Funniest live show I have ever seen. Having seen him on TV in England, knew what to expect. Several people were visibly shocked in the early stages but joined in the raucous laughter as they loosened up. The only problem I had was with Ticketmaster. As I don't have a cell phone, I was not able to load the Mobile App. Also, I was not able to print my tickets at home. Also, I could not reach a "live" person to talk to. Your virtual assistant, James, was helpful and told me a person could get back to me - between 12 and 24 hours from the time he requested it. M y review of the show stands though - Terribly Funny!
Jimmy Carr is hilarious. He's a veteran and a pro at what he does. I find it mildly disturbing that I got an email from Ticketmaster entitled, "What did you (really) think of Jimmy Carr?". This is a leading question and implies that something was wrong. I've never received an email asking something similar about any musical act. Focus on your business, and not the content - that is not your line of work.
I had a great seat in the 4th row on the floor. The comedy show was incredible. Joke after joke after joke. It was a memorable experience.
The comedy was fantastic and even better than what I had hoped for. The one downside was our seat location was at the very back of the top balcony and in the corner which made it difficult to hear some of the jokes as the sound did not travel well to that area. It would be helpful to have extra speakers for the sides of the balcony.
Bit disappointed the staff at the venue didnt know show was 2 hours which meant our show was now starting at 10 pm instead of 9pm.
We just love Jimmy Carr , we were so excited when we saw he was coming to Winnipeg, we had the best time really enjoyed the show
Jimmy is amazing live. They way he feeds off the audience is a site to behold. Beyond his rapid fire joke technique he is also a good story teller. Would definitely go to see him live again.
From the moment the words on the screen came on, it was hilarious, however, you go knowing what youâre getting. Please donât go if youâve never seen him, cause you may be appalled. Sick sense of humour required, and with sold out shows- Iâm not the only one đđđ¤Łđ¤Ł
Having seen Jimmy Carr four previous times over the years he does not disappoint and has not lost his edge. From start to finish he was on point. If you are prone to taking any offence to anything ever he is not the comedian for you. However, if you can appreciate humour that pulls no punches and leaves no topic untouched yet makes you squirm a bit at times do not hesitate to see Jimmy Carr live. Oh and pee before the show starts. Youâll be glad you did unless you have an iron clad bladder.
It was perfect from the start to the end. I wish it lasted longer
First off, I'm a progressive in my political leanings. I knew what I was in for. Jimmy Carr just delivers a barrage of funny stuff, short and longer jokes alike, and he's not afraid to flirt with material that could make some folks a little uncomfortable. I tend to like my comics to punch above them. Jimmy punches in every single direction, though primarily at targets that need a kick in the ass. I had a brilliant time and I would say the same from a very appreciative audience that shared my experience. I would see him again in a second, if only to catch the jokes I missed because I was still laughing so hard at the ones before. p.s. do NOT skip the section in the end where he reads texts sent to him by the audience, there was some really, really funny stuff. pps. just kidding about the punchable face, I'm sure some people would not punch it at all.
Jimmyâs humour isnât for everyone. Far more old school than the current overly politically correct and overly sensitive environment that wonât last. At the end of the day itâs okay to laugh at each other, itâs the hate that has to stop. I enjoyed it. Two solid hours of laughs.
Show was fantastic, very late starting but great. Venu has no air conditioning so being the second show meant it was extremely hot!
Absolutely brilliant. I did not stop laughing from start to finish. Yes, lots of dark humour... but that is why you buy tickets for Jimmy Carr. Money well spent!
Super funny show. Great seats. Helpful staff. Love going to the Burt
We had a great time! Jimmy was hilarious as always. This was my first time at the Burton Cummings Theatre and it was great as well. The only down side is how warm it was in the theatre but that mightâve just been amplified by the close proximity of how many people were crammed in there. Would definitely see him again and will keep an eye on the theatre promotions
Jimmy Carr live says it all - a highly entertaining show from start to finish. If you like his specials and you enjoy his comedy this is a canât miss experience. One of my favorite nights out in years
The show was great and Jimmy Carr is fantastic. I however feel the show is inappropriate for the younger people. They however were accompanied by an adult do not sure if they should be left at the parents discretion, or if the establishment should have an age requirement. Jimmy is hilarious, quick with the responses, I am very entertaining.
Jimmy Carr was funny and went on for an hour and a half straight...was kept laughing the entire time. However parking at Hamilton place next door was terrible because the earliier show was trying to exit while we were trying to park. It took 20 minutes to park. They should have had people in the parking garage to direct traffic. Fortunately they delayed the start of Mr. Carr's show until the crowd could get in. They also only let the crowd in one entrance which caused a 3 block line-up to get in.
