    Judas Priest

    by CX123 on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The show was ok, but not great...I think a greatest hits tour would have been better for me, rather then hearing the whole British Steel album. Also there was no encore, where I was hoping to hear some hits that i knew.

Both Whitesnake and Priest were great!

by Gunner on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

We were a little leary on how good this show was going to be since this was the 3rd show in a row for both Whitesnake and Judas Priest but both were bang on and were excellent. It was my 1st time seeing both and was blown away by how good they both were.

Judas Priest could have been better...

by Lala on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The opening band was Whitesnake.... good band but the sound for them was HORRIBLE! Once Judas Priest came out the sound improved alot.. He's got a great voice! He can still sing but the overall performance was just OK... I would have like to see more of a "cool unforgetable" show.

    Could be so much better

by Shalduga on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The show was great, no questions about it. Judas Priest and Whitesnake, which was the opening act, are still in the great shape. However, the concert could be so much better. First of all, Whitesnake deserved more time and better hour to start the show. It would absolutely make sense to move everything one hour ahead, so WS would play from 9 to 10 and JP from 10:30 to 12. Also, the JP song selection could be a lot better too. No "Rocker", no "Touch of Evil", actually nothing at all from "Painkiller". Regardless, I would recommend anyone to see them live. These bands are rock legends and should be seen live at least once by anyone who considers him/herself a true rock fan. To add to that, both David Coverdale and Rob Halford still got it.

    godlike performers, poor hosts

by bubba on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

As expected, the band played selections from their huge collection of great songs. All are amazing. There was no chance of disappointment, from the band, that is. The atmosphere in the stands was far too controlled. People like to celebrate as they enjoy music. The sight of concertgoers being wrestled to the ground has a huge negative impact on the mood and memory of the event, especially when it's necessity isn't evident. This added to being watched closely, corralled, and driven out at the end adds to my growing distaste of 'stadium' sized shows. It would be nice if the venue would try as good hosts to make their guests feel welcome.

    Great

    by Timeless84 on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Great Show from both bands, Whitesnake and Judas Priest. Eventhough the priests of judas arent the youngest fellows anymore, they still know how to put on a good show and Halfords voice is as great as always. Pure Heavy Metal straight from the 80ies.

    Priest is the best

by mshred on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Once again Priest proved themselves to be one of the best heavy metal acts ever! Despite their age, they still put on an amazing show and out of my 3 times seeing them live in the last few years this past show was by far the best! Halford screamed better than any other show I have seen, and the music was fast paced and right on! definatly an unforgettable show, especially since they played british steel from cover to cover....long live the priest!

    Priest Kicks Ass!!

by TheSSman on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

While quite underwhelmed by the performance of Whitesnake, save the dueling guitars, I must say Priest rocked the house. The quiet charisma of Halford, and the rich guitar licks quickly turned a so-so crowd into screaming lunatics.... It was my first Priest show, but hopefully not my last.

    Priest Priest Priest

    by dubs8824 on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

White Snake was okay but Priest killed it...The played a few songs I haven't heard them do live before and it was even better than the last time I saw them during the Metal Masters concert!

Priest is Priest, and will always be Priest.

by Digidog on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

I am 39 and have been listening to Judas Priest since I was 8. Ok, so it is the day after the Judas Priest concert ... I am sore, overtired, my ears are ringing, and my throat feels like it has had a cheese grater in it...... Translation : I had one hell of a good time at the show ! Judas Priest shook the Molson Amphitheatre with their performance last night. As always, it was loud and well mixed and had a great light show. Rob Halford, while getting on in years still easily hits the the notes he used to. His howls and screams take me back to seeing them in the 80's. Downing, Tipton, and the boys still bash out their special brand of metal with the speed and accuracy that takes the listener on a foot stomping, fist pumping, head thrashing power trip to heavy metal bliss. Not one person in the Amphitheatre sat in their seats during the entire show. I think that says it all. They Rock !

    PRIEST 2009

by SAVAGE on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

There was rumor that there was next to no parking at Ontario Place because of the Indy race so we took the train into Toronto. It was approx a 45 min walk to the show from the train =/ We missed the first openning band. Whitesnake was better than expected. Priest was nothing short of AMAZING !!

    Judas priest gives Powerful performance.

by Flamesfan on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

British Steel was such an important album in the history of this genre of music. To see it performed live in it's entirety and then keep it going with classic Judas Priest was incredible. Judas priest does not just rehash all of their singles. They stem from the days where entire albums were great and they can play anything from their arsenal and bring the house down. David Coverdale of Whitesnake still has amazing vocals and this version of Whitesnake though lacking longevity with the band did a great job bringing the old classics to life. I did not see PopEvil but did hear them from a distance. The sound was great and the tunes were also good. I will be buying their album and showing up on time for their next gig,

    Living up to their metal!

by hardnheavy on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The best heavy-metal band around. Still kickin' ass! Last night they played the British Steel album and sounded like no other. Very tight, same line up and the sound was crystal clear. Not sure why Whitesnake did not sound the same as they were really the band that I most wanted to see.

    Priest is Back!!!

by dsweete on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The concert itself was outstanding. Starting on time the opening act Pop Evil did more than a credible job as the warm up. Then Whitesnake worked the crowd into a frenzy and Judas Priest blew the doors off the place by celbrating the 30 th year since the release of British Steel. The rockers both Whitesnake and Judas Priest returned to their roots and played with fire and passion. A highly recommended must see for any metal or rock fan

    whitesnake rocked, priest killed it!

by robpriest on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

I had great seats in the 200's just left of center stage, whitesnake had it nailed and tight, my first time seeing them although i had the saints and sinners lp in the 80's. As well Judas priest was fantastic! I had never seen them before but have many of their tapes and cds. They were as fresh as they were in 1979. endless string of metal masterpieces, they couldve played well on into the night. all in all ill give this show 9 out of 10 just because 10 would leave no room to pick it up a notch!!! WHEW!!!! AWESOME SHOW DUDES!!!!

    Judas Priest - Excellent

by Georgie on 2009-07-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The God of Heavy Metal - reigns supreme! I've been a Judas Priest fan for over 30 years - have seen them every time they come to Toronto and even quite a few road trips over the years, they continue to be a must see, high energy show! Robert Halfords voice, the duelling guitars of Tipton and Downing - senses overload! For those who have never been to see a Judas Priest concert - consider it a MUST! You won't be disappointed.
