I had a difficult time accessing my tickets on the phone as I haven't done it that way before and the checkers at the door helped me through the steps.
I have been to the Grand Slam in Toronto several times over the years. It’s a great venue and great overall experience. The students who work at the doors are very kind and polite.
Well organized event, lots of volunteers and staff to assist if needed, excellent signage to know where to go. Great curling, would definitely recommend anyone to come, great interaction with curlers, all and all excellent event.
Nice to see people in the seats. I found a lot more single fans this year. One thing i would like to see return is access to listening to the Sportsnet crew. We use to be able to use those over the ear receivers so we wouldn't miss anything. I saw some young people streaming from their phones with cords, but for most of us fans, that is not going to happen. Great curling, great views and great price. I would recommend it for any fans of any age
We booked the weekend package that included games from Friday @ 8pm through to both Championship matches on Sunday. Amazing curling! The athletes were so friendly & always willing to pose for pictures after the games & sign autographs. If you're considering a Grand Slam of Curling event then do it! You'll love it!!
Curling is a reserved sport that needs to find away to involve the crowd. Fan interaction, prizes, autograph sessions, programs etc would all eventually draw a bigger crowd. Its sad when the players beat you out the door after the game is over
It was brilliant to see the teams close up and even speak to them. We could head their discussions and everything went by really quickly!
First time at a curling event, so I may be in amazed with everything. I wasn't expecting to be that close to the action. And it completely heightened the excitement...
My experience at Ryerson's Mattamy Athletic Centre is always memorable, it is a great venue to watch an incredible, strategic and fun sport. That gather's people from all over the world to compete in something they enjoy!
Overall it was a good experience. I was disappointed that we were not asked to produce our QR code. On the site it said that we'd have to produce it. That gave us the confidence that only vaccinated would be there. It was very cold in the viewing area. We will come back next year.
QR code on phone made entrance to the event so easy. Too bad the event itself wasn't advertised better....best curlers in the world playing in front of 100 people, embarassing turnout from the GTA. Loved how close we sat to the ice.
Loved the day - saw two great Draws. Brad Gushue & his team were awesome.
Enjoyed the day - my friend and I love curling & this was the perfect time to be there.
Maybe 30 people In the stands of this beautiful facility. 4 terribly boring games on the ice.
Tour was great, curling was excellent, ice conditions seemed Okay a little frosty but fairly consistent. I feel there was a lack of signage for those who haven't been in the building before. I had tickets in the first and third row and would like if they had an entrance at the bottom instead of having to go to the second floor and walk down, with no hand rail, there was a door right at the bottom right beside the stands but it was excluded as a fan entry, players and staff only. The bar should have the option on non-alcoholic drinks for those who don't want to drink or have to drive after the games, having to pay for a vodka and coke, hold the vodka, was a tad expensive for the drink. There was no signage that I could have brought in a drink from the outside. Those minor glitches were not anything to detract from the good time I had watching the curling and seeing how the players made themselves available after the draws for fans was better than I have seen at other events
The event was good. Ice was good. People were friendly.
It was great to see all the best curlers (men and women) compete.
Great Event!! We were always warm & comfortable. Location was great. Organizers did a great job. We hope Regina hosts again.
Great atmosphere and curling shots for so early in the season. Nice to see all the high end teams in Regina!
Good event for a very reasonable cost. Good access to park and parking.
