by Shannon on 2023-06-07National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I don’t know where to start! Jagged Little Pill is a masterpiece. From Alanis Morissette’s ground breaking music to a truly fantastic actors/dancers/musicians, it was fantastic! I’d love to see it again.

    Awful Acoustics!

by Pam F on 2023-06-07National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The volume was over the top and the acoustics were terrible. We couldn't hear the lyrics to any of the songs! Neither of us enjoyed it and by intermission, I had developed a headache so we left. We won't purchase tickets for events at Southam Hall again ... or at least until the acoustics are remedied.

    Talented cast

by Bon on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Very talented cast especially the female leads. Difficult to hear the words as music volume overtook. Staging clever. Story line good

    Absolutely Awesome!

by Sandra on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Loved experiencing the lyrics coming to life on stage. I’m even more of an Alanis Morrisette than I was before.

    Review of Jagged Little Pill

by George on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

This was the most disgusting musical I could ever have imagined. It was full of the dark and sick agenda being pushed everywhere in society these days; sexual deviance, rape, drugs, unhealthy same sex relationships and satanic overtones. Nothing traditional, inspiring or beautiful in it whatsoever. My lady and I left the show early as we could no longer stomach it. Totally disgusting and I feel ripped off. What is going on with the NAC and this sick world?

    Amazing

by Shadybee on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

This show will give you all the feels. The laughs and the tears. The uninvited song is certainly my favourite part of the whole show. If I win tickets to this, I would see it again!

    Mixed experience

by PEP on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

For the first 15 minutes or so, I wanted to shoot myself. I actually was going to leave. Then, someone started to sing. Each singer had an amazing voice. The story (book) was perhaps the worst I have ever experienced. It was all over the place, not original and poorly written. However, the talent was so good I was able to power through it. Loved the players, hated the book.

    Great but loud

by Danielle on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Hello, I guess i am getting old, found too loud and missed much of the dialogue. People were laughing and we weren't :( dancing was great as well as music.

    Jagged

by Littlehead on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The 3 main characters were all played by the understudies. Do not understand why all 3 were replaced, considering the run of the play was 6 days! Had difficulty hearing the lyrics as the singers were drowned by the live orchestra. Some voices were screechy. In general acoustics, where were sitting were not good. Good concept dealing with today's issues. Songs well incorporated in the storyline.

    Meh

by Prints on 2023-06-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The company did not do the songs justice. You Oughta Know was butchered. Interaction between characters was pedestrian. And for the first time at the NAC, the sound quality was piss poor. Could not hear very well, even though I was only 12 rows from the stage.
