Joe Cocker put on a great show of old classics and newer tunes. The friendly atmosphere allowed for teh crowd to head down stage front and dance to the tunes and was reminiscent of the 70"s
The opening singer was terrific - a great intro for the evening. The band was exceptional - some of the tightest music I've heard - ever. And Joe is still Joe - a lot of music with a lot of soul!
Great concert, great venue, a view from every seat. Loved him. The band was terrific!
The show was great with all his best songs that had everyone singing along. His energy is amazing and he is a classic !
I was pretty amazed at Joe Cocker's ability to perform like he was twentysomething. He sang alot of his old tunes and some newer stuff as well. He was a crowd pleaser although the concert was only about an hour and 15 minutes. However, I'm sure some of the audience was probably happy to be home and in bed by 11:00 anyways.
Wow! I have loved Joe Cocker for years and admired his longevity in the music business. this was the first time I have seen him perform, and I have to say that it far superseded my expectations. He has such passion in his delivery of songs, and I know that when he sang You Are So Beautiful, I wasn't the only one who felt a little choked holding back tears. Even though there were 1000 people in the room, it felt like he was singing it only to you. It had such feeling with every word he produced that I had to wonder who the inspiration was behind the song. He doesn't move as freely as those videos you see of him in the (very) early years, but he does still do his trademark contorting of his body, just not as wildly! After each song he would give a jump. He did three encores, and sang every song I hoped he would sing. I thought the tickets were pricey, but after the show I felt it was worth every penny. I hope he comes back.
One of the best concerts I have been to. Anyone who is a fan of Joe Cocker would have enjoyed this concert and those that are not would have wonder why they are not. I would recommend this concert to everyone and look forward to his return.
Joe puts on an awesome polished performance.....I will go see him again and again!!!!

Awesome evening of entertainment. Mr. Cocker really delivered all his hits including "Up Where We Belong" with a female vocalist cloning Jennifer Warnes. Joe looked fit and healthy. He covered all his most famous songs both original and covers. With a Little Help From My Friends was stunning considering he's been singing it for 40 years now. Feeling Allright was my particular favourite!! I personally have 28 recordings (Lp/CD/DVD) of Joe Cocker in various forms both live and studio, and quite honestly have never heard his voice better. He jumped up and came down to signal the end of virtually every song showing that he is the man in control. The crack band supporting him was tight and very talented with special kudos to the sax/keyboard player. The 2 female backup singers provided a lot of soul and "pumped up" the volume each time!
Joe Cocker just keeps getting better. We were entertained from start to finish and left wanting more. Young and old alike got their moneys worth.
Haven't seen Joe live before but have always enjoyed his music. Great show, awesome voice, fun fun. Thanks Joe we had a gas!
My husband and I were delighted with our second row seats for the Joe Cocker concert at Hamilton Place. We were pleased to hear Joe Cocker's trademark scream in several songs. The band members were superb. The backup singers were having far too much fun! The bass guitarist looked like she had stepped out of the 1960's onto the stage. The percussionist/saxophonist showcased his talents in a number of songs. There were many nostaglic moments listening to the songs that we remembered from our teenage years!
The whole experience of Joe Cocker was sensational! Have been a fan for many years and was not disappointed. The show could have gone on for a while longer - as I never get enough. The theatre was comfortable and the audience was respectful - what more could you ask for? Thanks for bringing Joe to the Red Robinson Theatre.
At a well preserved 65, Joe Cocker rocked the house down. He has never lost the big voice and his stamina is phenomenal. He sounded just like he did 40 years ago when he did "With a Little Help From My Friends" He still lets it rip! His band was tight and really outstanding. It was great seeing him in a smaller and more intimate venue and I did not mind paying a slightly higher ticket price for that privilege. Wow. I hope I am going that strong at 65!
from start to end of the concert,it was electrifying.The songs that were performed were all great and familiar to me.I like the beatles songs especially.Joe was so good that the security was not able to prevent the crowd from dancing in front.
It was strange to see the Security ushering individuals back at the beginning of the concert when they wanted to stand by the stage...well when..."You Can Leave Your Hat On" started to play...It was awesome that Securiy let those who wanted to dance, sing and rock on in the front stage. Have to admit..I was there. Great to hear Joe sing out his hit songs. He's still got it. His band was incredible. Thanks for the encore presentations. I was not disappointed in any of the songs performed...well done Joe!!! Thanks "I Had the Time of My Life"
Very good, fantastic energy for a fellow his age! Sound was a little loud for me, but then, I'm "gettin' on in years" (not as old as him, though! haha). Brought back some memories of younger days. My husband was the one to request the tickets, so I got them for him for his birthday. But I enjoyed the concert as well.
Excellent concert! Too bad Joe didn't perform longer - the concert was over before 10:00! Hope he will come again....we'll be there!
