About

Taking the world by storm, MAYHEM continues to dominate the charts. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking Gaga’s seventh consecutive No. 1 album. In its second week, it remains one of the biggest releases of the year, maintaining Top 2 positions across key charts including No. 2 on the Billboard 200, Digital Albums, and US LP Vinyl Albums charts. It also retains the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart and the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart for the second consecutive week—the latter of which earned Gaga her eighth career No. 1 on the tally, making her the most successful artist of all time in the chart’s history. She now stands alone with the most No. 1 albums ever on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
The fastest-selling international release of the year, MAYHEM debuted at No. 1 in 12 countries, including the U.S., UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, and South Korea, and landed at No. 2 in the Netherlands and Sweden—further cementing Gaga’s global dominance. “Abracadabra” entered the UK Singles Chart at No. 3 and the UK Airplay Chart at No. 2, while in France, MAYHEM posted the biggest first-week sales since Born This Way. In Japan, it ranked among the biggest international albums in recent years; in Finland, it was the only international album to crack the Top 10; and in Ireland, three MAYHEM tracks landed in the Top 40—reinforcing its worldwide impact.

In its first week alone, MAYHEM amassed over 240 million streams worldwide, marking her biggest streaming week ever. It also marked her biggest vinyl week to date, with 74,000 units sold across 14 collectible variants, some of which featured exclusive bonus tracks like “Kill for Love” and “Can’t Stop the High.” The digital edition of the album includes music videos for “Die With a Smile,” “Disease,” and “Abracadabra,” all of which helped fuel the album’s massive first week impact.

“Die With a Smile,” Gaga’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, continues to break records, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart for a 13th consecutive week. With more than 100 million streams worldwide each week, the track is now tied for the third-longest-running No. 1 in chart history.

MAYHEM marks a return to Gaga’s pop roots, reaffirming that she is a master of reinvention, crafting an album that is as bold and eclectic as it is deeply personal. A declaration of artistic freedom, it embraces the fractured pieces of oneself and how they come together to form something unexpected and beautiful. The album mirrors this concept with its diverse sonic palette and thematic layers, combining elements of chaos, defiance, and vulnerability into a cohesive artistic statement. Gaga describes this process as assembling a shattered mirror: “Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something memorable and whole in its own way.

  • GaGa Garbage

by wickedwizard on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Really went in with high expectations but was completely shocked at how bad this concert was. Poor opening act (random DJ) whose set was cut short due to equipment malfunction. Long wait for Lady GaGa to hit stage. Half her set was a cheesy lounge act interspersed with horrible video vignettes. Mic levels not adjusted when switching from backup tracking to accoustic so high pitched yelling ruined a fairly decent vocal performance.

  • Lady gaga was late and clearly intoxicated

by ebourgau on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

As a fan of Lady Gaga I can say that I'm thoroughly dissapointed that she came on more than 2 hours late. I have seen large theatrical shows including Madonna and Cher amongst others and have never experience celebrity tartiness like this. I think it's disrespectful to your fans and not a wise thing to do this early on in your career. She should have addressed the fact that she was late instead of displaying her level of intoxication!! It really turned our group of girls off of her music..I was really rooting for her. The venue however was very quaint and comfortable, intimate even. And I was very glad that there was a bar..because waiting 2 hours standing up is a VERY VERY long time...

  • GaGa Rocked it!

    by GaGa4GaGa on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Lady GaGa put on an amazing show!!!! She was full of energy and really worked the crowd!! The intimacy of her and us was AWESOME!!!! I cant wait until she comes back to TORONTO :) Her style was insane and unpredictable as usual!!! I HEART GAGA!!!!

  • Lady Gaga is taking over the World!!!

by jmicanada on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Lady Gaga is amazing, plain and simple. What i didnt like was that we had to wait for over 2 hours standing in the Kool Haus waiting for her to arrive. In fact, folks started to boo!!! I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the wait Once she got started, she won the crowd over. Lady Gaga has talent, no questions about it. She can sing dance as well play instruments. Lets not even talk fashion, Lady Gaga needs to start her own fashion line!!!! Gaga is taking over the world

  • Worth the Wait!

by ticketmasterfan on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The fans were getting anxious when the wait for Gaga was quite long. Not sure if this was Gaga's fault or the Kool Haus... HOWEVER once she came out... her vocals were impressive!! She talked to the crowd after each song and was veryyy outgoing! Her outfits were unusual and hilarious - as always. She mentioned this was the last time she would be performing without a band with her. So it seems like her future tours will be big performances and likely to be at huge venues. Would go see her again in the future!! Because I had 'some fun and her beat was sick....'

  • Lady Gaga is AMAZING!

    by GaGaGirl2 on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The girl has got talent!!! She proved that she has the chops and her singing is not a fabrication through several acapella-style songs. She also proved to be a talented piano player and very definitely puts on an amazing, high energy show! The only downside to the event was the wait for Lady GaGa to actually start her show. I'm not sure whose fault this is: the event doors opened at 8pm and I think everyone expected her to come on by 9pm. When she didn't start until after 10:30pm, it seemed like people were going to riot! The music played by the DJ was a great distraction to the wait time, however, her actual start time should have been somehow provided. And although she is a diva, fans were upset by her tardiness. She is SO about her fans, though, so whatever bitterness the audience felt was quickly quashed by her great music, amazing singing talent, great show, and love for her fans! It was a REALLY great show!!

  • Great Show!

by Foles on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Lady Gaga was in great form! Played all of her hits!

  • Long Wait for What?

by Keadin on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

My girlfriend and I were super pumped to see the show; we're both really big fans. But when we got there GaGa didn't take stage for four hours, making us wait in the most pressurized crowd I've ever been in. The crowd began booing and flipping the stage off at the three hour mark, and it's hard not to blame them, with no opening act and just a white sheet with a single picture of GaGa on it it's hard to not get pissed. So after four hours of combat with the other attendants GaGa finally took stage to a fantastic open, and most of the songs were great. Then she got in her bubble suit and just kept talking and talking. Then she played some new song that's not yet released, which sucked. Then she changed back and did 2 more songs and left. The set didn't help anything either. I don't know if Kool Haus had a limit on dressings, but the show really was held on an entirely black stage with a small elevated platform and a few rows of lights. This left things looking pretty dull. All in all we waited through four hours of hell to see 45 minutes, 15 of which was mind numbingly dull. A real disappointment for fans.

  • what a deceit :-(

by Bruno on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

The was show expected to start at 9PM, but the artist only showed-up at 10:45PM (?!) The sound was less than desirable --- I would say it was a total deception; not worth the money.

  • Gaga was great

by Superannie on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself was great, she sounds awesome live but were standing for almost 2 hours waiting for her to come onstage. We didn't know why we were waiting either, whether it was a technical difficulty or she hadn't arrived. The crowd was getting kinda restless and annoyed.

  • Lady Gaga show

    by Rockfan2009 on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

We waited way too long for her to come on the stage. Her stage show left something to be desired. Long waits between costume changes, no decor on the stage. I think this show was thrown together at the last minute because she was in Toronto for the MMVA's. Her music was well received although lots of lip syncing. Mr. Perez Hilton was in attendance enjoying himself. Gaga talks a lot on stage about nothing...She tries to be dramatic with her short films (Candy Warhol)..It was creative at least. Whether she will be the next Madonna or not remains to be seen I guess.

  • Lady Gaga is amazing!!

by LadyGagaFan on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Lady Gaga puts on an incredible show! She dances around and belts out her songs while wearing her fashions.

  • GAGA WAS NUTS

by TimJ on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The girl knows how to rock a stage! Can't wait to see her again!

  • Lady Gaga is the new pop icon!

by Soulshock on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Lady Gaga has risen as the new pop icon. Her show is fantastic, she is a true artist and can put on quite a show. I can't wait to see what she is going to do next.

  • completed my life.

by vdoll on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

well between the costume changes and heel banging piano playing, she was by far the best performer ive ever seen live. She is very strange, but in the most mesmerizing way. comparable to freddie mercury of queen-- and that says alot! there was one issue though... she was scheduled to start at 8 and came out at 10:45!! that sucked. crowd get very anxious. She was somewhat sexual...I would've been uncomfortable with anyone under 14. overall, fantastic!

  • got my poker face on at lady gaga!!!

by boyfix on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

she has catchy tunes... she's allover the radio and on tv... but after seeing her perform live, there is no doubt that lady gaga is one of today's leading edge performers. down to earth and thankful for all her fans, (particularly her canadian ones), she really can work an audience to a frenzy. she is innovative and creative. there is certainly no one like her and her haus of gaga!!! she sang an acapella version of poker face wearing a bubble dress and playing on a bubble piano!!! my favourite parts included her talking about wanting to be a star and her wishes for the audience to be stars too, her thoughts on prop 8 and ending with poker face while sprawled on a speaker right beside me!!! gotta love it!!! she rocked at the mmva's too, but who didn't already hear about that one!!! the kool haus has to be the best venue in town... u can see the show from virtually anywhere and there is a bar every which way u turn. i was a fan of lady gaga before the show, but now i am just gaga for lady gaga!!!

  • The Lady made us go Gaga

by vivido on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Although the show started very late, it was worth the wait. Lady Gaga sang, danced, posed and even smoked for about 10 seconds and in every single moment and song she was wonderful.

  • Too long of a wait!

by forreal on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

I waited 3 hours long for a 1 hour performance from her. The wait was terrible. Her performance was pretty good and she sounded pretty good live. The standing wasn't worth it.

  • Absolutey Amazing!

gaga was great and the venue (kool haus) has a fun vibe. Although, the concert started much later than scheduled Too late
