I almost cried. First in the front line. Non stop bass/drums/guitar with a Godly punch.

The opening solo pianist had passion and some really solid playing. He also had many minutes repeating the same 3 chords over and over with no real direction or elements of interest. It's probably my fault that I was underwhelmed by the Scofield Trio. He played very little of the funkier stuff I really like, and I'm not as big of a fan of his more traditional jazz playing.
