At “The Donut Box,” Ticat fans can be heard cheering along with team mascots Stripes and T.C. and sounding off the longtime "Oskee Wee Wee" chant led by Pigskin Pete. The 23,218-seat multi-purpose stadium has hosted two Grey Cup championship games, including the 2021 matchup between the Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Great Game, Great atmosphere! Sold out home town crowd and we won!
This labour day classic game was a great time, VERY happy that Hamilton won. We did not have to wait too long to get in and made it to our seats comfortably! We were in a big group and didn't have any troubles. The bathroom linesup were long but nothing out of the ordinary. I would definitely go see another game again at Ivor Wynne, and recommend it to any age groups, as various groups were there. One thing that was really organized was the free HSR shuttle from Lime Ridge Mall. I think it's a great idea rather then adding more traffic around the stadium, and causing pollution.
GREAT GAME !!! Of course the Ti-Cats won... GO CATS GO... The Ti=Cats are looking better than they have in years and the defence is playing awesome. This game was also a great game by Dave Stala. I would have liked to see Bruce get a touchdown though....I am sure that celebration would have been something to see.
This was an event, not just a football game. Great tailgate parties all day and awesome pre-game events. The game was good too. The sell out crowd was electrifying and the fans and players were feeding off the energy. The weather was perfect(even though it was calling for rain) sunny all day but not too hot. Finally after all these years of disappointment, we come away happy and with a win.
what an amazing show! great game! both teams put on a great show!
it was a great day as i spent it with my two step sons and watch a very entertianing game
This was my first time going to a CFL game and it was incredible! The seats were perfect and the weather was gorgeous; getting the tickets in the first place was also very easy and convenient with ticketmaster. As this was such a positive experience, I will definetly be looking to ticketmaster again for future CFL games!
good seats at a bad football game...but it was still fun. Even the ribbing we got from the Ti-cats fans was worth the drive
I f your going to go watch a CFL game, Ivor Wynne stadium leaves Rogers concrete convertible in the dust. Concessions arn't much to write home about, but the seating poximity to the field can't be beat. Very simply because the Ti-Cat stadium was built for football and Rogers was built for baseball; football is a second class citizen at Rogers.
My son and his friend were able to get to the Ti-cats/ Argo game because of ticketmaster! They had an awesome time with some pretty great seats. Thanks for the memories, it's not often a kid gets to see such a great game without the hassle of long lines and pushy crowds.
It was my first time attending a CFL game and it was fantasic!!! I look forward to going to more games in Hamilton. They have the best fans!!
Loved the atmosphere - the fans- the family and the hospitality of the staff. Shgould have had more gates open to enter but that's it. Great time, Thanks Hamilton for an unforgettable experience. EAT THEM RAW!!
The game sent about 30,000 fans home happy so that was good if you're a TiCats fan. However, the game day experience was awful. There was almost zero crowd control outside the stadium so while many of us lined up patiently to get in (our wait was an unacceptable 35 minutes!!), many others simply walked to the front of the line and were allowed in. With the advance knowledge that they had 30,000 people attending, they should have done much more in terms of getting people through the turnstiles in a more timely manner. We arrived early and we still missed the Russ Jackson intro, the fly-overs and anthem. The lack of any kind of half-time show was truly bush league. Nada!! Zip!!! I thought the Argos season opener last year where they had a pizza twirler was sad but this was truly pathetic. With a full house, it was impossible to get to the concession stands and back to your seat during the half time. But were there any sellers in the stands during the game? Not one that I saw. It would be nice if they printed enough programs so that everyone could get one. It would have been a nice little souvenir to take home. As I said, the game itself was fine. I wish the same could be said of the game day experience.
The hype of the crowd and the play of the TiCats was great
At last! The long suffering Ticat fans get to enjoy seeing the hated Argos go down in flames thanks to a fierce defensive effort. Th offence is improving so the future is bright.
Purchasing Ticat tickets through Ticketmaster was easy and seamless. The annual Labour Day Classic between the Ticats and Argos was "top drawer" as usual; especially since the Cats trounced the Argos.
I took my son and went to the labor day classic, and omg the seats were the best, the crowd was unbelievable, and omg what a butt kicking did the ti cats give the argos. a good time had by all, yaaaaaaaaaa ti cats YOU ROCK
The Sept 7, 2009 Hamilton Tiger-Cats Vs Toronto Argonauts game was outstanding. The entire event was action packed and fun. The fighter jet flyby was second to none. I will go again next year.
I went to Ivor Wynne for the Ti Cats and Argos game yesterday. I don't think I can ever go back to Rogers Centre for football. The rivelry was unbelievable, but the fans were into the game and understood the game better that a Toronto crowd.. Only complaints, the sound system is terrible and I couldn't figure out some of the penelties. Also the beer lineups and line up to get in were terrible. Open a few more gates and beer stands.
game was a nailbiter with an awesome outcome! Wish ti cats played like that all season
