Kevin Hart is easily the funniest man alive by far
I came to this show because I'm a huge Jeffrey Ross fan, but the other comics were equally as hilarious. It was a very enjoyable, funny night. Not for those who don't like swearing & profanity!
Nothing about the nasty show was very funny. Lots of nasty... not enough laughs. I saw this show in Montreal a few years ago and it was so much better. Second rate comedy acts.
Show was awesome. Don't worry about being in the front row, Ross only picked on the people who were late.
One of my favourite comics of late, he had the crowd laughing from start to finish. Having seen his 2 comedy specials, seeing him live was a huge treat.
The show was definitely worth the money. We were laughing from beginning to end...there were no dull moments and i would see the show again. Kevin Hart is the man!
The opening acts were excellent, great stage presence. Kevin’s joke were all original and so funny. I love his openness and willingness to share his life and his suffering with a humorous twist. The fact is we can all relate and it makes him so much more interesting than a standard comedian. I am waiting not so patiently for the next show to come to Toronto.
hilarious start to finish. go to the bathroom before the show starts
All new material, all excellent. I can't wait for him to come back!!!!!!!! Kevin Hart was on point with all his jokes. The MC and opening acts were hilarious!!!! Worth every penny and more.
Laughed so much throughout the show, he's a true talent. Can't wait to see him again when he comes to Toronto.
The show was OK at best. His opening acts were decent. His act was, well, whatever. The material was new, but not as hilarious as his older humor.
I saw the Australian comedic singer/ pianist do his thing at the winter garden theater last week. he was great! He does seem to have a dark sense of humor but I have been a fan for a long time now. The theater itself was magnificent with autumn leaves covering the ceiling, the venue felt classy and intimate. Despite the fact that Tim may have crossed some lines, with all his talk of religion and ethics, he kept the whole audience howling. I am so glad I went!
Travelled 1000 miles for this show and it was worth every cent. The Winter Garden itself is worth seeing - an elaborate, over-the-top restored vaudeville theatre. Minchin was incredible. I laughed for two hours, until a sentimental (for Tim) number in the first encore got me feeling misty. Funny, edgy, smart entertainment.
Minchin brought out a number of the favourites I knew from his YouTube channel, but also included a number of new pieces. He is an incredible performer, bantering with the audience naturally without resorting to the "pick on the one audience member int he front row and pretend he's clueless to make my jokes seem funnier" shtick. The venue was awesome, and I laughed a lot.
LOVED IT! Start to finish Tim Minchin was funny, witty, entertaining and an overall great performer.
Minchin's show is mostly comedy and he does not pretend to make it anything else beyond good musical (and a bit of stand-up) comedy. But the themes he uses can be taken seriously if given a moment's thought. He exploits the three R's with wit and enthusiasm: religion, racism and rationality. Singing or commenting against the former two and in favour of the latter. Just brilliant!
Warning - this skeptical atheist does not pull his punches. His piano playing is brilliant, he is very funny, and his skepticism is right on, but his take on religion is way over the top. If you have a religious bone in your body, you will find his material offensive. There are many smart, skeptical people who are also religious. I am not one of them, but my companion at the concert was. She was very offended by some of the material, and unfortunately it ruined the show for me also. At his best, Tim's lyrics are scorchingly clever. At his worst, they are unecessarily crude and inflammatory. Jerry Seinfeld was funny without needing to resort to offensive language to make his points - it is possible.
Tim Minchin was absolutely sparkling during his 2 hour show which showcased a lot of his older material, such as Dark Side and Rock and Roll Nerd, as well as some new material. Tim interacts with the crowd during his performances making you feel as if you were really a part of the show. Truly a clever and witty performer. A must see if you enjoy a fantastic comedian and gifted musician!
We had a great time at Tim's show. He is highly talented and super funny. It was a great night out... It was well worth the wait for his visit to Toronto, I hope to do this again.
A glorious, thought-provoking and very funny night out.
