    First time

    by MH72 on 2015-04-15Sleeman Centre - Guelph

it was a good experience going to the Sleeman Centre for the first time seeing the Guelph Storm playing Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds, i like the match up and wanted to see the game regardless it being a hour away of where i live in wood bridge so i went to see it live as the fan atmosphere is great, but it was unfortunate they got beat bad in the game that part didn't make it good and worst getting swept by the Greyhounds a game after, but beside that it was good to see it live as i got to take some nice photos of the game and hoping next time i can take a 80-400mm Nikon lens to the Guelph game getting closer photos, i like the Guelph Storm and the jersey too one of my favorite team in the Ontario hockey league

    OHL awesome hockey!

by Natsky on 2015-04-15Sleeman Centre - Guelph

Exciting second round playoff game. Great smaller venue for watching hockey. All seats are close to the action in this stadium. Clean and many food options available. Little pricy of course on game night. OHL hockey is great family night out!

OHL Playoffs Game 5: Owen Sound @ Guelph Storm

by SharkDave on 2015-04-09Sleeman Centre - Guelph

Great venue. Loud and fun crowd and an amazing product on the ice. However, lines for concessions and bathrooms get very long quickly during intermission.

    Live sports

We were here to watch our nephew (who plays for Sarnia) play up with the Sting in their last regular season game before the playoffs, so it very exciting. They lost but he got lots of playing time so that was the good part.

First OHL game we have watched

    by Bucko2855 on 2015-03-20Sleeman Centre - Guelph

This arena is family friendly and there is not a bad seat in the house. Guelph hosted the nearby Kitchener Rangers and what a great game.

Great atmosphere and good times. Rink is updated on outside but old school inside which makes for a great environment

Poor parking availability. Nice cozy rink, good sightlines but not enough washrooms.

    Great game!

Great game, and I had a great seat. Although there were multiple fights against the players, I liked the game and I think it was well played. Storm lost though :( :(

    Great Event, Very Good Venue

    by Auto0072 on 2014-05-05Sleeman Centre - Guelph

To review the event one must look at the complex. It's a nice multi-purpose complex, sightlines from the seat is very good although I'd select the higher rows as the locals know these are the best view points. Concession stands the bar/restaurant and washroom areas are very good. Main time clock has great visuals for spectators, private boxes are offer very good sightlines and there appears to be enough for a rink that is a sellout for hockey 5,000 maybe 6,000 for a concert. Here are two areas of concern: Visible adequate parking in the area for a visitor is not good, street parking is available with a couple of lots within a 5 block area of this downtown location (Get there early for an event). Entering and especially exiting the arena for a packed house game is complicated and slow. I would think, it's is because it's location is in a mall setting. A set of escalators at the doors to the rink would look after this and help everyone involved from patrons to security

OHL Playoffs - Erie @ Guelph

    by Superstar7 on 2014-04-28Sleeman Centre - Guelph

The game was great as OHL playoff games almost always are, Connor McDavid is going to be a star in the NHL - no doubt. The Storm played very well as well. But ........as I am not from Guelph - the parking near the arena -totally sucks. My family and I drove around for a looooong time looking for a spot and missed part of the first period. 3 tiny little parking lots near the arena all filled up quickly, and there are not a lot of spots close by on the side streets either. Also there are also NO signs around Guelph directing you to the arena. The address is listed on one street but the arena entrance is actually on another. Very poor infrastructure and experience for fans from out of town getting to a game in Guelph compared to other OHL towns I have attended games at . If I had the chance to do it over - I would skip the game, because who wants to drive around looking for parking before

Storm win game 5 over the Otters!

by SharkDave on 2014-04-28Sleeman Centre - Guelph

Excellent atmosphere with another sellout crowd. The lines for the washroom and refreshments were not as bad this game. For the kids there was lots of free giveaways and a dance cam. Amazing to see the Storm win the Wayne Gretzky trophy!!! Bring on the finals!!!

Guelph Storm game 5 against Erie Otters

    by justinsmomma2 on 2014-04-28Sleeman Centre - Guelph

fantastic game at the Sleeman Center in Guelph, Ontario The Storm came out skating hard and aiming for the back of the net. There were a lot of end to end action, that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats. Lots of cheering and horns blowing, as the Storm were putting points on the board. Cheers and Congratulations to the Guelph Storm for winning the series against the Erie Otters. Good Luck to the gentlemen who will be going on further in their careers into the NHL entry level. You made Guelph very happy, and remember this is your second home.
