I can't stress how awesome this show was. Way better than their earlier Sound Academy show in 2011. Even the opener Spitfist was awesome too

The Headstones rocked my New Year's Eve, great to see them back! Would love to see them in a better sound venue next time, but had a great time regardless.

Had an absolute blast celebrating New Year's Eve at the Shaw Conference Centre with the Headstones. Unreal show. Great set-up with no long line-ups for beer or food. Will definitely consider going again depending on the band :)

We were given the wrong info about will call tickets, the opening acts were rather disorganized as we didn't know who was on or when with a lot of time between acts. The VIP pics were fast and furious with basically ZERO interaction with the band and it is now almost 5 PM on Monday the 2nd of January and TRIXSTAR still has not posted our VIP pics.

I enjoyed the music. The opening band Tupelo Honey was good too. I was excited to see the Headstones, but I was not impressed with the pushy, ignorant people that were trying to push their way up through us to get themselves closer. It made it suck for us that we got pushed around and ended up leaving the floor to stand off on the side. It would have been nice to have some seating on the sides (or bleachers) to be able to watch the show and still enjoy! The bands themselves though were great and full of energy!

No faulting the effort of Hugh and the band. Great interaction with the crowd. Overall enjoyment of the experience reduced by poor sound. Would be nice to actually hear the lyrics... not just noise.

  • A steller preformance like usually

    by cloudydon69 on 2012-01-01Century Casino Calgary - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I will give Hugh and Trent credited for even taking the time to sign autographs and take photos for there fans after the gig. Great job guys. A lot of people know Dale and Tim but they didn't greet there fans after the gig. Not very cool. However, overall the band made the weekend and started 2012 off with a bang. Hope they play again next year.

  • fantastic reunion!

by RantNRoll on 2012-01-01Century Casino Calgary - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Band sounds and looks better than ever. They easily could have played another hour or two and probably should have. 90 minutes just wasnt enough! Can't wait to see them again soon.

  • Good of Rock and Roll.

    by mark12 on 2012-01-01Century Casino Calgary - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Show was fantastic. Headstones got the crowd wound up from the beginning and held them that way the entire show. Great energy. I feel very fortunate to have caught this show.

  • They Stoned Me

by mikw on 2011-12-31Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Caught both Headstone nights at the Commodore. The boys did not disappoint. Played all the hits and if you saw both shows then you got most of what you needed to hear live. The band was tight and the vocals solid. Stage present outstanding - with loads of bravado and angst. The crowd rocked hard as a stone - bring back the headstone hockey jersey.

  • Epic

by Skaloop on 2011-12-30Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I saw them both nights they played in Vancouver. Quite possibly the two best shows I have ever been to. Hugh rocked it, and even the sub-par opening bands can't diminish the awesome.

  • headstones rocks!!!!!

you know your in for a great show when they open with their best song.

  • Decent Show - Good Times

by Eulogy on 2011-12-25Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The headstones put on an excellent show - rocking with plenty of audience engagement. Always splurge to get VIP seating at the Sound Academy - the venue is long and narrow. The downfall would be the opening band - Spit fist, if you have the choice, skip this band.

    Great show. ..........................................................................

  • AWESOME!!!

by HazmatHauler on 2011-12-25Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show!! Great band!!! Great venue!!!! From the opening song of Tweeter and the Monkey Man. To the closing Cemetery it was a none stop thrill ride. Hugh Dillion has a commanding stage presence and knows how to please his audience. NO DOUBT!!!!

OMG! I MUST see them again in 2012!! I haven't seen them since '94, and the Guelph show reminded me what a great live band they are! One of my wishes for 2012...thanks guys!!
