Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field
Tim Hortons Field has been the home of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats since 2014. Built on the site of the long-standing Ivor Wynne Stadium, Tim Hortons Field was built for the 2015 Pan American Games and has become a vibrant hub for CFL action. At “The Donut Box,” Ticat fans can be heard cheering along with team mascots Stripes and T.C. and sounding off the longtime "Oskee Wee Wee" chant led by Pigskin Pete. The 23,218-seat multi-purpose stadium has hosted two Grey Cup championship games, including the 2021 matchup between the Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 2023, the capacity record for the stadium was set at 28,808 during the 110th Grey Cup game.

AMAZING! What else can I say, this was by far the best live sports event I have been too! Despite the weather, it was packed with excitement from the very first whistle to the very last whistle. The city of Hamilton roars on game night! Ivor Wynne Stadium is the place to be!
Although it was a rainy night, at least it was warm! A good old CFL game with lots of action, and two teams that were fairly evenly matched. The venue is great because you are right up close with the players - also, Ti-Cat fans sure love their team (yes I am an Esks fan). Really enjoyed the game though!
It was a very enjoyalbe evening, despite the rain..
Game was great its to bad it rained. I would love to watch them again.
Absolutely awesome seats. They were waiting at 'will call' as promised. Game exciting despite the pouring rain. Cats have grit and no quit this year.
While the rain made for a soggy experience, the game was awesome, the seats were in an excellent location, the crowd around us was entertaining and so were the extra events and promotions. In short, a totally enjoyable evening.
Sitting in the pouring rain for 4 hours, we were not disappointed. What a great night of entertainment--excellent football and play-making well worth the soak! Thanks to DeAndra Cobb, Prechae Rodriguez, QB QP, Markeith Knowlton, Chris Thompson and Chris Davis. BRAVO!!
we enjoyed an amazing football game!!! The Ticats actually showed up and played some football. The weather sucked, but b/c of the well played game we stayed to the very end!! One bad comment, i recieved a email about it being free pop and hotdog day and we couldnt find it anywhere!!
This sports event at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton was important for both teams. For Edmonton they were tied for 1st place in the West and Hamilton struggling to maintain 2nd place in the East. This is the first time I have utilized Ticketmaster for event tickets. The process, payment and access to the event went smoothly with no unpleasant surprises. I purchased two tickets to take my son for his first CFL experience on his 16th birthday. Seats were precisely as described on the Ticketmaster web page so again no unpleasant surprises. The game was very exciting and entertaining as a tie score prevailed until the last minute of regular time when the home team (Hamilton) scored what eventually became the winning touchdown. The only significant negative aspect of the event was provided by Mother Nature as a steady but gentle rain fell during most of the game leaving most unprepared spectators soaked to the skin as Ivor Wynne Stadium is a completely open venue with absolutely no overhead protection from the elements. All in all we totally enjoyed our time spent watching a truly Canadian Sports event. In hindsight I would like to suggest to customers purchasing tickets in bench seating sections that it would be advisable to bring a blanket or seat pad as the plastic bench seats offer little comfort for a two to three hour event. Supervised parking is another aspect worthy of mention as parking close to the Stadium can cost up to $20.00. All in all, my Ticketmaster experience was totally satisfying therefore, without hesitation I recommend using Ticketmaster services to others when purchasing event tickets.
Fantastic game in the pouring rain! No-one left until the final whistle. Amazing game and amazing fans!
It was my first game this season. The team is much improved this year. Hopefully they will stick with what they have and develop a winner within the next couple years.
If you are a fan of exciting, quick play football, the Ti-Cats are the team to see. The venue, while old, is extremely well laid out. You can easily grab a beer, sausage and a smoke (if you are so inclined) during half-time. The seats are pretty basic, but you won't spend much time sitting in them. The atmosphere is passionate. There is no better way to spend a warm summer evening than CFL football.
I don't think any other stadium in the CFL or NFL gets you as close to the action as Ivor Wynne does! Defence played great, especially McIntyre and Beveridge. Porter finished a whole game. We got Angelo Mosca's autograph before the game.... very cool. My husband was on T.V.! We also sat with some long time season ticket holders who had us in stitches!! Best of all... the Ti-Cats beat the Lions 30-18!!! It was a great time. Eat 'em Raw!!!!!!!
I took my son to the game as a surprise . We had a great time. The staff was helpfull and the atmosphere was very postitive. Great fan spirit and hometown loyality in Hamilton!!!
Ti-Cats game lived up to the hype. The crowd was pumped with the opening kickoff and continued throughout the entire game. Each play brought the lively audience to their feet, whether it was defence or offence making a great play. The action was non-stop, and the crowd was often brought to their feet. During the commercial timeouts, fan interactive activities substituted for silence. This made the experience continuous and left no time for boredom. Cheerleaders always provide for visuals, but also inspired motivation for the team they hold in their hearts. Overall, the experience was entertaining, family-oriented fun.
The score is a review in and of itself, but I have to say that I was unimpressed with the stadium. I can handle the fact that it's old and the seats uncomfortable, but the lighting was so dim that I found it hard to follow the ball at times. Very odd for a professional football stadium.
Going to this venue with the family is a great night out
What a game, my first Tiger Cats game and football game ever. Heading back to New Zealand tomorrow. My relatives said it would be a boring game to watch - in fact they said it would be like watching the grass grow!! They were sooo wrong. Enjoyed every minute of it. We are New Zealand Rugby players and fans but this was just as exciting. Go Cats Go!!!
The process of getting my tickets were as easy as one two three. Prior to leaving for the game I just printed the tickets and off I went. The Ticats seem to be finally getting it together. The office was moving the ball very well against BC. The Defense, well what can I say, they stared down the Lions and went noise to noise with them on a gaol lne stance. I will be back for the next game.
