    Hawksley at his best

by LunaStar on 2016-12-08West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

With keyboards, strings, and his personal, hilarious brand of story telling, Hawksley (and Todd) created a magical, intimate Christmas concert. Hawksley loves Winnipeggers and Winnipeggers loved him right back. It was a great show.

Best Show I've ever been too!

by Stephd8 on 2012-12-17Trinity-St. Paul's United Church and Centre - Toronto

I've seen Hawksley Workman 5 times and go to tons and tons of shows. This show was probably by far one of the best ones I have EVER seen. The sound at St.Pauls Trinity church was better then any venue I've ever been too and the leg room, Oh the leg room was amazing having a church pew to yourself and a few friends at a show is amazing. Not worrying about cramped legs or having no room; and to watch and hear the most talented artist perform in such a beautiful space is truly an experience that cannot be described in words. I would never miss a Hawksley show because every one is truly one of a kind and who wants to miss one of his hilarious stories about writing music and his inspirations you can see his soul through his performance. I will definitely be looking for shows at St.Pauls Trinity church because the sound and the ambiance of the venue is breathtaking.

    Hawksley never disappoints!

by DnC27 on 2012-12-14Trinity-St. Paul's United Church and Centre - Toronto

One thing is always promised at a Hawksley Workman show.... intimacy. The smaller venues make his performance that much more personal and entertaining. He entrances you with his story telling, before breaking into a song. All the while, fighting the urge to keep chatting with the crowd, while singing. Whether you are there for his music, his comedic story telling, or all of the above; Hawksley is a show never to miss.

    Hawksley Rocks the Studio

by Hawksleyfan on 2012-12-03Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

A great show. He peformed a good mix of new and old songs. Including many fan favourites, Your Beauty Must be Rubbing Off and Smoke. I had terrific seats, but the Studio is a great venue for a few hundred fans to enjoy a good show.

    Early show

by yipes on 2012-11-13RIO Theatre on BROADWAY - Vancouver

When they said the show started at 7:30, we thought they meant the 'guests' would go on at 7:30. The guests actually joined Hawksley on stage, and weren't separate acts like we thought. We ended up missing most of the first half. A bit disappointing, but what we did get to see was great.

    Hawksley rocked!!

by zorgette on 2012-11-09RIO Theatre on BROADWAY - Vancouver

Just him and a keyboardist, no opening act. He is so talented, down to earth and has a natural rapport with the audience. His vocal range is amazing. Can't wait to see him again!!! Rio Theatre is a great venue too - really comfy seats!

Hawksley is such a talented (and funny) guy!

by enDearing on 2012-11-09RIO Theatre on BROADWAY - Vancouver

The Rio Theatre was a great venue. Very intimate. Just Hawksley and his pianist (who was very very very good!). Hawksley is the kind of artist who sing his old songs again and again, but yet will find a new way to make them different and interesting each time. He's such a talented musician who can play numerous instruments. His vocal range is unbelievable. And he's just so darn expressive and charming! I love the back stories he tell - so funny!! Loved it and would see him again and again.

    Spectacular!

by Phelan on 2012-11-09RIO Theatre on BROADWAY - Vancouver

Amazing show by a true artist! The Value was outstanding, I was skeptical at first for the show being at a movie theater, but it was actually a good venue. Would Recommended anyone to see Hawksley anytime for them to fall in love with his music.

Solid show all the way through

by scubasteveslady on 2012-11-09RIO Theatre on BROADWAY - Vancouver

His voice was amazing! It was a really low-key and relaxed show. He was funny and charming in between songs. One of the best shows I've seen. Would highly recommend him, even if you're not familiar with his music.

    Hawksley Workman

by truckchick on 2011-04-11West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

Hawksley is always amazing. I have heard him alone, with Mr. Lonely quite a few times , with his big band and this unplugged (sort of) concert was the most intimate, most moving and favourite one of all. I missed Mr. Lonely, of course , and realized , more than ever, what a fabulous partnership they have. The crowd sang along, provided the chorus on many songs, filled in the Mr. Lonely bits- clearly a well educated and devoted bunch of fans. And Hawskley, with his stories, his perfect pitch, incredible range, songwriting ability, musicianship and raw emotion, just showed us all a great time. It sounded like five musicians up on the stage, not just him. It felt like we were in his kitchen, jamming I'll see him every chance I get, in any venue, with or without other musicians. he's Canada's greatest treasure.

    Hawksley Workman amazes again

by Jaimie on 2011-04-11West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

This is my 4th Hawksley Workman concert & every time I go, i am amazed. He is the best performer I've ever seen and I will continue to see him every single time he comes. His stories are hilarious, I love that he not only comes out to perform his beautiful music, but also to talk - it's always a great show.
