    Flipping Fantastic!

by Metallove on 2012-08-14Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

Can't beat a good metal show in the mud and the rain! The atmosphere there was great, the music was splendid, and the beer was cold!

Music was good, lots of mud on this rainy day. Would have been better with Lamb of God in attendance.

    Awesome show

by millertimeon on 2012-08-13Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

There was a lot of crap to sift through, but Gojira was awesome and Trivium, In Flames, Marilyn Manson, and Slipknot were as amazing as ever! Best shows of the night were by far In Flames, and Slipknot. Overall great times had by all!

Amazing show! Loved everything about it. Lots of people didn't like Billy Talent, and they are not for me, but they handled the show very well, and explained how they don't consider themselves metal, which i thought was very good. Lots of awesome bands, great memories made in moshpits, spectacular show. Mastodon and Rob Zombie were insane!

toronto just got a whole lot heavier!! \m/

by metalpetalzx on 2011-07-30Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

amazing lineup ov bands! many great people in audience!! lots ov fun times in moshpits!!! HATED BILLY TALENT'S appearance there, felt that their presence was an insult to METAL, and they didn't deserve to be there one bit. nearly ruined the show for me, but luckily there was another band after those losers! overall HEAVY TO was a BLAST!! couldve been a whole lot better without billy talent for sure! ...liked the fact that kerry king was at the singing table, just too bad the line was cut off right in front ov me!! still got gary holt's autograph at the least..

The concert was off the hook and it was the 2 best days of my life, and my dislikes is people smoking weed everywhere and blowing it into your faces, and yea is there going to be a Heavy T.O. 2012 ?

Children of Bodom was great. Anthrax was a raging barrel of napalm hit with a shaped charge. Opeth's stage banter was HILARIOUS. Motorhead played Rock 'N Roll. (Just ask Lemmy) Megadeth was good... But they should have let Anthrax close the night out.

    Hot and Heavy TO

by Misstee on 2011-07-28Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

The Sunday show was great. The sound was loud and sharp. Was disappointed that Volbeat didn't play Hallejulah Goat and that Mastodan didn't play Oblivion. DeathAngel was awesome. Not sure why Billy Talent was part of this line up, they are not metal.

Pretty good, but could have been a bit better....

by Soth897 on 2011-07-28Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

It was a pretty solid concert, although not as good as Heavy MTL has been in the past. The lineup was half the size, but the ticket price was the same. Smaller venue, which felt a little bit too cramped for my liking, and one of the bands didn't make it across the border, which was disappointing both in that people missed out on the performance, and that there was no sort of reimbursement in the slightest, even though you paid for it in the ticket price. "Oops, guess we couldn't deliver this performance, but we won't give you your money back". Good concert overall, just not as good as Heavy MTL.

Great shows, great bands. This was awesome ! I come from France and I can tell you something : the Heavy TO was perhaps smaller than major European festivals but still it kicks ass the same way !!! and with some bands you would not see there ! So far, so good, so what ?
