About

Driving guitar solos and throbbing rhythms make up the heavy metal produced by Orlando-based metalcore outfit Trivium. Since their start in 2000, the four-member band has sold more than a million albums and toured alongside other big-ticket metal acts like Iron Maiden, As I Lay Dying and GWAR.

Their most recent effort, “Vengeance Falls,” surfaced in October 2013 and landed at No. 15 on The Billboard 200, as well as in the Top 10 on Japanese and Australian album charts. Along with a discography of six full-length records and a healthy U.S. tour history, Trivium has also handled concerts throughout Europe, Japan and Australia.

For the 2006 collection “The Crusade,” Trivium frontman Matt Heafy took a slight departure from his metalcore scream to deliver more traditional singing vocals that some compared to Metallica. That album debuted at No. 25 on The Billboard 200, and Heafy went back to his signature scream for the follow-up, 2008’s “Shogun,” and subsequent releases.

  • Amazing but

The VIP Meet and Greet experience was absolutely amazing, incredible, Trivium are just so down to earth and nice guys! The only really bad thing is that when we go for the Side Stage Experience, we (8 VIPs) all had to leave your VIP seats/front row that we were able to get because we were in the building before the general admission. Once the VIP Side Stage is over, we were sent back to the General Admission but ended being sent back at the far end and behind everyone!! ONE suggestion would be to allow VIP / Side Stage experience guests "8" to be able to access the vip lodges #5-#6 or D-G. The ones right beside the stage. We were all sent back and ended being at the far end of the MTelus which was extremely disappointing and frustrating.

This was my first metal show. I waited for a while in line, I showed up early to get a good seat. The opening band was good, they looked like Metalica in 1990. Then it was Whitechapel and the sound test got everyone hyped up. They tested the kick drum and it was so loud and sounded so good. It was like sitting inside of the kick drum. It took the air out of you when it played. The entire concert had great sound, just the right volume and mix. Maybe a little bit too much rumbly bass from bass guitar but other than that sounded perfect. The venue was great, although pretty tough to get there and back from Union Station in Toronto. The crowd was wild during all the bands. At first I had a really close up spot but I decided to go further back go to the moshpit. The moshpit was wild, people were jumping and going crazy for the entire show. I made friends in that moshpit, like 10 friends. If you fell in the moshpit, at least 2 people would run to help you out as fast as possible. There were people kind of overseeing the safety of the pit. Making sure everyone is okay. There was a fight about to break out but Matt Heafy saw it and told them to seperate, those guys were right next to me and for a second Matt was looking at me and I made a funny face! BTBAM was who I was there for. Dustie Waring could have shown some more energy and I wish they would have played another song off Colors (my fave album by them)(they only played Sun of Nothing) but their show was great, a good moshpit for most of the show and the lighting was great. It was different shades of white until certain special moments it went pink and blue and other colours. The crowd was dancing, dancing not anything else like slow dancing to the quiet parts of BTBAM which was super fun. Incredible show, next time I'll have a big meal before it, I was hungry at 5PM and the show went until 11:30 or so. I was exhausted, thirsty, hungry, and I couldn't really fully enjoy Trivium because of that. Next time I'll bring a sealed water bottle (I think you can take those in?), I'll have food before and some sort of caffeine. Also I learned you can't mosh with a backpack, my sunglasses broke :( Overall, fire concert! 12/10. That was exactly what you want from a metal concert, exactly what I hoped it would be like. Will see them next time and bring more of my friends, I can convert them to metal! P.S. The concert smelled like weed, sweat, beer, and ass.

  • Dare I say, "life-changing"?

Pefection. From the sound, to lighting, to the stage... all of it. TRIVIUM is one of my absolute favorite bands. Their show at the Burton Cummings Theatre (Winnipeg, MB) was the best concert performance I've ever attended. Im looking forward to the next time they come around!

  • Marvellous Modern Metal

A fantastic event overall. Event staff was friendly and helpful. Opening bands provided a variety of different styles giving the audience an adventure in heavy music. It is tough to attenuate/control low frequencies when using 18 inch or 21 inch subwoofers. Overkill for a value of this size. Kick drum punch would have been better suited to 15 inch subs especially with the machine gun double bass technique involved with music in this genre. But that is really being fussy. Overall the sound was excellent. Trivium is in a class all by themselves. World class heavy metal rock stars that delighted all in attendance. Remarkable talent. Five stars but for goodness sake’s downsize the subs would you?
