About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

  • Heart 39 Years On

by Paul on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Saw them 39 years ago in thier prime with...wait for it... John Couger backing them up. My expectation this time around was tamed, but wow they were excellent still!! They chose to perform a number of cover tunes from other artists that were difficult to perform live requiring tremendous skill. Very pleasing for the seasoned concert-goer. Led Zed's Battle of Evermore and some misic from early Yes, of course there larger than life hits and some early surprises made the evening just as remarkable as the first time. Thank you again Heart!!!!

  • Fantastic music ladies!!

Well done!! Great line up of music!! Weather was perfect! Couldn’t ask for more perfect day/night of music 🎵

  • Awesome

    by J. on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time at this event! My first time at the Budweiser stage. Beautiful night and great music. The only thing that could have made it better would be cheaper drinks ($13 for a cider??) and washrooms that were working. But everything else was fantastic.

  • Heart was disappointing! Sheryl Crow Fantastic

by Kim on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Heart was great when they played their own hits but for some reason played other bands hits as well for at least half the show. They should’ve stuck to their own hits. Sh

  • Underwhelmed

by Matt on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Had been looking forward to this show for months since we bought tickets. Elle King and Sheryl Crow were terrific openers but really came to see Heart play their hits. Anyone going to see a band touring knows they will hear the occasional “new song” which comes with the territory. We were thoroughly disappointed that the majority of the set was covers (wait, what!?), lame rearrangements of great songs, and some very obscure songs, like Dog & Butterfly. At one point we broke out in laughter because we thought it was all a joke. Ultimately, these are artists and they can do what they want, but a large contingent of the crowd left midway through their set, obviously let down as we were. Spoke to some fans in the parking lot that felt “disrespected” by the show and having to pay so much to see covers. Not sure I’ll go see Heart again as a result. I’ll just keep their opening set for Def Leppard years ago in my mind and wipe this most recent one out.

  • I would go again!

by Hayley on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I love Heart and I love their songs which spread over 4 plus decades, which is why I was so suprised at the number of cover songs they did. Don't get me wrong, the concert was good and Ann's voice is as amazing as ever!!! But I would have loved to hear more Heart songs instead of all the covers. We got their a little late so unfortunately we missed Elle King. Sheryl Crow was really good!

  • Good Canadian Girls

After being pioneers in music for so many Canadian women it was awesome to watch the Wilson sisters still rocking out.

  • Too many covers

by Chucker on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Elle King and Sheryl Crow were great. If I wanted to go see someone sing 7 cover songs I'd go to a bar or club. Is Heart's catalogue that slim that they have to resort to 7 cover songs. Instead of the highlight being a great Heart song it was the guitar solos during Comfortably Numb. Guess I shouldn't complain about covers!

  • Great Show

by Adam on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Never heard of Elle King and the Brethren but they were good. They had some sound issues. Sheryl Crow was amazing even though my sister was not impressed with her two guitar players who didn't move around. One of them looked like he was bored. Sheryl finished her set with "If It Makes You Happy " which had the crowd standing up and singing the chorus. Heart were magnificent with going through their whole musical history and doing a Yes song, Comfortably Numb and Led Zeppelin's Battle Of Evermore. Venue wise I know they have to be very security conscious. The seats are too small and a little uncomfortable. This is one of the only bad parts of the experience.

  • Where was the Heart?

by Brandi Fan on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Heart has been one of my favourite bands since the beginning of their career, and I have seen them many times over the years. They have an impressive catalogue of songs with two great, talented leading ladies. Concert at the Budweiser Stage last Sunday was underwhelming. Although I loved that they went "deep" into their back catalogue and played songs that they haven't played live in years, I was very disappointed in the number of covers that they performed. I don't go to a Heart show to hear Paul Simon and Pink Floyd songs. Not sure what was going on with those decisions, but they were not the cohesive unit that they have been in the past as a result. And for sheer energy and enjoyment, opener Sheryl Crow blew them off the stage!!

  • Heart delivered

by Okay on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

That was an awesome concert. All of the women were excellent and now I can happily check Heart off my bucket list!!

  • Heart Hasn't Lost a Thing!

by ChiefRob on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Ann and Nancy Wilson still have it! Their voices are like they are frozen in time! Absolutely fantastic! Then having Sheryl Crow and Elle King open was great! Beautiful venue and great performance by all 3!

  • My heart is full!

by Carrie on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Heart sounded amazing! These ladies have voices that send chills down you. They rocked! The band was great. They may have played too many cover songs for their talent level. I wanted to hear more original songs even if new. They should have brought Cheryl Crow out to do a song together! Cheryl Crow was just as good and she didn’t come out for an encore and I wish she did but she still played a great set list!

  • Absolutely awesome!

by Dawneo on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

First time I saw Heart was in 1977, my first concert at the young age of 16. 40 years later they were just as good and rocked the stage like no other. The Wilson sisters are the very best!!!

  • Transportation was a disaster

    by A. A. on 2019-07-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

City of Toronto allowed concert and Indy on the same day so Lakeshore closed. Transportation to and from the event was a two hour ordeal each way for a normally 45 minute ride. Concert was good.

  • Great Memories & Great Music SATISFIED!!!!!

by mushkiki on 2016-05-24Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - HinckleyRating: 5 out of 5

I have listened to Heart since their conception and I was not disappointed. I am just grateful I had the opportunity to at least see them once live in concert. I am a memory junkie so I go to hear the songs from the 70's and 80's. I enjoyed how they remixed some of the songs such as Alone and played an acoustic version. I think they chose a great opening band Joan Jett as that was a solid choice to bump the show up to another level as well. Now the Band was on their game. The venue was disappointing on several scales. Lack of washrooms, poor access to food and drink unless you were a diamond or platinum member ( which I am thankfully) Security repeatedly let people walk through front row without checking tickets. Many intoxicated or taking pictures.

  • Just OK

by stevanage on 2016-04-10Sony Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Sony Centre accoustics just not good...muffled sound on first three songs was corrected somewhat by the fourth song....Heart's speaker system seemed to overpower Sony Centre...Joan Jett's smaller speakers were a much better fit...Jett's energy and band were clearly the highlight of the night...maybe Heart had a bad night

  • Fabulous!

Joan Jett and Heart were both fabulous! First time seeing Joan Jett, she puts on a great show. Second time seeing Heart, and they were just fabulous!

Enjoyed the concert. Have seen Heart about 6 times and have never been disappointed with any show. First time seeing Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and they were great.

  • Heart, Joan Jett

by ConcertsForLife on 2016-03-28Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

First two concerts of 2016 for me were both very good. On March 15th Bonnie Raitt was at Sony Center and gave a great performance despite being a bit "under the weather". Finally got to see this legendary performer in person. On March 20th a great double-bill with "Heart" and "Joan Jett & The Blackhearts". I guess Heart was the "headliner", but Joan and her band play second fiddle to no-one! Heart's performance was very good but with a very large back-catalogue of original songs they chose to finish their set with 3 Led Zeppelin songs. They really did a great job on the Zep stuff (Ann Wilson's vocals were incredible), but I was hoping to hear more Heart originals. In my opinion, Joan Jett (and her band) were the highlight of the night. Judging from the crowd's reaction I think most of them felt the same. From start to finish Joan and her band kept the pedal to the metal and gave it 100%. Loved Joan's selection of songs as well. Really loved hearing some "Runaways" songs. The audience (I'm guessing 70% -75% female) was really into the show as well...especially "Joan Jett & Blackhearts"
