About

Jack Johnson has released seven studio albums and two live albums that have sold over 25 million copies worldwide since 2001. His Brushfire Records label and touring crew have been leaders in the greening of the music industry and his All At Once social action network connects fans with local non-profits at each tour stop. Jack, with his wife Kim, founded the Kokua Hawaii Foundation to support environmental education in Hawaii's schools and communities, as well as the Johnson Ohana Foundation to support environmental, art and music education worldwide. Proceeds from these albums and tour profits, along with Johnson's personal charitable activities, have resulted in over $37 million donated to charity since 2001.

  • Jack Johnson was Amazing

by punkgurl on 2017-06-07Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Once again Jack Johnson put on an amazing show playing lots of older tunes which made everyone sing along. He messed up a few times which made him more real. Love to see him again.

  • Jack Johnson was a magical experience

We have a 6 year old autistic daughter that we adopted when she was 2. She cannot talk. When she first saw the Curious George movie and heard Jack Johnson's music, she started dancing. We purchased an ipad for her and loaded his music. She was able to find it on the Ipad at will, and played it constantly and would sway back and forth. I swore if he ever came to town we would take her - not knowing how she would react in a crowded venue. Our tickets we on the lawn. During the opening act and the delay between them and Jack, she was acting up and i thought we would have to leave....however, as soon as Jack started playing, she stood up, started dancing and didn't stop untill 10:30pm. Thanks Jack, it was a magical experience for my daughter, and i think everyone around us who watched her dance.

Jack and his band are so fun to watch. In addition to hearing my favourite songs live, I just love watching the camaraderie among the band members and the musical talent from the band. They played so many favourites and even asked the crowd what we wanted to hear.

  • WOW!!! This is what music and talent is all about.

by CJDFNS on 2014-11-11Deer Lake Park - Burnaby, BCRating: 5 out of 5

A truly spectacular performance. There was no over-the-top theatrics. There were no fancy stage setup or costume changes. There was only truly amazing talent. We did not want it to end. It was truly an incredible event that we would see again in a heartbeat. We managed to get close enough to the stage and the weather was not too bad. Great music, awesome crowd, and one outstanding performer made the entire show worth every cent we paid. And we did not pay that much for tickets. If you ever get the chance, don’t miss out. You won’t be disappointed.

Liked the venue, he sang alot of songs but could have been a little more personal with the audience. It was a good show and ALO was awesome!

  • Jimmy Buffet like with an environmental conscience

by klaw on 2014-08-24Deer Lake Park - BurnabyRating: 4 out of 5

The setting a Deer Lake was spectacular. The crowd seemed overflowing but luckily we were there early and had a good vantage point. As soon as he came on stage, the crowd stood up for the whole concert, a little difficult for us oldtimers but it was worth it. The opening act ALO was very good and the keyboardist/singer for the group performed the same function for Jack Johnson.

  • One of the best concerts! Unforgettable!

Truly an amazing show. We knew he would be wonderful but Jack Johnson blew us away. He is such a talented musician with songs and lyrics that move your soul. Great venue and concert. Wish it didn't have to end.

Jack Johnson concert was family-friendly, lots of food options available, lots of staff available to serve beer so no line ups, and concert outdoors in August can't be beat. Jack is as good live as he is in his recordings and his opening act was good too - ALO.

  • Get grass seats it's a sleeper!!

    by Purger35 on 2014-06-02Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Started off great as we entered the venue, food trucks and environmentally sensative kiosks set up everywhere...then the show started with the most amazing band I've seen live in a long time . Edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros blew the crowd away, they were so interactive with the crowd and sang songs that really mean something, with passion and love. They should have been the headliner!!! Being my third time to see jack over the past 20 years I was excited.... But let down.. The whole show sounded like one song . Jack was lathargic, the only time it got good was when the keyboard player was allowed to let loose ... Jack johnson has become mainstream, play my set and go home... Boring... Many others said the same thing.. But it was all worth it to see Edward sharpe... Will never waste my money to see jack again!!!

  • A great show!

Our first time seeing JJ. He played all the hits, played for about 2 hours and sounded great. Five stars. Highly recommend.

  • Jack at the Orpheum was fantastic!

by TERAYNE on 2013-10-23Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was perfect for an up close and personal eve with Jack and his band. They played 2 hours pretty much non-stop. Did a few of the newbies and all the faves as well. Best part was for the encore he walked to front of stage, no Mic no Amp and just played, we were on the 2nd balcony and could still hear it perfect. Then the rest of the band and the Bahamas (big bonus) all came out totally unplugged and did a few more songs. A Magical Musical Moment :)

  • Jack Johnson - Spectacular!

by Anonymous on 2013-10-21Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts, the Balboa Theatre was gorgeous with amazing sound. Jack Johnson lived up to the high expectations we had and then some! Opening band Bahamas were excellent! All in all a perfect night!!

  • Jack was amazing yet again.

Another great performance by. Jack Johnson. Loved his band, everything was wonderful. But of course could have gone on and on!

Yet another amazing show from Jack Johnson. He never fails to leave you wanting more. Great show!

  • Jack is the man.

by wavelifter on 2013-10-18Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Jack is amazing. Even after the show he still is. No question about it. His show was great. He crisscrossed between old and new throughout the concert, just in case we haven't listened to his new album yet. Everyone sang with him when he sang any classics. While taking short breaks, he'd crack jokes or tell the backstory of the next song he was going to sing. Bottom line is, if you want to have a really good time and just kick back your feet and relax, you can't get any better than Jack. Period.

  • Such a treat to watch Jack in a small venue!

    by Sarah08 on 2013-10-18Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Jack put on a great show. He started the concert with "requests" which was awesome. He performed many favorite songs from his older albums in addition to his latest album, all of which were catchy tunes. Near the end of the show he sang without a microphone and he sounded great!

  • jack johnson is the epitome of class

    by just8jackie on 2013-10-17Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

what a great evening... the only way it could have been better was that it could have taken place in Maui on a beach instead of the fabulous Orpheum Theatre. Jack Johnson is humble and includes everyone that is on the stage with him. His incredibly talented piano player was just another highlight in the show. Worth every single penny!!! At the end of the show he played in the RAW, no microphone, no back up band, just Jack, his guitar at the end of the stage playing for the most silent audience EVER

  • Jack did not disappoint

by longandstraight on 2013-10-17Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I got tickets to Jack through the lottery and he did not disappoint. While my wife is a huge fan and I like Jack, he would not have been on top of 'my must concerts to attend list'. He is now. From his acoustic beginning to the encore done without any mic's, it was very intimate and felt like I was in his living room. The Orpheum always helps this intimacy but Jack made it that much better. His band and especially Zack were also a surprise. They are true musicians as well as entertainers. A great performance.
