    Katy Perry -Spectacular!

by Pinkest on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The concert was totally awesome. The two bands that preformed before her added depth and excitement to the venue making it enjoyable for a variety of different groups in the audience. Her costumes, dance moves and personal comments made the concert meaningful and unique! She even trusted the audience to jump into the crowd-what a gutsy move!! Her show was dynamic and full of energy! We would certain;ly go again and recommend it to all. I went with my 16 & 18 year old sons and there was something there for all of us. Great experience was had by all!

    Katy Perry!!!

by wildepeaches on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

This gal is a powerhouse! Never a dull moment, it seems like she really just loves being on stage, being with people, loves, being loved!!! I felt like I was in alice and wonderland or a barbie playhouse with the costumes and stage set up, but it seems her talent matches if not exceeds her imagination, I enjoyed every second of it. She's an absolute bombshell, totally gorgeous AND she knows how to put on a show!

    Katie: What a cutie

by Zeari on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Katie put on a good show. She's got a high level of energy and is a real cutie. I liked her interaction with the audience especially. She had two good opening acts (New Cities and Stereos). Can't say it was a memorable concert but okay.

Katy Perry is the coolest chick EVER!

by BrittyGirl on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

I thought this was a fabulous show! There were a lot of underage kids, but that is understandable due to the opening acts. I was not too impressed with The New Cities and Stereos but that is based on the fact that I am not a 17 year old girl! I thought Katy Perry put on a really great show, though! She was very personable with the crowd, humerous and showcased her talent incredibly well. Even though we were rained on for a bit towards the end, it did not take away from the show at all!

Hot pink. Hot show. Hot Katy Perry.

by AvaB on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Though we may never be able to pinpoint the transition to from gospel singer to male (and female) friendly pop sensation, the Queen influence that launched her to the top of Canadian music charts shone through at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto last night for a hell of rock show-with lots of girly sass. Pink flamingoes. Leopard skin outfits. Kitty cats. High energy. And cherry chapstick. Katy Perry rocked the house last night to packed crowd of teeny boppers, their moms and the lucky dads and boyfriends who were happily dragged along. MEOW!!

    Meh

by Lucie on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

All and all, a bit of a let down. The first band was not very good. It didn't help that it was pouring rain. The stereos were ok, but the guy they kept bringing on stage was a tool. I have no clue who he was, all they did was say his name and assume we knew who he was. Katy Perry's singing was great, but there seemed to be a lot of filler. More singing, less talking would be good.

    Hello Katy Toronto

by FatherFigure on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The break before Katy finally entered the stage was 20+ minutes long. Opening acts were excellent and showed lots of excitement and energy before the main act. The overall concert 7:00-10:20 pm. Katy Perry sang for 60 minutes and each act was 45 min. with 5-10 minute intermissions. Katy Perry had an excellent signing voice, unfortunately, little theatratics and emotion. They shone a white strobe light across the audience, giant neon flashing heart on the stage and introduced a giant cat head at the end. Flashing stage lights used in the earlier acts were rarely used in her concert. She spoke a lot between songs without any real direction or meaning. Overall the concert was for the little kids and teenagers who came out so see her sing.

Katy Perry's show was worth seeing!

by Magggie on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Katy Perry delivers an entertaining show. She has great energy and delivers an awesome performance. The price was right to bring the kids and all fully enjoyed it. The only glitch was the $20 cash grab for parking when parking at Ontario place should only have been $12. It's stunts like this that make me not want to go to concerts. Just on principle. But Katy Perry is worth seeing.

    Katy Perry @ the Amphitheatre

by HollyS on 2009-07-27Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

So Katy Perry is totally adorable! She was fun and a great preformer to watch. These were the downsides: 1. It was raining before the concert started so my seats which were not covered by the shelter were soaked (why they constructed the place like that I don't know!) 2. The bands that played before Katy, played what seemed like EVERY song they have! I had to sit thru 2 hours of teenie bopper music! 3. I expected a costume change or some lights and pizaz for her Waking up in Vegas song which there was not. Just her singing in the same costume she wore the whole show. So regardless of my butt wet, it was still a great show. She can really sing! I would go see her again. Especially for the pizza pizza deal of $11/ticket!
