Kid did rock...and boogie...and rap...and gospel!
by Kentski on 2009-09-05Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoGreat colossal rock show, way more than I expected, this guy knows how to make a connection with the audience from song one through to the encore. Surprisingly diverse show, with great mid-song transitions into gems like GNR's Paradise City and Sly and the Family Stone's Everyday People. Kid Rock seems to genuinely appreciate the audience and does everything to make it a big rock show and party for everyone. One of those shows when you're standing the whole time and you don't mind at all. I'll be buying a ticket when he comes back. Nice surprise was opening act Thornley, who were given a decent stage, lighting and sound (which many headliners don't do), and the band rocked hard and tight through a 'best of' Big Wreck and Thornley songs, including That Song and Blown Wide Open.
