    Unforgettable

It was absolute perfection. Reliving this iconic soundtrack through such a thoughtfully presented story was magical.

Great event that has you singing out loud. A must see for fans of Alanis.

    Amazing Show

by DLV on 2023-06-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

This was the best show I have seen. Funny, moving with powerful messages. I caught myself saying WOW out loud many times throughout the performance. Jo, played by Jade McLeod, has the most amazing voice. Their rendition of “You Oughta Know” is the best I’ve ever heard. I would see this touring comapny’s performance over and over again.

    Great show

by R. M. on 2023-06-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Wonderful production which told a most relevant story We found the sound was less than good when more than one actor spoke at once. When individuals spoke there was no problem Overall, fabulous evening out

    So much potential!

by High Hopes Dashed on 2023-06-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The show featured excellent performers and a great story line. Unfortunately, most of the lyrics of the songs were drowned out by the band. This was about the fourth day of the run and we were sitting several rows in front of the audio tech booth. So, the techs heard what we heard and should have made adjustments. We had the same experience with "Hamilton". I know it's not the venue because we have seen may shows there where the sound was excellent.

    All the feels

by Spirit on 2023-06-04National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I have to commend the entire cast for this Broadway Production! I quickly related with the characters and felt the depth of each person was so dynamic. It was so real, so raw and so on the pulse of what so many people are experiencing. I loved the story, the dance performances were stellar and I am still replaying the songs in my mind. The cast were exceptional showcasing Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill

    Good show but…

by Doug on 2023-06-04National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Great show, cast and music ….. But the sound was off …. Which is odd for the NAC ….. been to many shows and I always rave how good the sound is there ….. Someone screwed up the sound or something was broke.

    Had a great time

by John on 2023-06-04National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The show, choreography, music, humour and drama was all great....the solo numbers sounded great but the chorus numbers were too loud and sounded a bit distorted. Adjusting the sound would have made it even better but we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Muddy sound system takes the edge off a great show

by OttawafanofAlanis on 2023-06-04National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Great music, great cast and a clever way to wrap a good story around her songbook. Unfortunately the sound was muddy and a bit too loud for the NAC hall so it was hard to hear the lyrics at times. I have been to rock shows at hockey arenas that were clearer.

    Worth it

by gauthed on 2023-06-04National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Lively play that covered many hot topics but did not dwelve nor conclude anything. Sitting in the back I could not hear all the words spoken on stage. At half time I got a receiever and the play improved 100 perecent. The sets were excellent. I would recommend this play to all.

    Thank you

by Mel on 2023-06-04National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

It was smart, powerful and I loved how they worked in Jagged little pill’s songs into an interesting story that touches many different angles and controversial topics. It was such a treat to be taken back to an Alanis world that marked my teenage years.

Music was good, entertainers good, story line is way too woke.

    Fabulous show

by Joyous on 2023-06-03National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

WowWowWow!!! The story was au courant and had all the right sharp edges. Everything that matters was up for grabs and intensely sung. I especially loved the scenes between those who ache for connection while turning away from that which is offered. These characters are tragic, funny, real and very loveable. Jo was outstanding, Frankie was endearing in her earnest quest for a better world. Mary Jane made me ache for her false perfection and authentic woundedness (what a battle with her younger self-OMG!). As a psychiatrist-this show is it! It pulses with heart, blood and tears. Bravo-standing ovations!

    Disappointed

by Pedro on 2023-06-03National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Poor sound quality throughout. Heavy-handed narrative. Great idea but awkwardly implemented. We love the songs but the sound made the experience disappointing.
