This show was amazing, I was so excited and so pleased with the result. I had so much fun, Tim Minchin made the show very personal for the audience, and unique too. I'm certain that the same things will not happen twice - it was one of a kind and I can't wait for him to come back to Toronto!
Hilarious, brilliant show. Hope he comes back soon!
all i can say is we laugh and laugh the way he acted with his jokes and one liners were great my wife says laugher is medenic for the soul and ours were clean up that night
Didn't know what to expect having not seen Tommy before. It took a while for him to warm up but he got better as the evening went along. Had me crying in laughter... If you have a little Irish in you go and see him.... you will not be disappointed! Guaranted you will laugh
We go to a minimum of 5 Just For Laughs shows each year. We always have a great time, and having seen Tommy on TV a couple of times we were expecting great things. Unfortunately, Tommy seemed to be drunk or otherwise 'out of it' for the first half of the show. There was little to no flow in his performance, so it was disappointing.
Tommy Tiernan, as always, does not disappoint. Laughed the whole night...
This is the first time I have seen Tommy live and he didn't disappoint. Throughout the hour and a half his unique humour had tears in my eyes. Having only seen him on TV I was a little surprised by the adult content (brought my 17 year old, but he can handle it). I would definetely go to see him again.
The show was amazing and he is soooo incredibly funny. Saw him last year as well and he did not disappoint then or now. Keep on coming back Tommy!
Infrequently he was hilarious... Felt he missed a couple of beats a the start.. going off on tangents of nothingness... did he forget the jokes??? I felt he was trying to hard to be the Tommy Tiernan from 10 yrs back... Thats about my 5/6 time seeing him and I think it will now by my last.. Pity
Overall the performance by Tommy was very good. We made an effort to get there for 7pm, coming from out of town, but the show did not start until 7:30pm, which is really my only criticism. The Queen Elizabeth Theatre should announce to people in the lobby that the show is about to begin.....give them a countdown as to not delay the show for others who made the effort to show up on time. Maybe flash the lights in the theatre too before turning the lights off, leaving the remaining people panicking in the dark trying to find their seats, especially while the comedian was on stage trying to start his show.
Excellent show. Tommy is one of the funniest comediens I have ever seen.
A few chuckles, but thought he was off. Kept getting lost and stopping. Not the gutteral laughing I have had in the past. Had lighting issues. Wouldn't recommend it.
