Jeremy Dutcher is an amazing artist! His stage presence was phenomenal. I loved his interactions with the audience and his band. He has a great mix of taking his art seriously and having a fun sense of humour. His passion showed the entire time and reached way inside my soul. The opening act was a bit whiny... I wasn't a fan.
Had been wanting to see Jeremy for quite a while and the show really lived up to my expectations. It's wonderful to see Indigenous music generating the kind of enthusiasm we experienced at this concert. The opening act, Sister Ray, was great, as well. And the fact that it was at the beautiful Corona was just the icing on the cake.
Jeremy Dutcher is amazing. We loved his music, posture, attitude. Unfortunately we didnt appreciate the first part... we came to see Jeremy and it was not announced anywhere that there would be a first part. But all the rest was super !
Watching Jeremy share his experiences, his voice, his music was incredible. Everything I expected and more. His musicians are incredible. Listening to him sing the Honour song was a dream come true. Praise to this beautiful human. Thank you for a lovely evening. The only thing that was disappointing is that it ended.
Jeremy Dutcher's voice is incredible. I don't speak the same language as he does and yet he manages to convey so much emotion through his songs. He is generous and seems really close to his band. So glad to have discovered this wonderful artist!
Jeremy is unmatched live, and such a nice surprise to see Melody McKiver!
Jeremy Dutcher is a musical genius. A fantastic performer with an extraordinary band.
For the second time in a week, the Commodore Ballroom failed us with sound issues. At The Interrupters last week, the sound was muddy, and for Jeremy Dutcher there was a hum, that at one pint was bad enough for one of the musicians to stop the show asking for something to be done (the first song was horrid because of the buzz). As always, the bar has nothing interesting to offer at too high of a price. Clearly the new owners of this iconic spot care more about profit than about quality. That said, Jeremy Dutcher - and friends - was awesome in spite of his cold. It was a joy to experience.
Jeremy Dutcher has done amazing archival and musical work. It is important work academically and culturally, and it certainly doesn't hurt that he is a piano virtuoso and his voice could make angels cry!
