Great Experience
by Mike H on 2019-09-24Budweiser Stage - TorontoThis was one of my favourite concerts ever and believe me I am not one for hyperbole. Unsurpassed musicianship. The set list spanned the 50 year repertoire of King Crimson and seemed to satisfy everyone. I don’t see how it could not. The use of 3 drummers was masterful. They played in unison, they played off each other and they each contributed the own unique sound from their individual drum kits that resonated deeply. Tony Levin was masterful and provided a huge stage presence. Robert Fripp was zeroed in on the music, using a watchful eye to study and connect with his band mates. The band came across somewhat like a jazz ensemble but it was high energy wicked rock music. They were able to add in captivating mood changes as well. Islands, for example, was absolutely mesmerizing. I can go on but I think this gives my picture of the evening. Highly Recommended!
