About

KID ROCK IN CONCERT:

There are mere performers, and then there's Kid Rock. Primarily known for his bad boy image and rap-rock stylings, the veteran performer often surprises new fans with his unexpected musicianship in concert. Having expanded his repertoire to include gospel and soul with 2012's Rebel Soul, he now treats fans to a more dynamic show than ever, and his upcoming tour dates are sure to be no exception.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Growing up in suburban Detroit, Kid Rock was interested in rap and breakdancing from an early age, joining a crew and teaching himself to DJ in his teens. As a hip hop performer, he released five albums between 1990 and 1997 before signing with Atlantic Records in 1998. He then began fusing rap with rock, becoming one of rap-rock's pioneers with hits like "Bawitdaba" and "Only God Knows Why." Not content to stay within expected boundaries, Rock's follow-up records became more rock, country, and blues-oriented starting with 2001's Cocky and peaking with 2007's Rock n Roll Jesus -- an album that featured the No. 1 single "All Summer Long." A consummate showman with an ever-growing catalog of hits, Kid Rock's continued presence on tour is a cause for celebration among fans both new and old.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"The energy was incredible. When he played cowboy, the crowd went nuts, and the vibe was insane! He paused mid-song, and the crowd went crazy for like 5 whole minutes."

"Kid Rock always puts on a great show and this was no exception! He is such an awesome entertainer and his shows always ROCK!"

"I had never seen Kid Rock and I was really impressed. He was more talented than I thought. He played, country, blues, hip hop and rock. I really like how many people he had in has band. He is really cool."

  • Kid did rock...and boogie...and rap...and gospel!

by Kentski on 2009-09-05Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great colossal rock show, way more than I expected, this guy knows how to make a connection with the audience from song one through to the encore. Surprisingly diverse show, with great mid-song transitions into gems like GNR's Paradise City and Sly and the Family Stone's Everyday People. Kid Rock seems to genuinely appreciate the audience and does everything to make it a big rock show and party for everyone. One of those shows when you're standing the whole time and you don't mind at all. I'll be buying a ticket when he comes back. Nice surprise was opening act Thornley, who were given a decent stage, lighting and sound (which many headliners don't do), and the band rocked hard and tight through a 'best of' Big Wreck and Thornley songs, including That Song and Blown Wide Open.

  • KID ROCK

Kid Rock at the Molson Amphitheatre was a blast! He rocks and puts on an energizing show! Multi-talented...does it all....rock, rap, country with a twist! He includes the audience in his performance!

  • Kid puts one heck of a show!

    by Gibson72 on 2009-09-05Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Wow. Well he sure knows how to entertain. Knowing what his audience came for-sex, drugs & Rock and Roll, he sure gave it all. Playing all the songs people wanted to hear. Backed by a strong band of mixed performers, and making sure everyone had a good time. Opening with the riff from Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and then busting into Rock n' Roll Jesus. He never semmed to slow down & kept a strong pace to the show. He recognized that the ecomony isn't great and made sure people wouldn't forget where he came from.

  • Kid Rock kicks ass again

by KRfan on 2009-09-05Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second time seeing Kid Rock in concert and he certainly did not disappoint. I have never been to a concert where the artist is so unbelievably talented. He actually sounds incredible live! He involves the audience so much that you don't even want to blink for fear of missing something. He played for an hour and a half straight...... definitely got my money's worth in entertainment. I can't wait to see him again!!!!!!!!!!!

Kid Rock was good, just good. I have seen him before, in Chicago about three years ago. He was just incredible back then! I dont know if he is older now, or he has been touring too much, but definately not the same energy.
