  • Headstones and Spitfist - incredible combination

by emLe on 2011-12-20Guelph Concert Theatre - GuelphRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue to watch a show, we were able to get up close to the stage by the end of the opening act. Went with family who aren't big fans and hadn't seen the band before - they left wanting to see another show and observing that the Headstones live are way better than their albums reflect. Spitfist set a great tone, much better suited to the Headstones than the two opening acts from February's shows. Hugh's mic crapped out a couple of times (he exacerbated it by hurling it to the ground each time it konked out) but he continued with Trent's, and then Tim's, mic while the crowd filled in the lyrics. A few other audio glitches but with the crowd at a Headstones' show, it hardly mattered. Shorter than the other shows with 2 or 3 fewer songs on the setlist, but as always, the band put on a great show.

  • Headstones are better than ever!!

Saturday night at The Rapids Theatre was awesome. The Headstones put on one of their best shows ever. They've been apart for several years but have come back better and stronger than ever. Hugh Dillon looks awesome! The best he's ever looked. His interaction with the crowd is fun and made the show that more enjoyable. The boys all look great and they told me they will be back around in the summer. Can't wait. Love you guys!!

The Headstones bring so much energy to their shows that you can't help but get wrapped into them. Hugh is an amazing frontman, Tim is an awesome bass player, Dale's got beats and Trent...Well Trent is brilliant! Glad to see the boys back together, can't wait for the new album:)

  • BACK!

Headstones were amazing! I loved seeing them in this small, intimate venue. The sound was great, the people were great, the band was killer! The beer.....not so much, lol.

THE BAND WAS AWESOME AS ALWAY'S. BUT the venue sucked big time. Over sold with absolutly no room to go past the exit. So we stood in the door way with an over head light shining down in our eyes, as the only other option was to stand in the washroom.

  • They still got it

by KJMR on 2011-12-19Guelph Concert Theatre - GuelphRating: 4 out of 5

The opening band, Spitfist, was pretty bad. If I knew there was an opening band I would not have come until later. It was a long wait between the opening band and the Headstones but well worth the wait. Hugh Dillon and the boys have still got it! They put on a great show, very entertaining.

  • Headstones Guelph!

by DMacdonald on 2011-12-18Guelph Concert Theatre - GuelphRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert. They havent lost a step and sounded fantastic. Even when the mic broke Hugh knew how to handle it. Throw it to the ground and let the audience sing! Worth the wait and cant wait for next album.

  • Late but rocked!

by Anonymous on 2011-12-18Guelph Concert Theatre - Guelph, ONRating: 4 out of 5

The opening band came on at around 9:15 amd ended 30 minutes later. I think they announced their name once in the middle of their set but I still have no clue who they were. Although they had a good sound it was very difficult to understand the lyrics through the singer's possibly drunken (from the beer she had onstage) screaming. Around 11:30, after a very long, uncomfortable, on the verge of completely impatient wait Headstones finally came on. They did have a couple of mircophone complications but COMPLETELY ROCKED. I very much enjoyed the performance and will definately see them again!

What a ROCKIN' night it was at the Cowboy Ranch...An opening band that showed no mercy and a headliner that blew the roof off the Ranch. Although I have never heard of Spitfist before this event, I am now a fan along with MANY others from the show. This all-girl band goes all out!! Even though it took a while for the Headstones to start, they ROCKED as soon as they hit the stage. THANK YOU HEADSTONES for reuniting and giving your fans (young and old) the opportunity to see you perfom again...KEEP ON ROCKIN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Headstones @ Cowboys Ranch

by Toadgirl on 2011-12-10London Concert Theatre at Cowboys Ranch - LondonRating: 1 out of 5

Concert was supposed to start at 9:00. A, horrible unadvertised, opening band came on shortly after 9:00. Headstones didn't get on stage until around 11:15. Band was great, but the sound sucked. Bad mix and feedback. Had to leave at midnight due to parking bylaw of cars parked on the street between midnight and 3:00am are either tagged or towed. I really love this band, it's too bad the evening was a bit of a washout. Overall, not crazy about Cowboys Ranch as a venue.

  • Love'em

by MaliceUnarmed on 2011-12-10London Concert Theatre at Cowboys Ranch - LondonRating: 4 out of 5

Headstones were awesome as usual, only complaint is that the opening band came on around 9:30, finished at 10 then the Headstones didn't come on till 11:30 which is a crazy wait between bands specially when you have a messed up spine and nowhere to sit.

  • Headstones - bring a book to read

Opening act was Spitfist, and they were horrible, but then again.. I went for the HEADSTONES!! They kicked ass and rocked the house.

  • Headstones...first time..totally awesome!

by LSquared on 2011-02-15Sound Academy is not my favourite venue...stage is too low and with only a single exit for the venue and parking lot it sucks to get in and out of... - Toronto...best city in the world!Rating: 4 out of 5

Headstones were aweseome...sound was great! This is the first time I have seen them live but have listened to their music for many years...great show!
