John Mulaney is a three-time Emmy and WGA award-winning writer, actor, and comedian.
Mulaney can be seen in his latest Netflix stand up special,�BABY J. Released in April 2023, Mulaney converts his personal turmoil into comedic brilliance, which earned him 2023 Emmy nominations in Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and won him an Emmy for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special. BABY J, recently earned the 2024 Critic's Choice Award for Best Comedy Special (non-televised). On tour, he has sold out massive venues around North America from Madison Square Garden multiple times to the Hollywood Bowl. His 2023 tour dates included shows across US, Europe and Australia.
In 2018, John Mulaney traveled the United States with sold out Kid Gorgeous tour, which was later released as a Netflix stand-up special and won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Special; In 2015, he released�The Comeback Kid, also a Netflix original, which The AV Club called the "best hour of his career;" In 2012, his Comedy Central special New In Town had Ken Tucker of Entertainment Weekly hailing him as "one of the best stand-up comics alive."
John Mulaney has been invited to host Saturday Night Live five times. He began writing for SNL in 2008 and created memorable characters such as 'Stefon' with Bill Hader and appeared as a "Weekend Update" correspondent. He has written for IFC's�Documentary Now!�and Netflix's�Big Mouth, on which he voices the character of Andrew. In December 2019, the critically acclaimed and Emmy nominated musical variety special�John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch�debuted on Netflix.
He's also starred on Broadway in the runaway hit written and performed alongside Nick Kroll in�Oh, Hello On Broadway. The duo have since release a Netflix special of the same name, as well as�Oh, Hello: The P'dcast, based off their characters Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland.
Our family has been long time fans of John Mulaney and given everything he's been through in the last handful of years, we were a little hesitant about how he would navigate this tour.... NEEDLESSLY. This was hands down the best comedy show I've been to, including some of the greats in New York. This new humble honesty that he presents with is so charming and engaging. Spectacular. 10/10. Could not recommend this more!
John's jokes were super funny, the first time I heard them on Saturday Night Live back on Feb 26 of this year. I thought he would have come up with some new material for the big tour. Sadly the performance was mostly a elongated version of his opening monolog from the last time he hosed SNL. So that was kind of a let down.

Wow! Yeah over used expression like the home owners on a Reno show but really WOW! What a great show, halarious and if you know the Louis C K bit ....not the maturation...his skit on using the word halarious ...well John Mulany was IT! GREAT show, LOVED the sincerity and wit. He knows how to connect and it was a pleasure to see him and a great night. Can't wait to see him again. Elephant Man??, no idea- just wanted you to read this review.
Had us laughing all night but the phone in the case sucked for the hour before the show started
John Mulaney was absolutely hilarious! He was energetic and super personable. The way he incorporated local and Canadian stories was so clever and entertaining. Hope he comes around again!

Having to lock my phone in a bag along with my watch ensured I would never attend a show with those requirements. I purchased the tickets in the pre-sale and that condition was not declared upfront. Had I known I would have stayed home.
Was a phenomenal show!! I did not stop laughing from the beginning of his set until the end. Highly recommend!
Love John Mulaney. He has always been a very funny and entertaining comedian. It is good to see his journey in life has allowed him to continue entertaining and that he is so open to sharing his experiences. If he can save even one person from addiction through his entertainment - all the better!
John Mulaney is a story teller extraordinaire! He takes a very personal and challenging experience and opens up with humour and insight. Taking on this topic could not have been easy but the journey is both horrifying and hilarious. We are all lucky that the intervention worked and hope he is able to stay on a healthy road because we need his humour and genius!

Okay, So I have admired this comedian since I was at the ripe age of 14. Watching SNL and memorizing every word to his specials on Netflix got me through some extremely difficult times. At the time of this show I was (and still going through currently) a extreme depressive episode. I had not travelled or left my room much for weeks. I constantly had people over or was around others, because I feared for my own safety when I was alone. I was determined to attend this event because I had booked it so far in advance I felt guilty cancelling last minute, also considering the fact I also bought these tickets for my best friends birthday. Regardless, I was and (still am) not so good place. However, this show made me so incredibly happy for the first time in so long. The opener was extremely charismatic and his set was amazing. During Mulaneys set I admired the amount of research he did with Moncton, as well as the extensive audience participation. It made the atmosphere more personal which I really enjoyed. All in all, the event was spectacular and made me feel a small morsel of joy while I was otherwise suffering in an endless depression loop. So John and Seaton, thank you, I am glad I stuck around to see this show. I am not going to be one of those people that go on and on about how this comedian "saved my life". However, he made mine a lot better by simply being in it. So thank you for helping me forget about all of the bad things happening around me, even if it was for only an hour or so. You make more of a difference in peoples lives than you think... - C
First of all, it took an incredibly long time to enter the venue because every guest was stopped and asked to put their mobile phones and smart watches in a lockable pouch until after the show. This was to prevent audio or video recording of the event. This was inconvenient, there was no advance notice, and the venue was unprepared for the extra time it took. Plus, this caused great stress to anyone with young children or elderly parents who had no way of knowing if anyone was trying to get hold of them. This was completely unreasonable. I have never seen this anywhere before. This caused safety concerns at the end of the show as escalators kept delivering people to the only available exit (there are others, but they were blocked by security), where they could pass through only a handful at a time. This was an accident waiting to happen. Secondly, John Mulaney is a very funny guy, but his entire show was dedicated to one topic: his rehab experience. I applaud what he has done to overcome addiction, but it's a bit much to hear about nothing else. Anyone who saw his last appearance on SNL already gets it and has heard some of the material.
John Mulaney was great, thé show was hilarious. But the floor seats were horrible. We were stuffed like sardines and the rows weren’t staggered. So I had no room for my arms, I had to sit a little crooked and I had to crane my neck to the side to be able to see. You should either get seats with armrests or leave a bit of space between the chairs. That way the show can be enjoyable.
We showed up to the event to many different lines and everyone confused on what to do it ended up being fine we got in found our seats and John mulaney was hilarious it was the leaving the event that was the downfall due to the fact that everyone had their phones locked up and had to get them unlocked before leaving there was a huge backup of people which was extremely dangerous as the people coming down the escalators soon had no space to go and they had to do an emergency stop of the escalators to prevent what would have been many injuries so next time things should be done very differently or the Avenir center should never be hosting events with that many people if they cannot safely leave
Comedian was good, found the bagging your phone thing tedious. Added alot of extra time to getting in/out of the venue
