HARRY CONNICK, JR.
Harry Connick, Jr.’s career has exemplified excellence across multiple platforms in the entertainment world over the past three decades. He has received Grammy and Emmy awards as well as Tony nominations for his live and recorded musical performances, his achievements in film and television and his appearances on Broadway as both an actor and a composer. Connick continues to establish himself as a best-selling musician, singer, composer, and a legendary live performer with millions of recordings sold around the world.
The foundation of Connick’s art is the music of his native New Orleans, where he began performing as a pianist and vocalist at the age of five. Highlights of his music career include several multi-platinum recordings such as “When Harry Met Sally,” “Blue Light, Red Light (Someone’s There)”, “When My Heart Finds Christmas,” “Come By Me, and “Only You.” His debut album on legendary Verve Records, his new label home, titled True Love: A Celebration of Cole Porter was released in 2019 and which coincided with performances on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre in a show he wrote and directed: Harry Connick, Jr.- A Celebration of Cole Porter honoring the musical achievements of one of America’s most respected songwriters, Cole Porter. In 2020 as the country entered the pandemic lockdown, he retreated to his home studio and emerged with an album of songs of faith and inspiration. ALONE WITH MY FAITH, released during the spring of 2021 displays the sheer breadth of Connick’s talents as he wrote new songs, arranged all songs, played every instrument, and sang every voice.
Connick has appeared in 20 feature films with actors such as Sandra Bullock, Hilary Swank, Renée Zellweger, Sigourney Weaver, and Morgan Freeman. His work on television includes starring roles on Will and Grace, South Pacific and American Idol. He recently hosted the CBS Special UNITED WE SING: A GRAMMY® TRIBUTE TO THE UNSUNG HEROES, honoring essential workers in the pandemic. In 2016, he launched Harry, a national daytime television show, which earned 11 Daytime Emmy nominations, including nominations for best host, and a Critics’ Choice nomination for best talk show. On Broadway, Connick received Tony nominations as both a lead actor in The Pajama Game and as a composer/lyricist for Thou Shalt Not.
Despite his busy career, Connick has always found the time to be charitable and has done some of his most important work in his efforts to help New Orleans after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. He, along with friend Branford Marsalis, conceived of “Musicians’ Village,” and its centerpiece the Ellis Marsalis Center. Musicians’ Village provides homes for Katrina-displaced musicians while the Center uses music as its focal point of a holistic strategy to deliver a broad range of services to underserved children, youth and musicians from neighborhoods battling poverty and social injustice.
Connick’s honors, including a star on the celebrated Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the 2019 class of Honorees, induction into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame, Honorary Doctorates from Tulane and Loyola Universities and the Jefferson Award for Public Service, have not led Harry Connick, Jr. to slow his creative pace; they only confirm his determination to apply his talents in ways that prove inspirational to other artists and publicly spirited citizens.

Harry Connick Jr is just an incredible performer! It is obvious that he loves what he does, as well as truly appreciates his fans. His whole band was just awesome. What an amazing show...would recommend to everyone!
I have been to many concerts in my life and I have to say that this was one of the best - Harry acknowledged his audience constantly; his show started right on time - a great show of respect in my opinion (and an example some of the artists who show up 2 or 3 hours late should look to); all of the musicians were very talented and were spotlighted throughout the show, and then there was Harry - GREAT sense of humour, engaging and amazingly talented. He is the real deal!
Fantastic concert. 2 solid hours of music with such a wide range of styles and songs, lots of heart and lots of fun.
Loved him. I came expecting to want to hear what I know - which was When Harry Met Sally sort of stuff - but was truly delighted when he went full on into the New Orleans style jazz he clearly loved - and then so did I. His abiltiy to play such a range of intruments was exciting and his passion was so obvious. He was funny and authentic with the crowd - I loved it and fell in love with hi all over - but in an even better way. He is such a talent.
The entire band and Harry were amazing. One could feel the music just flowing through them. It was a great experience and a phenomenal live show. The energy they all put out was just tops.
I was happy that his Dad performed with him for 2 songs. I liked the electric guitar player too. He is a good dancer and piano player.
Started on time and gave his best for almost 2 hours. It was singing, dancing, guest stars and plain good entertainment
The Sunday night concert at the QE with Harry was fabulous! As usual, Harry and his band were outstanding. What a treat to have Harry Sr. sing, Bye Bye Birdie. We had a fabulous evening.
A very entertaining evening from an excellent performer. Loved the inclusion of others, especially his father & individual performance by band members. The entertainers all looked to be having fun and enjoying being on stage!
Harry is super talented, funny, gorgeous and comes with amazing big band entertainment. I passed up the chance to see him in Edmonton around 1998. I've been kicking myself ever since. Took 15 years for the stars to align again, we had fabulous centre floor seats . . .loved this concert! 10/10
Worth every penny I paid for the most expensive seats. A great performer and a fabulous entertainer.
Harry was engaging and very entertaining. Nice surprise with his dad singing with him. Highly recommended
This was the 3rd time we've seen Harry at the Queen E. Best Seats we've ever had. Wished I'd paid more for the seats ahead of us, as I believe there was a meet & greet offer with them. We were in the 4th row, LC. Perfect view of the bass drum/snare drum underneath the grand piano and watching Harry play all 3 at the same time was mind-blowing. His charm, wit, and guy next door qualities coupled with his natural musical and vocal talents never fail to disappoint. He speaks of his family often, and each time I see him, I feel like it's visiting an old friend and catching up. Can't wait to see him again and catch up on his girls, his father in law, ideas about life in general - in between all the fantastic music. It was a blend of the first we'd heard from him, "It Had to Be You" peppered with New Orleans jazz sounds that are in his blood, along with some very new tunes from his latest album which are songs he wrote himself. I'm getting the CD!!! I want to hear them again! Harry Connick Jr is such a well-rounded performer. His musical skills are complemented nicely by his acting abilities - love him in everything I've seen on screen - and his genuine, funny, likeable nature - his take on life, keep it simple and be loving. He was extraordinarily complimentary to our city Vancouver - saying he bows to us for allowing him to take up some of our valuable time to come and listen to him. His comments moved me deeply! Thanks Harry - for a great show - 2 hours went by FAR too fast AGAIN! See you next time ~
He started ON TIME! Was very respectful of the audience! Great show.
A WONDER SHOW...2 HOURS PLUS OF GREAT NON-STOP ENTERTAINMENT.
How do you beat listening to a voice like Harry's let alone his first rate musical talent on a variety of instruments, his creativity and his talent to entertain? PLUS the best of musicians in his band - as a group and as solo artists! Two hours non stop of amazing value
I went with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed it thouroughly. Harry was everything that you think he is. He engaged the public at all times throughout the concert. Had some great stories to share. Loved that he brought his dad to sing with him. The band was amazing and he made sure all the musicians were featured. He is funny, charming and awfully cute! Loved the song choices, a little bit of everything and a lot of New Orleans.
He was amazing. An excellent entertainer and performer. This was the third time I have seen him live and I will definitely go again. An amazing talent!
We flew in from Halifax for a most enjoyable evening. The time flew by leaving us wanting more. We would attend another of his concerts in a heartbeat!
