A festival of music and wonder that exhilarates you to the rhythm of a major musical lineup, while making you experience hot air balloons in all its facets. Each year, it colors the sky with the largest number of balloons in the country. Added to this are a number of activities, a large ride area and an offering fit for foodies, all of which contribute to the unifying atmosphere of the festival.
Arriver tot dans la journee avec les enfants les installations etait parfaite mais rendubau show y'avait clairement un manque de toilet portable et de table a picnic. Sinon le show etait incroyable
Il est dommage que même si la température ne permet pas d’envolée, les montgolfières ne sont pas gonflées pour que les enfants puissent au moins les admirer. Et je sais que nous y étions le soir du show des Cowboys fringants, mais nous n’avons fait qu’attendre en ligne pour se stationner, pour l’entrée, pour aller aux toilettes, pour avoir une consommation, impossible d’attendre pour un repas tellement il y avait du monde…il y avait un grand manque de toilettes. La soirée fut belle grâce au spectacle, mais trop d’attente toute l’après-midi et soirée.
Un superbe spectacle qui a sauvé la soirée car le site n’était définitivement pas prêt pour accueillir autant de personnes alors que les organisateurs devaient être au courant du nombre de billets vendus. Attendre 1h45 pour avoir une poutine et plus de 1h pour simplement aller aux toilettes. Très désagréable d’avoir fait des lignes d’attente pour le stationnement, pour l’entrée et pour tout le reste.
Extrêmement déçu. Payer aussi cher pour de montgolfières non présentes à cause de la metéo, mais surtout aucun geste de la part de l'orga. Lieu dans l'esprit d'une fête foraine dédié aux enfants, chaque attraction tout aussi couteuse, de même pour la nourriture et les boissons. Et animaux dépressifs en cage.
Everything is perfect, we enjoyed a amazing day! But because of the problem of climat, we didn’t see the hot air balloon.
Malgré que les mongolfieres n'ont pas décollé à cause du vent, les spectacles de bleu jeans bleu et des trois accord etaient super!! Je les adorent et je suis ravie de les avoir vu👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I think this even is geared more towards children. We didn't really find much to do and it seemed somewhat overhyped. We didn't get to see any hot-air ballons (it was canceled because of the weather which is understandable), I just thought they would be present throughout the day. We attended on a Saturday. We were honestly bored so we left early and didn't stay for the night event. Was definitely expecting more.
La zone n'aide pas (piste d'aéroport...), mais le festival est triste. Une seule vrai scène (les deux autres étant des petites estrades), quelques jeux pour jeunes enfants (bac à sable et piscine gonflable), et une foire payante (10$ par tour de manège). Nous sommes venus pour les montgolfières... que nous n'avons pas vu, pour cause de pluie. Nous pensions que nous pourrions au moins les voir au sol, ou qu'on nous offrirait la chance de pouvoir les voir un autre jour mais non. Un peu décevant pour nous, mais cela peut plaire à des familles qui habitent proche et qui viennent un jour de beau temps.
Le spectacle était bien, malheureusement des orages électriques on du faire en sorte que le spectacle soit terminer plus tôt, Bebe Rexha a été sorti de scène sans même pouvoir dire un mot de fin… aucune proposition de dédommagement c’est fait alors que les envolées ont été tous annulées et le spectacle a fini plus tôt…
Saturday 2023 august 12. Suprisingly a lot of various type of Food Truck, plenty of outdoor activities with no additional fees, places under sun cover to rest and enjoy. Great professional filming team for the show to be present on the mega screens. A lot of details putted into the visual effect, great productions overall. Various kids and other stage for kids and plenty of attraction rides to enjoy with. The installations and the toilets are well kept. A lot of space to move and dance everywhere. The festival’s managers gave us upgrades tickets for front stage pass because we basically liked and tripped so much on Bebe Rexha concert !!!! Food and tickets are cheaper then majority of others festivals in the State. And you still get international popular artists. 4 stars are for three things : - The Very young staff (13y.o. - 15) don’t know what they are doing. So be logical and take initiatives to get the information you need to know (ex : Where and how to park on site). - The information stand workers don’t know everything or some general information on the festival and its commodities. - Good luck to find the actual parking entry. There is NO signs on the road to indicated the parking’s location. You got lost and get returned by the staff at the entry of the airport on the accurate way to get there. - The parking cost 15$ fees and taxes included, but you are been parked on a land, without asphalt. Basically, when it rain, good luck to get out of it. Even with a Benz SLK350 we almost got caught there. PLUS, there is only one exit to get out of it, so be prepared to wait an half an hour without moving in you car to get out. We’ll be back for sure. This was MUCH more pleasant that Quebec’s Music Festival (90 000 people on site) versus 35k people at Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu. Overhall, we truly enjoyed our experience there and we’ll come back for sure.

Went for the first time and it was really boring. Change the name for fair festival because it's what it is . So we'd know what to expect! That did not reach any of our expectations. Did not see any mongolfiere*. We saw a rehearsal of dangers and music artist. It's like going to a concert and see the rehearsal... it's the first time this happen to me and was ordinary. First and last time. Waste of gaz, time and everything.
The event itself is very nice! But the fact that it rained so much and there was not enough installation to make us enjoy it even with the rain made my experience very bad :( I usually love this festival but they should have more preparation in case of rain considering that there is no reimbursement.
Nous avons pris un ticket journalier mais le mauvais temps ne nous a pas permis de voir les montgolfières. Le concert a également dû être annulé à cause de l’orage. Je comprends que les billets soient non échangeables ou remboursable car on ne contrôle pas la météo, cependant, pour un billet aussi cher et plusieurs annulations, le minimum aurait été d’offrir le parking (15 dollars à rajouter..) ou des coupons. Tout était extrêmement cher et aucun geste commercial.
Malheureusement la pluie nous a empêché de voir les spectacles à l’affiche Et plusieurs coupons pour manèges pas utilisés Il manque des abris en cas de pluie Un resto où il est possible d être assis et à l’abris Des estrades pour les spectacles Et les manèges devraient être inclus ds à le prix
Lots of fun carnival rides and games for all ages! Many food options with lots of clean spaces to sit/eat/relax. Concert was great! Easily accessible from downtown Montreal. Well thought-out event with free shuttle, water re-fill fountains and many washroom stations. The hot-air balloon event itself at night was a memorable awe-inducing experience!
I’m very disappointed. I went to the festival on the first day. It was scheduled to open at 2:30 pm but actually it was open at about 3:10 pm. There weren’t many activities inside. Many activities were not included in the tickets. On that day the balloon didn’t fly because of the weather. There aren’t any compensation. I will never go again. Not recommend!
The balloon flights were cancelled due to wind which was very disappointing. They could have organized backup entertainment in these cases like maybe fireworks or something but they had nothing except some inflatable balloons. It was thus very disappointing. The music performances were ok but CeeLo Green was a joke. He just had a DJ playing covers for 99% of his show. The carnival was cool but many of the game runners were disinterested.
I've been going to the balloon fest for years and this was the worse prepared year for the venue ever. It was way oversold and vendors on site were not prepared. Getting access to drinkable water as almost an hour to wait, let alone food, beverages or alcohol. Super crowded and the stage was so far away from the crowd, much more than in the past that they needed additional screens in the field. Not what I've been used to and I hope they debrief and figure out the issues, especially on days were it's near 40c and you have an artist like Jason Derulo featuring!
Vraiment un super festival, de belles activités et de beaux spectacles, toutefois pleins d’aspects on été mal évalués : beaucoup trop gens par rapport au nombre de food trucks, 1 seule station d’eau ce n’est pas assez pour cette quantité de gens et cette chaleur (et manque de bouteilles d’eau aux food trucks), des files d’attente de 3h partout, trop de gens pour ampleur de la scène et du son, image des écrans avec délai sur le son qui dérange l’expérience des gens dans la section assise…
