Really enjoyed the show and the venue! Mr. Mulaney has changed his act some, but really enjoyed the evening with him. We did find the seats a little cramped but other than that the centre was terrific.

  • HILARIOUS

    by A. J. on 2022-10-16Rating: 5 out of 5

I haven’t laughed this hard in my life ever. Until the last moment I truly thought about skipping it but i’m glad I didn’t. John Mulaney’s stand-up is exceptional. There wasn’t a single moment during the entire show that I wasn’t laughing out loud. Not only does he find humour in some serious stages of his personal life, he also does not need to rely on topics of sex and politics to create an interesting story. I would watch it again and recommend it to others as well.

  • Lemons to Lemonade

by Kelly on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

John took a desperate situation, his addiction, and crafted a dialogue filled with hilarity. Regarding a completely different aspect of the event ... The venue was completely disorganized with regards to unlocking our phones from those sacks. Attendees basically had to seek out an individual with the device to release the sack. These poor employees were swarmed with hives of event goers.

  • Pretty Great

by Jonny on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Rough start to the show as we were required to lock away our phones into a magnetic fabric pouch… odd being treated like children who couldn’t be trusted to stay off their phones. It took over 30 minutes for us to get into the building. Not a fan of THAT!! Aside from that, Mulaney was fantastic. This may not have been his funniest set ever but it was definitely his best performance and obviously, his most personal hour yet. I’m excited to watch the special when it comes out on streaming… and hopefully then I won’t have to lock up my phone.

  • Always Funny

Great show; I only wish that I hadn't seen his appearance on YouTube with Seth Myers in which he discussed his intervention and rehab, as much of this show was based on that appearance so I had heard most of the stories before. His other material was great as always.

  • Great time! Go!

by KohutThree on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Our family loves John Mulaney's comedy and we've rewatched his Netflix specials repeatedly. His new live show is just great and it's good to see him back on his feet after his well publicized personal difficulties. We laughed our *sses off. Three thumbs up!

  • Great

by Christie on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Was in tears laughing, the openers were equally great! So glad I went. Probably my favourite stand up performances I’ve seen so far!

  • Pretty good

    by G on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

John Mulaney was very funny, I really enjoyed his set. The first opener was really good, I didn’t care too much for the second one. My main issue is that the show started about 20 minutes late. Otherwise very good experience.

  • I saw him right after rehab

by HWB on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. As clever as ever, with candid insights into his recovery that has us doubled over even when it was dark. He’s a true wordsmith. Crowd work was excellent - he had an amazing exchange with a fellow recoveree - and he knew enough about the local setting to connect over inside jokes, and it was even funnier when the audience had inside jokes of our own! If you get a chance, go see him. Leave your phone at home, and go.

  • Funny

by Sher on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Mulaney is so funny and animated, I would absolutely see him again. I wish that the event hadn’t forced us to lock away all electronics. It was inconvenient and made the entrance lineup unnecessarily long. If there is another event using Yondr, I will likely not attend.

  • Great night!

by Miranda on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

We arrived early and were thanked with an upgrade to the floor (something I’ve never experienced before)! As a big John Mulaney fan, this made the night extra special. All staff from check-in, to concession, to security were friendly and helpful.

  • Fantastic show!

by Nikki on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The two openers were fantastic. John’s set was incredible. Great overall show and experience!

  • funny show

by cutiemsthang on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

all 3 comics were hilarious stars lost for show starting late and stupidity of locked phone cases - bigger than allowable purse size bottlenecked trying to leave - waiting for phone case to be unlocked very limited concession variety

  • Excellent night!

by Sean S. on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

First time in quite awhile we've gone out to an event, Started a bit late but understandable as people were still getting to their seats. The two openers, Seaton Smith and Rickey Velez were okay. A bit too US-centered but that's understandable. Both funny in their own way. John had an incredible set, a perfect mix of new material and quite a bit of audience interaction which got some of the hardest laughs of the night! Well worth the short delay and also the price! Merch stock was a bit lower than I expected. By the time we got there (which was about 30 minutes before the schedules start time) all they had left was one style of shirt in limited sizes.

  • Not bad

by RJ on 2022-10-15Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

Too much old material already seen on Saturday nite live and utube.

  • Amazing Show! Not a fan of the no phone rule

by AC on 2022-09-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Never been to a comedy show before and it was amazing! Laughed the whole time! The opening acts were incredible as well and led nicely into John's show. My only gripe was the no phone rule. I didn't think of bringing my credit cards with me and to just use my phone to tap and ended up not being able to get any merch or any food, even after the show. Ended up going ~8hrs without food (also due to traffic) and having a hypoglycemic attack...lessons learned lol

  • He’s the best thing ever but….

by Jane on 2022-09-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Seeing him in a giant ugly stadium was not ideal. Cold and impersonal.

  • Hilarious

by Michelle on 2022-09-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney put on such a funny show, my face hurt from laughing so much! Thank you for the stellar performance, John; I really needed that!

  • Fun show, not so great acoustics

    by T. S. on 2022-09-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Funny funny funny. We had good seats but the acoustics were terrible - could hear an echo from the other end of the stadium, and not clear in parts. I'd think twice before seeing a performer there again. 3 comedians were stellar, and the process of securing your cell phone in the provided pouch was surprisingly seamless (though we arrived early, not sure about those that came later). The show started late - maybe that was part of it?

  • Good show but getting in and out was a nightmare

    by Thalberg1 on 2022-09-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Hi. I really enjoyed John Mulaney but getting into Scotiabank Arena was a horrible experience. Security was checking everyone bags for bottles(?) and all cell phones had to be put into special pouches which were locked and had to be unlocked after the show. Lots of waiting around. Not Ticketmasters fault but still a pretty experience.
