    Guetta won't be 'forgetta'

    by robbiets2000 on 2009-09-08The Guvernment - Toronto

Armin van Buuren and David Guetta trumped last year's Labour of Love somehow. This time and occasion, van Buuren played the part of opener, an anti-climax, if you will for Guetta. During Guetta's unforgettable set, the energy was abundantly clear throughout the masses as fluorescent glowsticks, LED cellphones and lasers painted the room. His commercial tracks were sharply cut and the pure sound was pulsating through the complex with authority. Everyone seemed to be in a good place and in the Guvernment was a good place to be.

    this is david guetta

by emizz on 2009-09-07The Guvernment - Toronto

My second time at Guv did not feel different at all. Although there were hundreds of ravers crammed into the main room when Guetta came on, the conducting of his music made everyone dance in a state of trance. When you know people in the room are connected as one through the music, that's when you know its GOOD music. It was very easy to get in to Guv; we went at around 10 - 10:30 and thank god for that because the line was still short. Going to a huge event like this is a good break from work/school and the usual responsibilities you have. Its a perfect break to tune in just to the music where your mind and body are in sync.

by eceprincess on 2009-09-07The Guvernment - Toronto

Every year Armin van Buuren spins at Labour of Love and every year I anxiously wait for labour day to arrive. Yet again Armin played great music and the crowd was fantastic!

Armin Van Buuren lit it up!

    by Dave519 on 2009-09-07The Guvernment - Toronto

The show was absolutely phenominal, Armin van Buuren and Jerome Isma-ae stole the show, there was way too much to see and different genres of music playing all over, incredible.

    Definitely worth it

by firsttimegoer on 2009-09-07The Guvernment - Toronto

it was my first time going this year but my friends who went to LOL last year and Decadence this year, highly recommended it. The music, sound and environment was incredible. Considering how crowded it was, there was not a single fight. The only difficulty was getting from room-to-room as the hallways got blocked. I had a great time and will be going again next year for sure.

    David Guetta in T-Dot!

by Averex on 2009-09-07The Guvernment - Toronto

Guvernment on Sept 6th 2009 was alright, except Manzone & Strong played droning music for 5 and a half hours straight. When a good song would come on, they'd destroy it with the exact same hardcore beat. It was like they were trying too hard. When David Guetta came on, he was great and such a relief. David Guetta rocked it. The club was over-crowded and you were barely able to move. The crowd was pushy and aggressive. I wouldn't recommend Guvernment.

It was enjoyable, at times it was crowded. But a fun event. weaving through rooms was not that great. But overall it was a great place to be.

    Armin was Awesome!

by FortheLoveofTrance on 2009-09-07The Guvernment - Toronto

I only went for Armin, and he was GOOD!!! Music was too loud that at some points you couldn't hear the melody. Despite being crazy and crowded, it was a good and relatively safe event. Still it could have used more security staff. It would be nice if people respect the "non-smoking" policies and laws.

    So not worth it

by Infinite on 2009-09-07The Guvernment - Toronto

This was by far the most overpacked event I've been to, and I've been to some really busy ones. So many people that it was impossible to breathe. Stuck around for two and a half hours before calling the quits, out of that time about ten minutes I can say I kind of enjoyed. I was looking forward to this event and anticipated something bigger and better, with such a lineup of djs it had so much potential, music however didn't differ from any regular night at the guvernment. For me it was a great dissapointment and huge waste of sixty bucks
