Just loved those 3 little boys, with the big voices. Charming young men that add a freshness to serious Tenor Italian music. Loved every song, and completely enjoyed their youth and difficulty with their playful manor with the english language. Lovely experience and I sincerely hope they go on to even more wonderful heights than the 3 Big Tenors every did. My husband only came with me to be a good sport. He was thrilled and completely charmed by these young men.
Thevthree young Italians gave a fabulous and memorable performance filled with soaring songs. Some of the songs reminded me of the music I heard as a child in my parents home. Their rendition of Mondo was as good as that of Il Divo or of Andrea Bocelli. My favorites were mamma and O Sole Mio. I could have listened for hours and hours.
Best tenors we have heard, at any age! Dont' know how they found each other but the harmony could not be better. The staging was simple, used good video; but our only gripe was their frequently turning spotlights in our eyes. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole performance.
What an truly amazing concert. These guys have beautiful voices and plenty of charm!!! It was wonderful to see such young people perform at the caliber that they did. When they come back I will definitely be there for more!!!
Great concert. These young talented men put on a great performance. The voices are strong for such a young age. Hope to see them progress to even great heights with age. They have appeal for different ages. Nice to see a lot of older couples in the crowd. The 2 hours was constant singing with a 10 min break. Standing ovation at the end. All I can say is great performance iL volo keep up the great work. Cannot wait to see them in later years.
From the first note to the last, this young trio was absolutely superb ! The additional surprise of hearing each one sing individually was a delightful bonus to the concert...what a treat ! Gianluca's rendition of "Maria" actually moved me to tears, bravo young man ! I especially enjoyed watching the obvious commeraderie that they have amongst them, it was so nice to see that other than being GREAT singers, they are also friends. The only change that should be taken with serious consideration is the "light show." It was very distracting, unnecessary and too often blinding. I'd rather be able to enjoy close-ups of them and see their facial expressions in interpretation of the beautiful music they created. Thanks for a fabulous evening. I can't wait to see them again !
The event was spectacular ...I will remember this venue forever. I did visit Italy last year hoping to see Il Volo while I was there however they were here in Toronto .....Such a coincidence. The singing from these young men was so heartfelt. I just wish my Mum was alive to share this she would have been overwhelmed. As was I. Thank-You for the opportunity to experience this event in my life. I will consider seeing them again with Barbara Streisand ....however the cost maybe too great. Grazie ....L
The night was truly fantastic...all 3 of the singers were fantastic and very polished. Their stage presence and delivery was spot on for the songs they sang. I was hoping the evening would never end. And they are all good looking which does not hurt!
I found this group about a year ago doing a search on the internet for a the song "O Sole Mio" and stumbled across these young guys. After playing the video I was in awe of their powerful voices and was an instant fan. Needless to say that when I found out they were coming to Toronto, I bought a ticket right away and this past Sunday went to the show. It was lovely and I was not disappointed. The three guys genuinely seem to enjoy one another and the camaraderie was there. I enjoyed the entire performance and the arrangement of songs actually built from almost understated pieces to gradually increasing up to getting to their full potential. I also liked that each of them had two turns at doing a solo song as each one's voice is unique but ones that still works well together. My only negative comment and this is more of a concern. I think that they may have been so busy performing the past couple of years that there seemed to be some hint of exhaustion in their voices. I do hope that their caregivers do exactly that...give care because I would not want them to burn out as I look forward to seeing them any time that they come back to this city!
It was an amazing performance by such young age tenors. It is refreshing to see famous songs interpreted so profesionally by young teens. Powerful voices and quality.
These three singers were absolulety amazing, I could listen to their music all day every day.
Enjoyed and of the concert immensely. All the young men are very talented and what great voices! I also enjoyed the addition of the very talented young lady.
Love the singers but over amplified... overwhelmed their melodious voices and really spoiled quite a few of their songs... had to plug my ears a lot!!! ( not comparable to their Detroit PBS event)
This was an unforgettable event that should be seen by every young person interested in pursuing a career in singing. The gift of voice for three beautiful young men is all I can say!
these guys are the best! see them now, in 5 years we'll not afford to see them. as the blossoming rose opens, and comes into it's most beauty,...thats where these three tenors are now. They're now at the zenith of their performance capability.. Seriously, the world has not seen a complication of such inrcedible talent in many years. Glad that we saw them. k
I already had expected an amazing concert and was just "blown away" with how wonderful an evening it was!! I already knew of the joy of hearing an artist or group in person but the joy of this night was unexpected. I had waited to order tickets because my husband doesn't like to go to such things and was "sick" of me playing the CD constantly in the car!!!! He complained about the price of the tickets, the distance to Meadowbrook and ended up LOVING the concert as much as I did. (Knew he would!). We loved the additional songs that Il Volo sung. I don't understand Italian too much but love the music. Hubby is Italian. I absolutely loved GianLuca singing "Maria". We had never been to Meadowbrook and the music, the nice evening and the surrounding insects singing along....well, it was just "magical"! Piero is my favorite and I loved his solo!! We were saying that it would be nice if they showed photos of where each young man is from when they sing their solos. Cannot wait for their next visit to our area. They are simply amazing with their powerful voices and their grasp of the words at their young ages!!
I can't even put into words the way their voices make me feel....I drove 7 hours by myself to hear them and it was worth every mile and every dollar spent on tickets and hotel room. They are an amazing talented group of young men and I hope they perform together for a very long time and I hope they come to Winnipeg, Manitoba soon so I can go see them again although I would drive to Minneapolis again in a heartbeat! To hear them in a nice old theatre like that is really great too vs a great big arena where it just isn't the same!
WOW!!!! What a concert! Such incredible voices for 3 such young men. I was so impressed when I saw them on American Idol and several other shows but to see them in person was just thrilling!! I hope more young people come to enjoy the classic love songs and true operatic voice talents. There isn't enough of the other genres of music today to listen to. Josh Grobin has also done alot for opera and pop. I recommend seeing these young gentlemen if you can. I will see them again!!!!
