Both days were AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rob zombie as the finale, superb, only negative thing about the weekend, not nearly long enough, next festival should be a week if not more!!!!!

I think must be more Metalcore, we need more young people!!!

VERY HOT DAY! venue should have set all WATER prices to one set price. The hotter it got several booths jacked up the price. BS!! Other than the water stupidity. The event held numerous FREE signings which was pretty cool, where do you get that without knowing people!! Devildriver,Anthrax, Motorhead and Megadeth put on the best acts.

The entire weekend was just amazing!!! The music and the bands just great! Zombie stole the show! The next time I would like to see the VIP section in the middle not off to the side. I would also like to see a better selection of beer for sale. With so many great local breweries something better than Bud should have been offered.

I really enjoyed this festival because none of the bands overlapped and so you got to see exactly what you wanted. The arena wasn't too big and so it was easy to get around. The bands chosen for the event were brilliant. I was also very impressed with how clean it was and how well the toilets were maintained. My only suggestion would be that for next time just offer alcohol rub hand sanitizer because it saves you putting soap in your hands and then realising the water has run out. I really enjoy the fact that this festival was purely about the music. I find that the English festivals i normally attend have become massive well oiled money making machines that even want to make a profit out of telling you when the bands you paid to see are actually on. This festival was very user friendly.

Motor head rules!! Anthrax was awesome!! Megadeath was great too.

Awesome day of Metal. Lots of energy even though the heat was intense on the 23rd. I only went on the July 23rd date which was very good, wasn't really interested in the bands playing on the 24th. I was happy with how the bands performed. Endast kicked off the show great! Devildriver got the crowd moving as expected, I wish they were given more stage time. The rest of the day was wicked however i think a tent of some shade would have been good since the heat took the life out of the crowd when it got to about mid-day, maybe even a mist station would have helped. Also the position of the stages made it a bit awkward to go back and forth between bands, more room would have been better i think for the pits. Overall was really happy with the show, however i would like to see a more metal oriented line-up next time if there is one.

Very well put together and you can't really beat the line-up. My only issues were the price of food and beer. I expect to be gouged but that was ridiculous. Water filling stations would have been nice as well. All that aside, I hope they put this event on for years to come!

Great to finally see a heavy metal festival in Toronto! Would love to see it happen again next year. Pretty good lineup - could have used more European metal bands though. Awesome things: - entrance and security - free water given out by red cross later in the day - jagermeister tent, schecter demo guitars, rocksmith game demo - dual stages to allow nonstop music - decent parking, close to the venue, quick exit time Things that could have been improved: - could have used more food stands - bass volumes were too loud, overpowered the guitars and vocals - set times were odd, the show ended 30 minutes early, should have let Opeth play longer!!! - less bands each day would help carry the momentum of the fans, everyone was too tired to rock out by the time the headliner came on

This Concert was alright for the first year but definately could us some improvements. I was at HeavyMTL2010 last year it was 10 times the concert. Their was more Bands, more things going on around the concert, water bottle refill stations , and shade to name a few. I had to leave Early on Sunday as one of my friends I was with got heat stroke mid afternoon and we ended up missing all the headliners their was no place to find shade that wasn't being used even under the ATM machine tent. We did find shade behind the Jager tent but got kicked out by security. If this Concert would take notes from Heavy MTL it would be a 5 Star concert but it was know where near the experience Next Year I'll likely drive the extra 6 Hours to go to HeavyMTL unless things change.

This event was amazing great time both days but the only thing that sucked was Billy Talent like come on that was bogus

Unbelievable.Had a great time.I brought my 15 yr old son who knows both the older and newer bands.I knew about half of them..loved them all,except the girl band.Yes even poor Billy Talent which Im sure you are well aware of.No complaints at all.One tip ,maybe the event could be better advertised,a lot of my friends had no idea and i bet 25 or more wouldve come had they known sooner.I found out about it purely by accident.

This was a fantastic show for anyone who enjoys a good dose of metal. Bodom and Opeth were my favourites to see at this show. Generally speaking events at Downsview are great and this was no different. Only thing I disliked what the fact that Budweiser was the only beer available. Really? It tastes awful.

If you're a metalhead like yours truly you knew where you had to be on that weekend.

It was way too hot to be outside and then it sucked when it rained. But nothing could beat the pure brilliant performance from both Anthrax and Motorhead. None of the other bands came even close to being as good as they were. Megadeth were great too!

Had a great time at the show! Great lineup on the Saturday with Megadeth closing everything off. Security was friendly, facilities were good. Ran out of water and was unable to get more at all locations except the EMS booth. Sunday - everything was good, but Billy Talent? They really didn't belong and there was an exodus of people as soon as Slayer was done. I'd say 1/3 of the crowd just simply left the venue.
