Greg Davies is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer and actor who came to fame by playing the eccentric Mr. Gilbert in the British coming-of-age television teen sitcom The Inbetweeners on Channel 4. Davies studied drama and English at Brunel University, teaching drama for 13 years at a number of secondary schools before pivoting to his own career in acting and comedy. He is the writer, creator and star of Channel 4’s Man Down, and the host of comedy panel game shows Taskmaster and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He hosted the 2018 Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium — which was viewed by over 152 million people worldwide — before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle while they were still the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Davies’ live comedy special You Magnificent Beast was recorded at London’s Hammersmith and is available to stream on Netflix. He has earned a BAFTA nomination Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme for his work in the five seasons of the sitcom Cuckoo.
