About

Katy Perry is a globally renowned pop artist and 13-time Grammy nominee. She began her music career as a gospel singer before making her pop debut in 2008 with One of the Boys. The album peaked in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and spawned Perry’s first No. 1 hit with the Grammy-nominated "I Kissed a Girl." Perry quickly skyrocketed to pop icon status, achieving unprecedented success with her 2010 album Teenage Dream, which hit No. 1 and earned a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. The album also produced five consecutive No. 1 singles with “California Gurls” (featuring Snoop Dogg), “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.” (featuring Kanye West) and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).” In 2017, Perry made history by becoming the first artist to earn three RIAA Diamond Song Awards for “Firework,” “Dark Horse” and “Roar.” Perry now has seven diamond-certified titles. Her distinctive style, blending provocative lyrics with catchy pop melodies, has made her one of the best-selling music artists in history, with over 70 million albums sold worldwide. Beyond music, Perry has expanded her career into television, serving as a judge on “American Idol,” released her own fragrance with Killer Queen and was the subject of the 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me. In 2024, Perry released her seventh studio album, 143, which features the lead single “WOMAN’S WORLD."

  • Katy Perry Delivered a Fabulous Show!

by MyBoysRock on 2011-07-16MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

This young girl put on a show that kept everybody on their toes! The energy in the MTS Centre was unbelieveable, her crowd-participation was exciting and nobody left feeling like there was anything missing (excpet another show maybe!). Absolutely fun to witness and one of the best stage shows I have ever seen. She did a fabulous show!

  • Fantastic

Katy Perry put on the most entertaining concert I have ever seen. Her stage was bright and colorfull. The costume changes were great. The dancing, the surprises she had and her singing was wonderful. I can't say enough about this concert. I have been to alot and I am sure I have never seen a concert as entertaining as she put on. Katy Perry is a real Pro.

  • Katy's concert was super fun !

Janelle (Opening Act) had a Bruno Mars vibe. Like a modern 60's sound. Katy had a nice Candyland stage design except for the pork chop and sausage props. That was weird. Energetic talented dancers. Katy looked real good and sounded good live. Was like 10 feet away from the stage. Fun finale. Would definitely watch her show again in the future.

So amazing from start to finish! I loved how she told a continuing story tying everything together. Best concert ever.

Have been to a ton of shows and Katy Perry was one of THE best. Very interactive and funny with the crowd and she has a ton of hits to get everyone moving :) This show had everything. Lights, costumes, great songs, storyline, crowd interaction and a confetti blaster! Not one boring minute, even when the dancers had their moment during costume changes... Very fun show, highly recommended... if you can get tickets haha!

I went with my 10 year old daughter and we both absolutely loved Katy Perry's show. She is amazing, such a fantastic performer/singer. The show was fun and so entertaining it is a must see for everyone.

  • Katy Perry delivered!

Fantastic concert... not just the music but the entire performance. Katy always kept the audience entertained and personalized things too. She played all of her hits and the best part - she sounds exactly like she does off her albums. Definitely worth the ticket price - which was affordable considering the cost of most concerts these days.

I saw Katy Perry a few years ago at Warped tour in Saskatoon and she was great then, but this time she was amazing, I loved the way that her concert told a story and her set was awesome!

  • Katy Perry was AMAZING

My daughter and neices have not stopped talking about this concert. The sound and stage presence was unbelievable. The five video screens, seven dancers, five musicians, two backup singers, laser lighting, bubbles and fireworks definately kept the audience's attention. Everyone was amazed at vast array of wardrobe changes - I believe there were 11 in total! She hit all the notes and really involved the audience ... it definately was a concert to remember!

  • Katy Perry a talented performer

by Justmom on 2011-07-15Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

Katy Perry has the pipes. She is beautiful. She seems to be genuinely into giving her audience a great performance. While most music these days does have alot of sexual and suggestive lyrics, I do find it unfortunate that someone of her vocal talent has to resort to such vulgar lyrics in some of her songs and blatantly sexual gestures in her and her dancers' actions. For me with my kids there, I just thought that racy and suggestive would be better than obvious and blunt. Maybe that's part of why she has such a following, but I thought it detracted from the overall good experience.

  • I Saw Katy Perry and I Liked It

by Saucydragonfly on 2011-07-15Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

Katy delivered a great show - the stage was cool, the entire production was very much worth the value of my reasonably priced ticket. So many costume changes, dancers, and things going on during the show that kept it exciting and interactive. From the start, she was posting tweets and sharing Facebook pictures on giant screens for the crowd... it's also worth checking out her Facebook and Twitter feed beforehand if you're a big fan - chances to win seat upgrades are available. Katy really delivered, in spite of the fact this was her first show back after food poisoning. From the moment she took the stage she was a whirling dirvish of singing, dancing and was almost the ringmaster of a three ring circus! Her costume changes (at one point I think there were six or seven in one song) were mind-blowing and left the crowd wondering "how did she do that?", plus she managed to keep it intimate and she slowed it down a couple of times. Katy thrilled a few of her younger fans by inviting them up to dance with her on stage near the end of the show. We were sitting where one of her reps came to ask a few random kids to come up and he gave them wristbands - they were thrilled and it was pretty cool! It seemed like she really wanted to give everyone a good show. There was plenty of visible marketing for Virgin Mobile around the venue but their reps were friendly and there were a couple of games to play and places to pose for pictures with giant candy and cupcakes. The lineups for this were not too bad considering chances to win Virgin cell phones and a trip to see Katy in California. The merchandise was great; besides the standard selection of tees and hoodies there were rings, purses, chap stick, posters and even underwear! The only complaints I have about merch was there were only three stations, only one card processor at each station so the lines moved super slow and they sold out of most tees quickly. It would be a good idea to order from the Katy Perry website beforehand and wear your stuff to the concert! I would recommend seeing Katy Perry in concert and would definitely see her again! I traveled to see her this time and my hope is that she would visit my city (a bigger place actually) but I suspect that since Virgin mobile has no coverage here that's what kept her away.

  • Katy was PHENOMENAL

The Katy Perry show was fun-filled and funny..! It wasn't as much about the music as other concerts I've been to, but it was cool to see all the special effects and costume changes she had..! :) The video (story) was kinda fun at the beginning, but seemed to drag on a bit...but we really liked how she covered other songs as well as her own..! All in all a good show! :)

  • I WANT TO MOVE TO KANDYFORNA!

by Daevyd on 2011-07-07Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most amazing show I've ever seen. Her openers: Marina and the Diamonds and DJ SKEET SKEET were amazing. Marina gave me goosebumps her whole set. Katy's presence and personality were worth the ticket price, let alone her killer vocals and dance moves. It seemed almost like a musical but with lasers, videos, fireworks, smoke bubbles and much much more. She is a true performer, an interesting person and a talented musician. She put not just a performance, not just a concert but a spectacle. Amazing work. Respect is deserved for this talent.

  • Katy didn't disappoint

by MaritimeFan on 2011-07-07TD Garden - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

Although a bit fluffy at times, and a bit silly (i.e. giant kitty), it was a fabulous show! Very elaborate (i.e. indoor fireworks) and very entertaining! From the great music to the enticing stage show, we were enthralled!! We wouldn't hesitate to go again!!

  • AMAZING! YUMMY!

by peperminttwist on 2011-07-05Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Katy Perry's June 30th concert at ACC was AMAZING! So much fun wiht all the colourful stage props, Ms. Cotton Candy Cloud, all her costume changes, the dancers where super, and all and all it was just simply a great time. I though it was great how she interacted with the fan during the whole show. At the end you could not help but get up and dance and wish you had a blue wig on eatting a cupcake. Well I did.
