Excellent Christmas music, poor lighting
by Bob on 2025-11-30Molson Canadian Centre at Casino New/Nouveau Brunswick - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5Johnny Reid gave an excellent concert of his Christmas music in Moncton NB on Nov. 27. Several times he encouraged people to sing along, which was fun. The back-up musicians were all excellent. There were both high energy songs, as well as more quiet ones. The only poor thing was the lighting. Initially Johnny himself was often singing in the shadows. The use of various spot lights was creative and enhanced by the theatrical fog, but the overall effect was very poor because the musicians could not be seen at all well - even when they were performing solos.
