    emotional show!!!!

by shakira on 2009-10-31Casino Rama - Orillia

The performance of Julio Iglesias is always fantastic. The atmosphere he can create is unic and the sensations he can take on the stage is the secret of his success.

    Julio still has it!!

by MelEMel on 2009-08-30River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

He came, he sang and women still swooned!! The show, even with the 1 and a half hour delay due to technical problems, was awesome! Julio has a great sense of humour and knows how to work the crowd. His backup singers and dancers added to the magic. A great show and well worth the wait!

    "wonderful evening of entertainment"

by FANTASTICO on 2009-07-24Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I have to say everything seemed so skeptical to me, right down to ordering my tickets on line. In the end it was so easy and delightful that I would do it all again. The night was lovely and so was Julio and his band. For starters, they had a local comedian on and was he ever so funny. Grinning from ear to ear I couldn't believe I was sitting in the theatre and savoring every minute that went by. I would recommend to everyone that an evening out to see Julio Iglesias is the beginning to a beautiful life " La Bella Vita"!

    I want my money back....

by Amitofu on 2009-07-15River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

If not counting what had happened with the sound effect systems, still, it was very disappointing. Guess I didn't know Mr.Iglesias enough that I felt just totally embarrassed with all the bad jokes he made about sexuality and about how proud he is with his women. Though he does have a beautiful voice, I will not go to his concert any more.

    Still a fan of Julio

by Monsieur on 2009-07-15Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Unfortunately the microphone was giving feedback at the begining of the concert but otherwise it was overall a great concert. Some songs were audibly much lively than others. It was as if his energy rose and fell. Julio still has a fantastic voice. The girls on the side of the stage continually did the same movements over and over which was rather irritating. The argentine tango couple that performed during the show was one of the best I have seen. My wife and I really enjoyed their dancing being dancers ourselves.

    Julio Igelsias

by Gopher on 2009-07-15River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

He wasn't very good this time. Julio didn't appear to be feeling well. I saw him in Vancouver a few years ago and he was awesome.

    joyful time

by rasputin on 2009-07-14Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

The concert was very well put together, overall it was worth it to go and a life performance of such a great musician, but I do have to say that it was unexpectedly short, it was over before I knew it.

    Personable and Comfortable

by Nellie on 2009-07-14Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Julio was exactly was we expected him to be. Very personable with the audience, it was a very comfortable environment. He was funny, engaging, lovely to look at and he sounded the same as he always has. It was as if he hadn't aged at all.

    Julio Iglesias was disappointing!

by Extremelydissillusioned on 2009-07-14River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

I had been to see Julio Iglesias twice in previous years and his concerts have always been fantastic. This time I was extremely disappointed not only by the venue but by his performance as well. I understand the artist is much older now and may not have the performance stamina he used to but to pay $130 per ticket for a little over an hour show is astounding!!! Total 1 hour 10 min. including an encore. To start, there was a 45 minute delay due to sound/technical problems at the River Rock Show Theatre! A River Rock representative came on stage to explain the situation and advised they had to get a replacement part from their sister resort in Coquitlam - having someone drive like a maniac to get it there for the show. You'd think they'd have spares on hand!! While waiting for the technical issues to be resolved, this same rep offered the audience a choice to stay or get refunded. We chose to stay as we are fans of the artist. He then offered tickets to other shows as consolation prizes but you had to answer a skill-testing question. Not a problem - although we won tickets to an artist who is well before our time. I guess we won't be using those ones. Once the show was ready to start a local comedian came on as the first act. He was okay but I'm not discussing his performance. Then it was time for Julio. He comes on stage - now an hour late - and appears to be very weak in the knees almost stumbling onto the stage. Now after such a long delay I wouldn't be surprised if some "embibing" took place back stage but whatever it was sure affected his performance. He mumbled his words as he sang, performed mainly his spanish songs and very few of his english songs and not necessarily his most popular ones. He had his back-up singers entertain us with their individual solo dances rather than him entertain us himself. I must say though, he was pretty funny during his sit-down segments between songs. Before you knew it, he bid us his goodbyes...then came back for a brief encore and was off stage for good. His whole performance lasted only an hour and 10 mins. max. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I don't often go to concerts because I find them outrageously expensive but did so this time because I was such a fan of his music. Although I am still a fan, it appears that I'll have to resort to listening to his past albums and remembering his previous performances to keep the good feelings of Julio alive.

    Too short !!!!

by Joanna on 2009-07-14River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

I enjoyed the show. Unfortunately, because of technical difficulties, this show started 45 minutes late. Julio was fantastic. I found this show to be too short (only one hour long). I was expecting at least 2 hours for the price I paid for the ticket and the time I travelled to the theater.

Julio Igelsias not worth the money

by flynn1998 on 2009-07-13Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

The performance was extremely disappointing. It was definitely not worth the $100+ per ticket. Julio did NOT deliver. He only performed for one hour, sang mostly in Spanish (definitely NOT enough English classics, like Moonlight Lady) and had very, very low energy. He kept his eyes closed most of the evening. Was not very sociable with the crowd. He could have been sick, but if he was, then it is his DUTY to inform his audience "I'm not feeling too well tonight, but I'm going to do my best. Just in case you're wondering why I seem to not have much energy" or something to that effect. When a person is not transparent, people are left wondering "what is going on?" and can only speculate. In sum, we were very, very disappointed, and will not be going to see him again. Oh, and his opening act is just atrocious. If you're going to use a comedian, then hire someone who's actually FUNNY. Or better yet, maybe just have a bunch of dancers or acrobats or something. That would have been much better.

Julio was as I remember him

by Flute on 2009-07-13River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

In spite the hour long wait due to the technical problem, Julio Iglesias saved the evening. His performance was professional, his interaction with the audience was great and his singing touched the soul. Excellent choice for a show. Loved his background singers and dancers, the tango couple and the great musicians.

    JULIO IGLESIAS: A WONDERFUL EVENING.

by CAPRI on 2009-07-13Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Took my mom as a retirement gift to see Julio Iglesias. She loved it. I probably would not have seen him otherwise, however, much to my delight I had a great time. The tango dancers he had as part of his show were fantastic!
