KID ROCK IN CONCERT:
There are mere performers, and then there's Kid Rock. Primarily known for his bad boy image and rap-rock stylings, the veteran performer often surprises new fans with his unexpected musicianship in concert. Having expanded his repertoire to include gospel and soul with 2012's Rebel Soul, he now treats fans to a more dynamic show than ever, and his upcoming tour dates are sure to be no exception.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Growing up in suburban Detroit, Kid Rock was interested in rap and breakdancing from an early age, joining a crew and teaching himself to DJ in his teens. As a hip hop performer, he released five albums between 1990 and 1997 before signing with Atlantic Records in 1998. He then began fusing rap with rock, becoming one of rap-rock's pioneers with hits like "Bawitdaba" and "Only God Knows Why." Not content to stay within expected boundaries, Rock's follow-up records became more rock, country, and blues-oriented starting with 2001's Cocky and peaking with 2007's Rock n Roll Jesus -- an album that featured the No. 1 single "All Summer Long." A consummate showman with an ever-growing catalog of hits, Kid Rock's continued presence on tour is a cause for celebration among fans both new and old.

This year's show had a bit less hip hop and more rock, soul, blues and country, which is the stuff I prefer, but I'll take it all. He is a master at weaving well known riffs into his sets and really blurrs the lines between so many different types of music, clearly expressing his love for all. I think he really appreciates his audiences and I love that he is a relentless unapologetic self promoter. Good on him.......... Awesome show, I will see him again next year!

I saw him last summer and thought he really knew how to put on a show --- but this summer's concert was just as amazing and full of energy, if not more so! There wasn't one minute of down time during the entire concert and Kid Rock is a master at fueling the energy in the crowd and amping it up! I can't wait for him to come back to Toronto!!!

Thornely put on an awesome show, even when a spider visited the front man! And the The Kid hit the stage! What a fantastic entertainer. The crowd was wild! Kid Rock has so much energy and drive! We drove 3 hours to attend and are glad we did!

The sound was fabulous and he worked hard on stage to entertain us. He calls himself 'american badass' and then he proves that he truly is, playing everything but the saxaphone on his stage he is a great entertainer and I will see him any chance I can.

Right from the 1st beat it was a high energy show. We rocked and danced on our feet during the whole show. He played his new stuff and his some old classics as well mixed in with a few borrowed numbers that made this one of the most entertaining and energetic show that I have ever seen. There were serious moments, fun moments and even some good humoured silly moments!!! Overall it was an amazing show!

by Batch on 2009-09-05Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoThis was by far one of the best concerts i've ever seen, no taped BS just straight good ol' fashioned rock n roll mixed with country, hip hop, r&b and just about everything else you could through into a rock venue. high energy, explosive show keeps you rockin' even long after the lights go out. I would recommend this show to everyone, and i'll tell you one more little tid bit, the two people sitting three seats over from me where in the mid to late seventys and yes they rocked out just as hard as the twenty somethings.

He put on a fantastic show - very interactive. Great crowd! I would certainly see him again!!! I fully recommend seeing him live!!!
