  • Jeremy was on fire !!!

by Mini on 2025-02-03Casino Nova Scotia - The Bruce Guthro Theatre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was very hot and crowded… HOWEVER, I guess soooo many people wanted to see Jeremy. He was so funny.. Don’t tell Seinfeld, I saw him in Toronto last month and Jeremy made me laugh longer and harder 🤫 Also… Jeremy was so energetic, and I’m sure he was tired from travel and the show, that he still came out to meet the audience and schmooze … very fine gentleman 👍👍. I’d see him again.

  • Great night out with awesome laughs

Very smooth ticket purchase and entrance. The show was hilarious and just the right length! Loved seeing Jeremy's dog Shackleton! We stayed at Hotel Halifax and really enjoyed the pedway walk to the Casino with no coat needed! Would do this again in a minute!

  • Absolutely hilarious!

Jeremy Hotz knows comedy, and when this man gets up on the stage and a good 75%+ of his act is based solely on the audience in front of him, you know that's comedic genius. This was my fourth time seeing him, and he never ever disappoints. Can't wait for him to come back again.

Saw Jeremy Hotz in Coquitlam Casino on Saturday. Great to see him again after last time 20 years ago. He is still Canadian at heart and knows his audience; a very funny man. Check him out if you have a show in your vicinity!!

Some really good stuff. He laughed way too hard at his own jokes and was bent over laughing for long periods of time. Felt he was a bit tired.

I was unfamiliar with Jeremy, but friends were going so we thought we would join them. The show was great. He was very funny and my wife and I laughed throughout the entire show. Even his opening act was funny. Would definitely recommend seeing him if you get a chance. Thanks for a great night. Jeremy, I will think of you every time I get an itchy foot and by the way I am a Funeral Director.

  • Loved it!

by Lilithluv on 2023-10-04Théâtre Beanfield - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the venue choice but it was amazing. I also appreciated being able to buy parking in advance. The obit down side about the venue was that the seats were extremely uncomfortable. I have back issues and by the middle of the show, I was in pain. Jeremy and his opening act were very funny. As always he’s a professional and we adore him. It was a great night out! Thanks

  • Had a good laugh

The opening act was average. Jeremy came out on fire. He worked the audience and that part was very funny, however, the latter part of the show was not as good. The most annoying part of the show, was Jeremy constantly bending over fake laughing.

  • Awesome show!

Truly enjoyed Jeremy! His opening acts where great too! When are you coming back?

  • What happened

by Theman on 2023-10-01Rating: 3 out of 5

Not sure what happened to him but the pandemic did a number on him. Laughed way too hard at all his own jokes, just interacted with the audience way too much, kept looking at his notes and repeating the same line over and over. Minimal content, just feeding off the audiences outfits and ages. Definitely disappointed, won’t be in any rush to see him again.

  • It was ok

by Theman on 2023-10-01The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The venue was quaint but it’s really crappy that Ticketmaster puts 7:00 on the ticket for showtime when really that means doors open at 7:00. People make plans based on show starting at 7. The entire crowd was upset about this. Jeremy was good… felt like he wasn’t completely prepared, kept checking his “set list” to see what else he could talk about… it’s too bad.

  • Mildly Disappointed

by Kiwi on 2023-10-01The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

My only previous encounters with Jeremy Hotz took the form of several 7 minute spots on TV shows such as Just For Laughs. Up Close and Miserable found him struggling to maintain a good level of humour over the extended one hour slot. It became clear early on that much of the show was not planned. Sometimes this can work, but Jeremy appeared from the start to be fatigued and perhaps under the influence of some substance. Under those circumstances, a structured show likely would have worked better. I didn't find the recurring theme of "find yourself someone to love"contributed anything useful. Still there were a good number of genuinely funny bits. Darrin Rose's warm up actually delivered a more consistent quality of humour.

  • Good show; organizers need to be more organized

by Brian Kralik on 2023-10-01The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Jeremy Hotz was great, and so were his openers. But he wasn’t advertised to have openers and the venue was not clear what times the doors open nor what time the acts were on. It’s a disservice to the opening acts who don’t get any recognition, and a disservice to patrons who don’t want to wait at the venue an hour for the first act to come on and 2 hours until the headliner comes on. Better communication is needed by the organizers and/or venue. This is 2023 not 1973.
