer selection of guitars that Dave played was great - especially that double that he started the show with. The bad news... I don't know if it was Dave or the sound tech... but when he sang at mics other than the center one, he couldn't be heard. He may as well not have been singing. Even at the center mic, Dave's vocals were less than clearly audible. Would I see it again? For sure... kick ass show! Would I go there to see Lacuna Coil? No... they were a bit of a mismatch in this show. Very Evanescence-y feeling, which doesn't really jive with Megadeth, Volbeat and Motorhead, imho.

pounding the world like a battering ram

by filberto on 2012-02-20Big Four Building - Calgary

Metal Maniacs rejoice they cannot kill the metal, Lemmy will simply, not die. From Veruca ,sultry, salt to the Ramsteinian Vollbeat the warm up did just that, raise your temperature. Motorehead kicked you and Megadeath crushed you in the mosh pit. What more could any metal maniac want. LONG LIVE THE METAL Unfortunately for the youger folks they got crushed because of the stupid, stupid, rush standing room only venue. Imagine Lemmy is almost 70 other fans were around his age , 6 foot tall 250 pound men running at them from behind, this was not a good venue for the average age of the fans of the main bands.

    Gigantour is Back!

by WALLFLOWER on 2012-02-20Big Four Building - Calgary

Gigantour is finally back after a 4 year hiatus. They brought a very strong lineup with them. Megadeth, Motörhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil. This was my first Megadeth and Motörhead show and neither one of them disappointed. Lacuna Coil took the stage at 6:30 and for the short time they had, they played an amazing set. Volbeat was on next, I had seen them on their headlining tour before, but I was happy to see them again. They took the stage and they caught a lot of people off guard. After the first song, you could see even the people who didn't know about them, get into it. They played a great set and gained alot of fans. Next up was the all mighty Motörhead. Lemmy sounds as good as the albums and their short but great set blew me away. They finished the show with the metal classic Overkill and left the stage with Lemmy saying "we are Motörhead and we play rock n roll" And finally just after 10, Megadeth took the stage behind a black curtain. The beginning of trust was played behind the curtain and when it broke into the chorus, the curtain fell and the crowd went crazy. Dave invited Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil on stage to play a duet of A Tout le Monde. Megadeth played a solid 14 song set ending with Symphony of Destruction, Peace Sells and after a short encore break Holy Wars... Punishment Due
