  • Just like the real thing!!

by 450Philly on 2013-02-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Jason and the guys were awesome. They put on a really good show. The only problem was the crowd kinda sucked. Felt bad for the band. Other than that, a great nite with great music.

  • Outstanding !

by used on 2013-02-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Well worth it, great new lead signer, the only song they struggled with was Stairway to Heaven in the encore, otherwise very tight and excellent show !

They're all fantastic musicians, the singer too....but they don't produce a clean sound. The vocals don't stand out and the bass and drums overpower the guitar.

  • Very distorteed

by bwyz on 2013-02-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 2 out of 5

I thought the sound was very distorted and it seems like the bass drum drowned out the rest of the music. I was disappointed!

  • LZ experience was fantastic

by Rockonforever on 2013-02-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Great show. Excellent musicians. Almost like the real thing. The 2.5 hrs felt like 2.5 minutes. I wish we could have heard more.

  • Jason Bohnam is as good as his dad!

by Barky on 2013-02-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

The musicians were all excellent, tight and well rehearsed. Jason can bang those skins just like his dad. The lead singer at times however overpowered the music

  • We left at intermission

I think the title says it all. I've seen almost every superstar rock band.from the last 45 years. The eceptions would be Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. I got to use the Beatles set that McCartney did as a substitute for the real thing, and this was as close as I was ever going to get to a substitute for Led Zeppelin. I certainly hope for their sake that it was a pale and pathetic substitute. I've seen Led Zep tunes covered by other bands like Heart and Great White, both known for the Led Zep cver work, and they're 100 times better. I don't think I've heard a sound system that pathetic in over 30 years. Compared to the state of the art sound that the supergroups are getting these days the sound at this concert was muddy, the highs were clipped and screechy, and the base was so overpowering that sometimes it was all you could hear. The sound system was so bad that even when Jason was talking you couldn't understand a word he said. If you've really got a hankering to hear Jason Bonham, his CD The Disregard for Timekeeping is world class - not quite a desert island CD for me, but darned close. I'd start there and skip the Led Zep tribute stuff.

  • Jason Bonham's Led Zep Experience = Great Show

by Scooby on 2013-02-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Bonham and his band put on another amazing performance! Second time seeing this act, loved it again! Highlight of the show would be "When the Levee Breaks" and of course my personal favorite "Since I've Been Loving You".... would highly recommend this show to any Led Zeppelin fan!!

  • Great Show But No Moby Dick

by CalgaryZeppelinShow on 2013-02-12Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

The show was outstanding; musicians sound just like Led Zeppelin and the sounds sound even better than studio original versions. But beware; after reading so many Ticketmaster reviews that raved about the Moby Dick split-screen performance, my son and I waited the whole concert for this, and suddenly the show was over, and no Moby Dick. We cojuldn't believe it. This was a huge disappointment, they easily could have made time by removing a few lesser known songs. I can understand that they might change the setlist from show to show, but Moby Dick is Bonham's signature song, and I can't see why it would ever be left out. When The Levee Breaks was the best song for highlighting Bonham's drumming, and You Shook Me and Your Time Is Gonna Come were great surprises. Kashmir, Immigrant Song and Whole Lotta Love were great as expected. A lot of the songs I had never heard live were really done well. Excellent musicians and singing that sound exactly like the real band.

  • A time-travel experience.. album quality LIVE!!

by Darkmark on 2013-02-10MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

There's never been a band with the luminous brilliance of Led Zeppelin.. and, lets be honest.. there never will be. And so, to experience the raw and mystical power of their music LIVE the way it was meant to be seen and felt is nothing short of a revelational, teleportational, illuminational event. Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience really is exactly that.. an immersive experience. Do not anticipate a mere cover act, nor expect players trying to mimic their heros. Jason and crew beautifully and unpretentiously pour out their gift of love for this body of music with not just note for note precision, but with a generosity and passionate devotion that moves amongst the crowd with waves of unifying happiness.. bringing headbangers to their feet.. and grown men to joyful tears. All walks of life can, for a limited time, once again lay hold of the primordial ooze of molten rock while the child of one of the most enigmatic and influential 'thunder gods' pays homage to the memory and talent of his too-soon-departed dad.. and simultaneously claims his birthright. If you missed the real deal in the 70's.. then please, do not miss this very epic and historical event.. because there's never been anything like this.
