Rick Mercer couldāve been longer and the first female comedian was a little inappropriate.
We loved every second of this hilarious show, especially Rick Mercer for his on target quips and Ivan Decker for his very funny life experiences. So good to get out and have a great laugh after so much time not being able to attend any live shows. Thanks so much for a great evening!
This was such a great First event out. Everyone was very respectful and the comedy was so awesome!
It was wonderful to see Rick Mercer. We didnāt realize that he was going to MC the event and not perform as much. We really enjoyed Ivan Decker as well. The first half comedians were not as strong.
The show started late, there was nothing on the stage to make it special, I felt like it ended to quickly as well. The whole thing including intermission ran under two hours. Iām not gonna lie Iām disappointed. It was nice to sit with an audience and laugh again though. Iāll give it a three out of five.
We so appreciated the show, especially after covid. It was hilarious without resorting to bad language or awkward humor. We came to see Rick Mercer, but all of the comedians were great.
Awesome comedy show , all acts were great, sound was fantastic. Only pet peeve was line up at the con session stand. Pretty slow, people ordering mixed drinks and limited staff. Would do it again for sure.
Rick Mercer was awesome as always! Really enjoyed seeing him! Dave and Eman weāre both totally hilarious and I really enjoyed both of them! Ivan, sorry to say, not really funny or āground breakingā definitely didnāt bring anything new to the table and he literally had two years to write new material. I feel like microwave jokes resonated w the Boomers but that was about it. Wouldnāt pay to see him again!
I enjoyed all the comedians, but none more than Rick Mercer. I did notice the majority of the audience were 55+ which may explain why my children had never heard of him. Nevertheless, it was my first time seeing Ivan Decker and he is hilarious. Thanks for the laughs & great show!
It was a very enjoyable show- great comedians, and Rick Mercer best of all!
Two of the four comedians were quite funny. The third one was edgy but the fourth just seemed depressed. Some people wore masks but it was still an uncomfortable experience as it was so full and many people werenāt.
We thoroughly enjoyed our comedy night. Rick was great as always and we really enjoyed Ivan Deck also. The other 2 were good as well.
I donāt really care about the day to day life of lesbians or a comedianās ability to cuss - thatās not funny. Good comedy and skill is being able to Illuminate human foibles and be a relatable storyteller. Rick Mercer and #3 were really good #2 mostly good but can loose the f-bomb, #1 not good.
The venue (Jubilee Auditorium) had painfully slow lines for entering into the theatre and for the concession, resulting is several people either missing out on a drink or on the show.
Loved it! Such a great relief after the last two years!??
So funny, so lighthearted! Just what we needed after a lot of missed shows and performances over the past two years! Great host, of course, and three great comics which various shticks!
Everthing was great. The Jube was roasting hot and the parking was a nightmare but that comes with the territory. We will return again. We bought balcony seats to save money. We could see and hear everything.
It was so awesome to get out of the house and laugh so hard ...I was crying. What a great event, each comedian had great material...Ivan Decker was split your gut amazing. Always a treat to hear Rick Mercer, a Canadian great.
Rick Mercer did not disappoint; heās the best. One note for the young Lebanese dude - Edmonton is a pretty progressive city most are not into abusing kids or the homeless. We have problems like most large cities due to decades of provincial defunding of mental health and addiction facilities. The seating was crowded and most people were not wearing masks at a time when even the vaccinated are getting COVID. We left at intermission because we felt uncomfortable. Disappointed to miss any part of the show but we both have allergies and it seemed it was a night for heavy perfumes and after shave. Never have any of these problems at Winspear. Do acknowledge capacity concerns. Thanks for asking.
