About

Across their career Lamb Of God grew from basement shows and grimy DIY venues to headline arenas. The New Wave of American Heavy Metal architects earned a reverence akin to musical forefathers (and road companions) Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth.

"For millions of headbangers, Lamb Of God are simply the most important contemporary metal band in the world," Guitar World observed. Timeless songs like "Laid to Rest," "Redneck," "Walk with Me in Hell," and "Now You've Got Something to Die For" became anthems in the heavy metal songbook, with gargantuan vocals born from both righteous anger and devotion, and unrivaled riffs for the ages.

Now, the Grammy-nominated goliath follows 2020's self-titled slab with a vicious new testament. Riding high on an insatiable drive, a focused collective camaraderie, and a creative renaissance saluted by the likes of Rolling Stone and NME, Lamb Of God returned to longtime producer Josh Wilbur (Megadeth, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold) and carved the gloriously unhinged Omens into sonic stone.

Even as D. Randall Blythe (vocals), Mark Morton (lead guitar), Willie Adler (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Art Cruz (drums) enjoy one another's company and chemistry like never before, Omens is possibly the angriest Lamb Of God album yet. Densely muscular, soaked in unnerving spite, with a pessimistic eye toward inner struggles and global affairs alike, Omens is a furious entry in the catalog.

Most of the album was recorded live in the studio, including Blythe's vibrantly unhinged vocal attack. Morton and Adler's riffs threaten, challenge, and devastate. Cruz and Campbell's unstoppable rhythms lurch and beckon. Having shined on 2020's Lamb Of God, Cruz injects even more nuance and personality into his playing across Omens' songs.

It's a potent, palpable energy Lamb Of God first tapped when they shoved heavy metal into the new millennium with New American Gospel (2000). As the Palaces Burn (2003) joined Rolling Stone's Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. Ashes of the Wake (2004) was the first Lamb Of Gold album certified gold by the RIAA, a feat once all but impossible for a contemporary extreme metal band.

Sacrament (2006), Revolver's Album of the Year, went gold as well. The raw and organic malice of Wrath (2009) began the band's enduring relationship with Wilbur. Both the diverse Resolution (2012) and the explosive VII: Sturm und Drang (2015) debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200.

The 2020 self-titled set, their first new material in five years, added instant classics "Memento Mori" and "Resurrection Man" to the repertoire, alongside eight more monster tracks. Revolver, Metal Hammer, Loudwire, and Consequence included Lamb Of God on their year-end Best Albums lists. The momentum continues with Omens, arguably the band's most aggressive and ambitious yet.

The hardcore fire at the heart of Lamb Of God still burns as hot as the 12-foot flames blazing the stages on their co-headlining trek with Megadeth, appropriately called "The Metal Tour of the Year." Even as the state of the world descends, the state of the union for Lamb Of God remains strong.

LOG was amazing! The venue was shit. Not enough personnel at beer/food stations. Washrooms were pathetic.

  • Amazing experience w. small hiccup

by Jess on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The show was so so soo good! I'm a fan of each band that played this event so I was very excited. The night of was a tiny bit confusing because the tickets said doors were at 6PM but the online event said that doors were at 5PM - so that was a bit hard to follow but I figured it out. The event itself was wild. Loved the setup for the night! The huge merch table by our section was very convenient and efficient. The food and drink service was great considering how busy the night was. General admission looked like a lot of fun and seemed safe and secure (lots of security and help getting crowd-surfers down safely). My group and I had a great night - thanks Ticketmaster, Lamb of God, and MRG Live! I'll remember this night for the rest of my life because my (late) bandmate, Bradley Hart, and band, Blood of the Phoenix got a shoutout from Killswitch Engage - and that's absolutely worth the ticket price & then some.

  • Night Never 24 Get

by Lamb Destroyed The Joint on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Best dam show of my life. 5th time seeing LOG and it was the best ever experience to date. Sound was awesome, pyro ruled, cool machine kicked ass. Son and I were front fo stage all night. Bands super interactive, got a John Campbell pick, an Art Cruz stick and high five. All the supporting acts ruled. Spiritbox, ridiculous! KSE insane! Fit for an Autopsy, brilliant, nicest sounding toms to F the night too. Beauty venue and campus, security did an an excellent job saving crowd surfers and landing them on their feet every time. Well worth the price of admission!!

  • Amazing show all around.

Show was great, venue was great. lots of lineups for food and merch. 👍 Success! I just with the doors open times were more clear. i thought the doors opened at 6 and not show started at 6. i missed the opener and they are who i was really excited for. But Lamb of God was amazing.

  • Set times would have been helpful and more bars

by Jessie on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

Disappointed that my ticket said doors at 6, and show at 7pm. Arrived at 6:20pm to see first band was wrapping up their set. I paid a lot for my tickets and wanted to see all the bands. Would have been great if the information on my ticket was correct and in addition to that set-times were posted to prevent people from missing the show. Also the lineups for drinks was so long you would have to miss bands in order to get a drink. There needed to be more bars open to help with the volume. The staff was helpful though and the sound was good. Just seems like some logistical issues need to be sorted out for future shows.

  • Love it!

They put on such a good show. Legendary. Can’t wait for the next one.

  • Great show but not enough Spiritbox!

by Fitz on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Great show! Lamb of God was great and had a stellar set. Glad to finally see them. Killswitch Engaged had a solid and suprisingly funny set. Spiritbox was who MANY of us were there to see though and they only played like 7 songs!?! How?! I would have liked at least 15 more mins of them. They are a must see

  • Best time of my life

by Vanna on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I had the absolute time of my life! My favourite band in the world. They were 100 times better in person then I thought. Although the floor wasn’t full and there was so much more room for the die hard fans! I tried to go onto the floor because the band said they wanted everyone possible down there rocking out. And there was more then enough room but the security wouldn’t let me in , if you think about it the band should want it packed for publicity and videos. Would have looked so much better. But I’m grateful I got to watch lamb of god. It was a dream come true.

  • Incredible Musicianship

by Chris on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

These guys were just unreal, I have always like them and listened to them throughout the years but seeing them live has made me a lifelong fan to a much higher degree:)

  • LoG Is Metal Bliss

by Todd on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show all around from the entire cast, but Lamb of God takes the cake. Randy Blythe is an amazing frontman, storyteller and metal legend. The visuals and sound quality were top notch. The circle pit on Laid To Rest was epi .

  • Absolutely amazung!

by Huggy_43 on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Randy still sounds absolutely amazing and had so much energy. The cannons and fire coming off the stage plus epic sound made a spectacular show! I hadn't seen them in 12 years and loved every second of it. The only room for improvement would be the arena itself. It took about 15 mins to get a beer as they only had 2 tills open on either side. Have some beer only kiosks and then other lineups for food!

  • Badass

by Matt Oak on 2022-10-12UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible performances, hearing the blasting music, and harsh vocals fill the stadium was incredible. 11/10

  • Lamb Of God Review!!!

by RandyCampbell on 2017-07-29Metropolis - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Definitely worth going, metropolis is the best venue and the metal bands that go are always so well received by the crowd. Had such a great time and a great experience at metropolis once again! All bands were great!!

  • Ears still ringing!

by mruncle on 2016-06-12Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! This band can rock. Great sound, but venue wasn't right for them. No mosh pit, and too loud. All in all was an awesome show. If you're thinking about seeing them, stop thinking and buy your tickets! Well worth the money.
