  • We loved Johnny!

My hubby and I went to Thursday nights performance and I surprised him with front row seats. He was amazing and we were so fortunate to shake his hand, talking directly to us, saying "you are a good looking couple". He is so personable and very humble.

I have seen Johnny before in concert and so was expecting something wonderful. That was an understatement. He is awesome. High powered, explosive and constantly keeping the audience engaged. I will go to see him again.

The show, the music, and the stage were all fantastic. The initmate setting was so very wonderful! The only criticism that we had was that everything was slightly less enjoyable because the mics were just a bit too loud. A few episodes of feedback too.

Best concert I have seen in a long long time. Johnny Reid's songs are so wonderful and they touch you deeply. They say we will never see him again at the Jubilee, that the next time he comes he will be at Rexall place. That makes me very sad, because that means I won't see Johnny Reid again. I will not go to a concert at Rexall!!

  • All I can say is WOW!!!!!!

Johnny is the consummate performer. He puts so much heart and soul into every song. You can tell he loves what he''s doing. He interacts with the crowd and you could tell was also a caring man. He picked a little boy out of the crowd to come up on stage and dance with his band. He probably made that little guy's life. And I would just love to go dancing with him! The man has moves!

  • Fantastic

by Jandysan on 2010-09-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I thought that Johhny Reid is a very down to earth entertainer. Hes involvment with the audience was outstanding. His voice is incredible. I find myself singing or humming his songs all the time without even realizing it somethimes. He writes songs that reflect his life and therefore, you can identify with them also. When the end of the evening came Johhny left you with a feeling that you got to know him as a person, that you certainly got your moneys worth anf you were left wanting more. I would gladly pay more for the ticket and can hardly wait until he comes to Edmonton again. The Jubliee was a perfect place for the concert, in my opinion, because you felt that it was cozier and the acoustics were fantastict. I feel that a Johnny Reid concert would have ben good at Rexall Place or anyplace else and I would have gladly gone, however, because it was held at the Jub it was nicer. I recommend his concert to everyone.

Johnny Reid has a wonderful voice and he is a great entertainer however there were times that the music was so loud that we could not hear his voice.

Johnny Reid is a true musician. Someone once told me anyone can sing a song but great singers believe the songs they sing tell a story and they want to tell that story. Truly amazing. Great show

I did not know what to expect of this concert. My mother in law wanted to go and hearing it was sold out for 3 shows thought it must be good. Bought the tickets and then the music. What a voice. What a gentleman. What a performer. What a wonderful experience.

  • Johnny Reid even more than hoped for...

by LesleyO on 2010-09-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

We knew this concert was going to be great, but it was more than expected. Johnny Reid not only gives his audience wonderful songs, from high-energy to acoustic ballad. He gives of himself, and makes everyone present feel that the communication is personal. This man is real, and we are all lucky to share in his work and a night such as one of his concerts.

  • Excellent performance

I was very excited to go to this concert. He is an amazing young man. He seems so passionate about life and it reflects in his music. His performance was outstanding as well as his band and singers. Look forward to seeing him again. Compliments to the Jubilee the sound system contributed to the excellent music. Thank you
