Great Big Sea was excellent! They ensure that you get your moneys worth. It is seldom that the headliner invites the opening act band onto stage with them but GBS did it and it was amazing!
A wonderful night - these guys just keep putting on amazing shows! Can't wait until next year!
Great Big Sea didnt fail to entertain the crowd with their tales and high energy, they kept the audience on their feet clapping and singing along.
The show was fantastic. Having seen GBS before, we knew what to expect and were by no means disappointed. The band is so high energy, they can get the crowd whipped up to a frenzy in no time. It's easy to see how talented the boys are and we will definitely look to see them again soon.
What a great night! The show opened with Spirit of the West and the GBS took over. The crowd was on their feet for the next 2 hours, including 3 encores! What a great evening!
This concert was unforgettable!!! I have seen the band on several occasions but this show was definitely the best. It's a grest venue, so I'm sure that played a major role in the atmosphere. I can't wait until next year. I'm not sure I like the new look with all the facial hair but the music was out of this world. Spirit of the West are a great opening band for GBS.
I'm in my 30's and have been to a ton of concerts in my time, but this has to be one of the best I've ever been to! The most fun you will ever have at a concert...guaranteed!!
Definitely an amazing concert (: I love the band, and seeing them live was incredible. As was to be expected, they put on a great show - I can't wait to see them live again!
What a great combination...Spirit of the West and Great Big Sea...too much fun for words!!! My feet are killing me, my hands are sore, but wouldn't have missed it for the world. Will definitely see them again and again. Great job guys!!!
Wow, what a night! From start to finish, GBS was very entertaining. The energy on stage was amazing. The way the band was able to get audience participating without any trouble at all was awesome. It was a great time!!!
Quite simpley an amazing show. I had not thought about how similar yet different the two bands Spirirt of the West and Great Big Sea are. I truly belieave that last night we had the best Canadian music from literal coast to literal coast. Such a wonderful blend of toe tapping, foot stomping favorites to sweet melodies that had you singing and claping along for the entire two acts. Well Done Lads!!!
Great Big Sea always puts on a great show. They're funny, they get you up out of your seat, and singing along. The non-GBS (summer of 69, Proclaimers, ABBA...) sing-along was among the highlights. Lots of the favourites on the set list. Opening band Spirit of the West was the cherry on top. The combined encore was awesome. I would highly recommend this show to anyone with the opportunity to attend further along the tour.
Great Big Sea performed a stellar set to an appreciative audience who sang along with the boys. The audience was up and moving throughout the performance. At points the audience drowned out Great Big Sea but this is all part of the experience. They performed a number of hits as well as a few lesser known songs. Overall it was a great concert as I knew it would be...
This is the third time I have seen the boys in Toronto, and they NEVER disappoint!! They connect with their audience every time. No need for lots of props or fireworks like other shows. Their lyricks touch everyone in the every day humanness of living. The Ups the Downs, they are real people.
2 amazing Canadian bands, Spirit of the West and Great Big Sea, together under one roof was amazing.. Spirit of the West opened the show and got the crowd on their feet with their lively, fun celtic-folk-rock fusion music and the crowd never sat down again once Great Big Sea hit the stage.. GBS was totally engaging with their set of East coast rock and folk truly made you proud of all the talent that Canada has brought to the world stage.. !! The sing-a-long midway through was the most fun I've ever had at a concert and the encore performance with GBS & SoTW was capital "S" Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet !!

The bands were awesome, the bands were awesome! The only problem,was couldn't always understand when they were talking. But that's not the band's fault it was the location's sound that was a little off.
I thought the show was amazing, and we danced our hearts away even though we were in section 4... sections made no difference, it was one big East Coast party!! Im soo happy it didn't rain, but I TOTALLY would have gone with the rain (we would have been soaked). I can't wait until they come again next year!
The show was upbeat ,and very entertaining ..It was lacking the usual steady off your seat, dancing and clapping...there were times when it slowed down to the point of the fans returning to their seats...I found myself checking my watch a couple of times...I did enjoy it myself...And will go again as a good fan...
The GBS show was easily the best atmosphere I have seen at a concert! They really get the crowd going. They are awesome live. Go see them!
