KENNY LOGGINS IN CONCERT:
Soft rock superstar Kenny Loggins may be known as the "King of the Movie Soundtrack" for his legendary film contributions during the '80s, but he performs today like he's still climbing the heap ā full of energy and vitality. Like good cinema, Loggins' familiar croon has the power to move fans through a range of emotions, a skill he employs expertly in his career-spanning concerts.Ā With recent forays into country and children's music, Loggins continues to breathe new life into his music, underscoring a vitality that will follow him on the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
A maestro of soft rock, Everett, WA-born, California-raised Kenny Loggins came up in the Southern California high school rock scene. He got his start writing songs for other local bands, eventually forming his own group Loggins and Messina. As the duo's success waxed in the late ā70s, they were rivaled only by Hall and Oates in critical accolades, fan popularity, and commercial performance. By the early '80s Loggins grew into his own as a solo artist and producer with hits like "What a Fool Believes" and "This is It." Loggins also became a go-to artist for soundtracks, most famously for "I'm Alright" in Caddyshack, the title song for Footloose, andĀ "Danger Zone" and "Playing With the Boys" in Top Gun. The singer-songwriter stayed busy in the following years, releasingĀ a handful of albums of childrenās music in addition to soft rock.Ā
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Kenny is the only artist I can remember giving three encores. Kenny was great, his band was great. I walked away totally impressed."
"Great show with a good pace. Covered his full spectrum of music. Well done!"
"I have been waiting to see this amazing artist for many years! Finally my dream came true. It was worth the wait, Kenny you rocked it, thank you!"
What a great evening of music, storytelling, and videos. Would certainly attend another Kenny Loggins concert.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thanks Kenny for a great legacy of songs!
Excellent performance, harmonies, sound. A wonderful finale from Kenny
Loved hearing the old songs & really enjoyed Kenny's storytelling. It gave meaning to the songs. His back up guitarist & singers were fabulous & so talented. Thrilled that he ended with Footloose & Danger Zone. The venue was great, terrific views, big screens & comfy seating
Kenny Loggins is really good! Solid voice, great performance! Wish there is a repeat! Will definitely watch again! Cheers to Kenny Lš„³
Vocals and band were amazing... Kenny does an intro to each song which was really nice. He can still hit those high notes!! Great venue & sound. The VIP package was crap.. not the venue's fault, but terrible. Paid a lot of extra $$ for a cheap tote bag and early access to the mech booth.
Great venue and Kenny still can hit those wonderful notes.
Best venueā. Kenny delivered and we all had an amazing time at the concert
It was one of the best shows I've been to really good to see Kenny in action again and the crowd was electric too
Kenny was warm and friendly and funny. His voice is beautiful. And such a legacy of songs. I forgot how many he has written for himself and others. I love the stories behind the songs. His band is so skilled as both musicians And singers. We loved the show. Iām sad heās done with touring. I wish Iād seen him before and actually might go see him on his final tour again in another city if I can. Iāve enjoyed seeing and hearing a wonderful artist Iāve always listened to but never seen first hand.
This was my first time seeing Kenny Loggins concert and I had amazing time!! š
Show was awesome as expected . Ushers at falls view are very attentive and helpful. The people I sat around were all from the states and were soooo nice ! It was a great evening all around
Loggins is a blend of art, story and humility...his team is so tight...
Kenny was absolutely amazing. The venue to see a concert at OLG Niagara is fantastic also. We had a blast!!
Still in fine form at 75, Kenny Loggins has the voice and songs that define a generation! Accompanied by an awesome band, he played a great variety of his hits (and a few lesser known songs) - definitely a great time and a great venue (comfortable and generously sized seats, good views from all areas of the theatre, and well-balanced and levelled sound). I'm so glad I got to see him on his final tour!
The show was everything I was looking forward to and more, and I had never been to that venue before, but will definitely check for other concerts there now!
Kenny Loggins was amazing. Incredible performance, still sounds like he did in the 80s. Played all the favorites. Actually shook hands with people by the stage and gave autographs.
Communicated both in speech and music. Explained the story behind each great song. One of the best songwriters that can also sing and play guitar.
Been a KL fan since the 80s but had never seen him live. Knock this one off the bucket list! Great night of flawless music intermixed with Kenny's personality and storytelling. Band was tight and the new arrangements of some of his top hits were spectacular. And two encores! A perfect night.
Kenny Loggins was a good story teller to start the show. Communicated well and started with some of his milder hits such as Return to Pooh Corner. From after about the third song he started rocking with his best hits right until the end of the show. The band was okay. Missed Chris Rodriguez though. Kenny was as good as ever and the show was as good as it gets. I would see his shows over and over again if I could. Thank you Kenny Loggins!!!
