King's Plate Tickets

First, it cost me $40 a ticket to get into the event, then they charged me $12 for a beer. I wanted to purchase a programme and the sign said that there were $2.50, but the lady selling them said that they were actually $5.00, double the advertised cost. I placed my wager on the first race and my horse won. When I attended the wicket to claim my prize money, I was informed that the ticket agent had placed my wager on a horse in the 10th race and not the first race, as I had requested, so I didn't win after all. When the manager attended to explain the situation, I was told that it wasn't his staff's fault for the error; it was mine for not checking the ticket for accuracy. This was the second time we attended the Queen's Plate and our last.

What an experience, first time ever my family and I attended and we have noting negative to say. The concerts were great, horse races were exciting and so much more something you most definitely have to experience for yourself.

The horses were exciting, the bands were amazing, and the food was great!!! Who could ask for anything more? A great way to spend a summer day and great for people of all ages.

The event, inside and outside the venue, was well set up, with drinks, food, seats, shade and music. People were friendly and helpful.

When I bought the tickets I assumed that the concert would be during the day and that I would be able to watch from my purchased seat. Disappointed to learn that it was scheduled for 6pm and outside the stadium for standing room only. With first post at 12 noon, that was much later than I was expecting to stay. Outdoor seating in the stands was dirty. Had to get napkins and water and clean them of dust and bird droppings. For $50 per seat, would have appreciated clean seats or someone with disinfectant to clean them.

The whole day was great, lots to see and do with outside vendors lots of wine to taste and the food trucks were great! Only one disappointment every vendor ran out of water by 7pm woodbine needs to order more next year!

The queens plate was a great time and my family friend won with his bet!

This rivals the Derby !!! We had such a great time ... we plan to make it an annual event ! Bravo Toronto for stepping up the wardrobe ... a sea of Hats ! LOVED IT !

What a beautiful day it was on Sunday. Everyone dressed up and having a great time at Woodbine. We thoroughly enjoyed the concert which was the main reason for our visit. My daughter and I have been to see Hedley over 20 times and they NEVER disappoint. Great show again boys.!!!

Hedley was awesome as usual. His energy and love for his audience is why a 50 plus woman and her little girl love watching Hedley. He goes across the generations. We went to the Queen's Plate and really enjoyed the horse racing but the real reason was to see Hedley. Thanks for the memories.

General admission first come basis to get a space on the bleacher.....I have always sat inside....it was a scorcher we hadn't brought a hat thinking we were inside because the ticket had a section and seat...so that was deceiving.....there needs to be triple the amount of bleachers and there is space...the day cost us a lot with extras food drinks betting and I would not attend again....or would attend later in the afternoon...and stay for the big race and concert...we left at the fifth race...there are elderly attending some came from out of town...and we shared our seat with a fella who had a sore knee and was elderly....my uncle was a jockey and trainer at woodbine and I love the races but this was a negative experience for me...Woodbine needs to smarten up and bring some class into the place even general admission deserve to sit....

Excellent day. Great entertainment with horse racing, bands , fashion and concerts. Put the. Queens Plate on your calendar for 2017. Don't miss the fun!

The Queens Plate was great. The only negative thing I can say is food was really expensive and the lines were way too long to get the food. Dressing up and wearing the funky hats was fun for every one. The Hedley concert was fantastic!!!
